"Mm. Good," Leon said, then shifted his gaze to both of them. "What have you two been doing? And how much time has passed?"

"About two hours, Master," Elis answered calmly.

"I was just sleeping, Master," Dusk added.

"Good. Let's go, Dusk. Elis, I'll be taking my leave for today." Leon spoke with a neutral expression as he looked at Elis.

"I'll be waiting for your return, Master," Elis said with another bow.

Leon placed a hand on Dusk's back and spoke in a low tone "Take me to the first floor."

Both of them vanished in an instant.

First Floor

Leon and Dusk reappeared on the first floor. The faint sound of hammering echoed on the first floor.

"Good." Leon reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded handkerchief. "Let's get you home."

"Again?" Kai asked, eyeing the cloth.

Leon escorted him out of the dungeon, the fading light of the sun casting long shadows across the forest.

A sudden chill rode in on the wind. Heavy dark clouds loomed above in the sky.

"It's going to snow soon," Leon replied as he looked up and exited Vinceral Forest.

They started walking towards the village but, just then, a wagon rumbled in from the direction of the village, headed toward the kingdom.

Leon raised his hand and signaled the driver to stop.

"Go. I'll pick you up at your shop tomorrow at ten," Leon said, already turning to walk away.

"Alright. Take me to the kingdom, please," Kai told the driver as he climbed inside the wagon.

The driver cracked the reins, and the wagon rolled away towards the kingdom.

Village Gates, 30 Minutes Later...

The wooden gates of the village loomed ahead, lit by wooden torches.

"Leon! How are you ?" one of the gate guards called out with a grin.

"Good," Leon replied flatly, striding past them without slowing.

One of the guards leaned toward the other. "When did he adopt a cat?"

As Leon was walking towards his house, he suddenly noticed a man standing in front of the village chief's house.

He was none other than, charles himself the butler of Julia Klen.

But without giving him too much attention he continued to walk forward.

"Mr. Leon Luster..." Charles spoke as soon as Leon crossed him.

"No, I am busy." Leon replied with a neutral expression as he started walking once again.

"You should really listen to me if you don't want to get kicked out of the village with your family." Charles spoke.

Leon stopped once again and turned around to look at Charles with a serious expression.

"What ?" He asked.

"Madam Julia wants to meet you... Come in." Charles spoke as he immediately walked upto the door and opened it for Leon.
