Chapter 23 - You Are Not Worthy to Be My Enemies

Long Qianqian spoke with a face full of excitement and anticipation, clearly passionate about racing.

“If that’s the case, then let’s go take a look.

Come pick me up at the Ye Family after half past five tomorrow afternoon,” Xiao Yifeng said indifferently.

“Brother-in-law, I want to go too!” Ye Yashi suddenly interjected.

“What are you going there for?

You don’t even know how to race,” Long Qianqian said with a glance at Ye Yashi.

“Just because I can’t race doesn’t mean I can’t go, right?

I can still watch, and besides, I need to stick by my brother-in-law’s side, in case you try any funny business with him,” Ye Yashi said with a glare at Long Qianqian.

Xiao Yifeng felt he had his hands full with these two.

They were like natural enemies.

To put an end to this scene, he quickly finished eating and had Long Qianqian leave first.

Afterward, Xiao Yifeng took Ye Yashi’s Beetle back to Haitang Garden.

However, when the Beetle reached a quiet and secluded street, suddenly several cars blocked their way, effectively sealing off the Beetle’s route.

Ye Yashi slammed on the brakes, and the Beetle came to an abrupt stop.

Looking at those three Jinbei vans, her complexion changed.

Soon, the doors of the three Jinbei vans opened, and a group of men wielding sharp knives stepped out, at least twenty of them, eyeing the Beetle with predatory gazes.

Seeing this group of men, Xiao Yifeng’s eyes narrowed.

He turned to Ye Yashi and said, “I’ll get out.

You drive back.”

“No way, I can’t leave you behind,” Ye Yashi quickly replied.

“Don’t worry, your brother-in-law is like Superman, nothing will happen to me.

You go back to the villa and wait for me, I’ll be back soon,” Xiao Yifeng reassured her calmly.

“But there are so many of them.

Can you handle them alone?” Ye Yashi asked, her pretty face filled with concern as she looked at Xiao Yifeng.

Xiao Yifeng’s lips curved into a smile, one that was confident and slightly wicked, “Even if ten times as many people came, your brother-in-law wouldn’t be in any trouble.

Trust me, you leave first.”

“Well…

okay then.” Seeing Xiao Yifeng’s confidently smiling face, Ye Yashi felt an inexplicable trust welling up inside her.

“Get out!”

A man wielding a sharp knife strode forward and smashed it against the body of the Beetle, producing a loud clang.

Xiao Yifeng opened the car door and stepped out, slowly walking to the front of the vehicle.

He waved his hand, and after Ye Yashi gave Xiao Yifeng one last look, she hesitated for a moment before starting the car, reversing, and then driving off after turning the Beetle around.

The group watched the Beetle drive away without giving chase; clearly, their target was Xiao Yifeng.

Two figures stepped out from the Jinbei vans again, one of them was the thug, Biaozi, from the bar, and the other was Brother Dao, the man with that long, centipede-like scar on his face that made him look somewhat fierce in the darkness, like a devil incarnate.

Looking at Biaozi, Xiao Yifeng said indifferently, “Are you here to settle the score for what happened in the bar?”

“Not exactly, but you’ve been poking your nose into too many things, so you have to die,” Brother Dao said coldly, his eyes flashing with a chill.

Xiao Yifeng pulled out a pack of unbranded cigarettes, took one out, lit it, and inhaled.

Exhaling a thick plume of smoke, he said.

“You’re not the first to say that to me,” Xiao Yifeng remarked, holding the cigarette loosely between his fingers.

“Oh, is that so?

It seems you have quite a few enemies!” Brother Dao sneered.

“Indeed, there are quite a few.

Though they were much stronger than you, it’s just a pity that in the end, they all died.”

Xiao Yifeng took another drag from the cigarette, his eyes deep, with a hint of reminiscence.

“So you think all of us are going to die here tonight, do you?” Brother Dao said with disdain as he glanced at Xiao Yifeng.

“Brother Dao, I think this kid is just showing off.

With so many of us here, each with a knife, we could chop him into more than a dozen pieces.

Let’s see if he still puts on airs then,” Biaozi hummed with a sneering face.

“To tell you the truth, you’re not worthy to be my enemies,” Xiao Yifeng said indifferently as he glanced at the group, with rings of smoke billowing from his nostrils.

Suddenly, Brother Dao’s face darkened, and his eyes surged with a cold glint as he said, “Kid, I’ll let you know what happens to people who talk big.”

“Get him, but leave him breathing,” Brother Dao ordered coldly.

In an instant, more than ten men armed with sharp knives rushed up, brandishing their chilly blades at Xiao Yifeng, each appearing skilled and striking fiercely.

Whoosh!

At that moment, Xiao Yifeng flicked the half-smoked cigarette from his hand with a powerful hurl.

The half-burnt cigarette, trailing sparks, hit one man’s face.

The man screamed in agony, dropped his weapon, and wailed with his face clutched.

Xiao Yifeng stepped forward and threw a straight punch.

Bang!

The man received Xiao Yifeng’s punch and was blown backward, crashing to the ground and spitting blood.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

At that moment, several blades descended upon Xiao Yifeng, the blades’ edges bringing fierce gusts in their sweep toward him.

Xiao Yifeng stood his ground, his body suddenly arching backward as the long sabers swished past in front of him.

Immediately, Xiao Yifeng reached out with both hands, grabbed the wrists of two men holding knives, and squeezed hard.

Both men screamed as their wrists snapped, dropping their weapons to the ground.

Bang, bang!

Xiao Yifeng’s fists shot out, landing on the chests of the two men, caving in their ribcages.

They slammed against a Jinbei van like they had been struck by a train, causing the whole vehicle to violently shake.

After that, Xiao Yifeng showed his ghost-like agility, his hands striking repeatedly, and the remaining seven or eight men, who couldn’t even get close to him, were flung away, each one seriously injured.

This was because Xiao Yifeng, mindful that this was China, had not struck to kill; otherwise, these men would have met Yama by now.

Seeing this, the faces of Brother Dao and Biaozi grew incredibly ugly.

Clutching a sharp knife, Biaozi charged toward Xiao Yifeng.

In three steps, Biaozi appeared in front of Xiao Yifeng and slashed at him with a downward chop, the blade cutting down with great force and a whistling wind.

Xiao Yifeng sidestepped, his body shifting away, while Biaozi’s knife struck the ground, throwing up a shower of sparks.

“Ha!”

Biaozi roared again, lifting the knife and swinging it in a turning motion, aiming a vicious chop at Xiao Yifeng’s waist.

“Your knife skills are too poor,” Xiao Yifeng said calmly, flicking his finger at the incoming blade’s edge.

With a clang, a sharp and piercing sound rang out, the blade vibrating intensely.

Biaozi felt a force surge through, numbing his hands, almost causing him to lose his grip on the knife.
