Chapter 47: Caught In The Act 2

Gods... I had waited so long for this moment.For years, whenever Camilla clung to Julian with that sickening closeness, the Morrigans, my former parents would brush it off."Oh, they’re like siblings," they said."A close friendship ," they said.

Every when it was obvious in and so suspicious, they still maintained that they are like siblings.

But every body with instincts could smell the truth from 20 miles away .

And when I dared to mention it just once everyone turned on me.I was "jealous."I was "imagining things."I was "twisting innocent moments."

So I stayed silent.And I waited.

I always pictured exposing them one day in front of the entire pack at a gathering, a ceremony, maybe even at a wedding.I dreamed of tearing off their mask while everyone watched.

But I never imagined the chance would fall right into my hands.

Sweet sweet revenge. Moments like this made me thankful for being reborn.

Malcom moved first rage vibrating off him l.He charged ahead He didn’t even pause.

His boot crashed into the greenhouse door.

Bang!

Then a click as his hand slapped the light switch.

And the moment the lights flared on...everything inside was exposed.

Without hesitation, I lifted my phone and began recording.This wasn’t just for me this was proof.This was the truth I was denied in my last life.The evidence I would unleash when the moment was right maybe even at Julian’s own wedding.

Camilla stood frozen like a prey caught under a spotlight.

She was half-naked, chest bare to the cold air, palms pressed against the glass wall behind her.Only a thin skirt clung to her hips nothing beneath it.She hadn’t come here by accident.She came prepared to seduce, Julian again with her body.

Julian ripped himself away from her so fast he nearly slipped.He fumbled with his clothes, trying to cover himself, trying to hide the truth like we had not all seen him.

But the truth was already everywhere.

Her flushed skin.Her swollen scent.Her trembling breath.

She was carrying a child no one knew about and and still tried to seduce him like this, in the pack house.so Desperate and Reckless.

And Julian?His upper body was still clothed, barely touched.He had been the one in control and he knew what he was doing.

Except for one thing he couldn’t hide:

He hadn’t even bothered to zip himself.That part of him hung exposed undeniable, vulgar, and so humiliating.

Camilla scrambled backward , her hands shaking as she grabbed for her clothes. She yanked her shirt over her head with trembling fingers, trying to hide the nakedness that had already told the whole story.

Vivian let out a sharp, broken cry behind me.

"Y-You two... how could you "Her voice cracked. Her eyes rolled back.

Before I could even reach for her, she collapsed.

"Mom!" Nolan shouted, sprinting forward. He caught her just in time, his expression twisting between shock and panic. I didn’t even know that he had joined us. A proud brother, always defending his fragile and uptight younger sister.

Julian stepped forward too, pale as a ghost.

"Please, Dad, let me explain "

But Malcom wasn’t listening.

Not to him.Not to anyone.

His wolf was already taking over.

He surged toward Camilla with a snarl echoing in his chest. His palm cracked across her face so hard the sound echoed through the entire greenhouse. She flew sideways, slamming into the glass wall with a choked gasp.

The impact shook the whole building .

And it shook something inside me too.

I had been slapped like that before.More times than I could count.

Whenever Camilla lied, twisted the truth, cried her fake tears... Malcom never questioned her. He hit first and never asked questions later.

Once, he hit me so hard in the ear that the ringing lasted months. My hearing never fully returned on that side. And yet even then even when I was injured he still struck me again.

To him, Camilla was the sun.Bright. Untouchable. Innocent.

And me?

I was the shadow and black sheep he blamed for everything.

But now?

Now their perfect sun had fallen.Burned out.Caught in the very filth she created.

And I wondered...Did it hurt?Did it sting to see the daughter they worshipped exposed like this?Did their chests ache with betrayal the way mine once did?

If there was ever a moment for Julian to act like a real man to stand before the pack, to admit what he had done,to take responsibility for the she-wolf he’d just had his hands on , this was it.

But he didn’t.

Of course he didn’t.

Lewis stood beside me, silent.Still.Watching. but there was disappointment in the way his wolf pushed beneath his skin.

You only feel disappointed when you expected something better.

And for a moment, I wondered...

Why did Lewis expect anything from Julian?

Then he finally spoke.

"You did this?"

His voice wasn’t loud. The dominance in his tone froze the air.Even my wolf shivered at the weight of it.

Julian panicked instantly.

"No no! You don’t understand! It wasn’t me it was her!"

His hand shot out, pointing at Camilla.

"She came onto me! She seduced me!"

His voice cracked as he threw her under the bus, right in front of everyone, abandoning her like she meant nothing.

And that was the moment the everyones attention shifted.

Eyes widened.Breaths hitched.Even the Morrigan stared in stunned silence.

Because everyone knew what we were all seeing

Julian’s guilt.

How pathetic he was. Was he ever worth being called an alpha?

How easy it was for him to do this even when he was a very very willing participant.

Hearing Julian twist the truth so easily didn’t make me happy. It didn’t give me any thrill. It only left a hollow ache in my chest, the same empty space where my heart used to beat for him. There was no joy in watching him fall apart. Only regret. Regret that I had loved a man who never deserved me.

Regret that I had spent so many seasons by his side, believing he was loyal, believing he cared, when all he ever did was tear me apart piece by piece.

My loyalty, my faith, my bond to him had led me to a cruel death.

And now I stood here alive again, looking at him with new eyes, seeing clearly what I should have seen long ago.
