Kai dies in a factory, not a battlefield.

Exhausted hands, sour chemical air, hospital lights that never quite turn white—this is what his father’s debts buy him. By the time Kaivel “Kai” Intrix realizes his youth has been spent paying for a man who walked away, his body is already breaking. Lying on a cold floor with his lungs on fire, he doesn’t beg for forgiveness or peace. He craves everything he never had: money without counting coins, food that isn’t instant noodles, a warm body in his bed, a life where he answers to no one.

Kai opens his eyes again in a distant future that looks like a fever dream: cities armored in shimmering barriers, neon sigils painted across the sky, monsters pouring from rifts that stink of blood and ozone. Hunters stalk the streets with blades of light and spells that bend gravity, the last thin line between humanity and extinction.

Into this world strides a man who has already worked himself into the grave once and refuses to do it again. The Sinner System laces his soul with powers born from the Seven Deadly Sins, offering skills and evolutions as twisted and tempting as the desires that birthed them.

This time, Kai isn’t aiming to be a good person or a quiet hero. He wants power, fame, obscene wealth, overflowing plates and bottles, every pleasure he was denied. To get it, he will bleed monsters, bargain with Hunters, and lean into the very vices that doom others.

If sin is the price of living on his own terms, he intends to pay it in full—and collect interest.
