Chapter 5 - Full of Harvest

Xu Shu silently went over his recent encounter, utterly disgusted by the sinister “Tai Chu Scroll” in his mind, though his hands kept moving, feeling a golden rectangular item.

When he touched it, the texture was neither metal nor wood, but rather soft, like the feel of animal skin!

Xu Shu was curious.

Just as he was about to pick it up to take a closer look, a burning pain suddenly shot through his hand.

He quickly dropped it and looked down, only to see a red patch forming on his palm.

“Damn, that’s hot!

He clipped the two high heels to his belt and headed outside to the corridor, shouting, “Hey?

Is anyone still alive?”

After a while, responses came intermittently from upstairs and downstairs.

People were knocking on doors, pleading for help.

He went ahead and found a set of keys hanging by the door, each marked with a cell number.

He took them and began unlocking the cells, freeing these unfortunate souls.

However, when he got to cell 217, Xu Shu suddenly stopped.

“Brother, please, hurry up and save me!

I’m injured, I need to stop the bleeding, please let me out,” the man inside sounded slightly guilty.

Xu Shu sneered, “Stop pretending.

Xu Shu, with a heart strong as ever, treated his threats like a dog barking, ignoring him completely.

Additionally, two others on the first floor were making faces, but Xu Shu recognized them as associates of the same traffickers and locked them in, unable to hold back from cursing out loud.

Altogether, nearly twenty survivors were rescued, all young and middle-aged men.
