Chapter 185: Little Flower Red Building

Xu Huo continued running not far ahead, his pace seeming to have slowed slightly.Zheng Liang didn't believe he could run this long without getting tired, so he closed the distance again and appeared on his left side, this time pulling out a gun from behind his waist.

But Xu Huo was faster than him, intercepting the gun with a swift motion and pressing a button that made the magazine slide out. He caught it smoothly and immediately threw it toward another player charging from behind.

That player was startled and quickly dodged sideways as the magazine grazed his face and embedded itself in a roadside sign.

"Are you really qualified to play with something this dangerous?" Xu Huo released his grip, removed the pistol's slide, and stabbed it into Zheng Liang's arm. When Zheng Liang cried out in pain and loosened his hold, Xu Huo smoothly took the pistol and disassembled it into pieces within moments, scattering them on the ground.

Zheng Liang threw a punch at his face, but Xu Huo simply tilted his head to avoid it and kicked him behind the knee.

As Zheng Liang buckled, a hand pressed down on his head. Xu Huo forced his head toward the ground and asked, "Having fun?"

"Xu Huo, damn your ancestors!" Zheng Liang shouted, making a tackle toward the man in front of him.

However, Xu Huo had already stepped aside. Seeing Zheng Liang collide with the player who had been planning to ambush from behind, Xu Huo turned and ran away decisively.

"After him! I'll give twenty thousand White Bills to whoever catches him!" Zheng Liang pushed away the companion he'd crashed into, fuming with rage.

That player glanced at the distant figure of Xu Huo and said, "Just chasing after him probably won't be enough to stop him."

The implication was that they needed to use some special methods.

Zheng Liang hesitated briefly before saying, "Injuring or maiming him is fine, just don't kill him."

"No problem, we'll make sure you get to take revenge personally," the player smiled, giving a meaningful look to his companions behind him while running his right hand over his shoulder and leg.

His companions immediately understood, dispersing from the main road to flank Xu Huo from both sides.

But at that moment, Xu Huo suddenly accelerated, instantly widening the distance between them.

The players used some long-range attack items, but Xu Huo seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, accurately dodging every single one.

A young man wearing a skull-print t-shirt with a thick chain around his neck happened to be passing by and interjected, "Why are you dragging me into this? If you've got the guts, go deal with Xu Huo yourselves."

The players laughed heartily, rubbing their hands together eagerly. "Just watch what we do next!"

However, over the next ten-plus minutes, they continued being led around the loop. Even the rain had stopped. People on the roadside had already noticed their commotion, many holding up phones to record them, with someone asking, "Are you guys running a marathon?"

Regardless of how the dozen or so players behind felt, Zheng Liang at the front was torn between rage and regret. Just as he was hesitating whether to give up, Gu Yu drove up from behind, pulling alongside him and saying with a smile, "Your clothes have dried from running. I think we should call it quits."

Zheng Liang flipped onto the car roof and patted it. "Chase after him!"

Gu Yu looked ahead and stepped on the accelerator, but suddenly a mist rose in her field of vision.

There had been no fog in the air during the earlier rain, but now that the sky had cleared, a faint mist was rising from the road.

One end of the elevator corridor reached a dead end where the original floor-to-ceiling windows had shattered. Looking out from inside, everything was a blank white, making it impossible to estimate the building's height.

The exterior wall had many withered climbing plants, their hanging stems and leaves completely covering the windows below.

Xu Huo followed the mottled marks on the floor toward the other side. After about ten meters, he encountered a second elevator. The bloodstains outside this elevator were identical to those near the previous one.
