"Yeah, resting today," An Ran said while frying eggs, "You go wait at the dining table, it will be ready soon. I made fried eggs and porridge, is that okay?"

"Yes, anything you make is fine."

"I’m going to pick up Xiao Xiao later, and I’ll be back at school tonight. If you don’t know how to cook, you should go back to your place. Oh, and your vacation should be over too." After speaking, An Ran realized she might have said a bunch of nonsense.

Mu Xingfeng chuckled softly and replied, "Mm, I know."

Doesn’t the little girl’s concern mean that he didn’t waste this week of freeloading?

Xiao Xiao’s bus was scheduled to arrive at 11 o’clock. To avoid suspicion, An Ran packed her things from Longteng Xinyuan and brought them along, thinking she might as well take them back to school together.
