On the side, Zhou Qian asked curiously, “Sister Zinuo, why isn’t Sister Zhao Han leading the team?”

“She’s tied up, so the task has fallen on my head.

Also, Zhou Qian, you don’t need to beat around the bush with me, what do you want to do?”

Lin Zinuo said with a smile as she looked at Zhou Qian.

“Hehe, our group’s weapons are quite outdated too.

How about taking us along?

Let us get some weapons too?”

Zhou Qian asked, full of expectation.

“Taking you alone might be okay, but taking your whole group is not possible.

The Legion Leader hasn’t left many weapons at that base, and most of them are already assigned.”

“Okay then, how many people are we taking this time, Sister?”

“About sixty people, including five mecha reserves, ten tank driver reserves, and two armed helicopter pilot reserves.

The rest are mostly life players, responsible for driving and transporting supplies.”

Lin Zinuo told Zhou Qian.

“Are there mechas?”

Zhou Qian was also a bit surprised.

“Yeah, the most expensive of the lot is those mechas.

Sister Zhao Han had to swallow her pride for them.”

Lin Zinuo said helplessly.

Su Mo was also somewhat tempted upon hearing this, but he didn’t say anything.

Even though he liked them, they weren’t assigned to him; he’d get his own some other time.

“Sister Zinuo, given our good relationship, shouldn’t you get me one too?”

Zhou Qian asked cheerily.

“Wait until you can pass the mecha training, and then we’ll talk.

Lin Zinuo lifted her bracelet, checked the time, and estimated that everyone should almost be arriving.

Soon, the four of them arrived at the west side of the camp, where five green trucks were parked with teams sitting on them.

Lin Zinuo turned to Su Mo and asked, “Can you drive?

You can even drive a tank; a truck is nothing for you.

Come on and drive.”

“Alright.”

Su Mo followed Lin Zinuo into the cabin of the same green truck.

“Follow the route I point out to you, for now, just drive out of the camp and head towards the west highway.”

Lin Zinuo raised her hand to point out the direction to Su Mo.

Su Mo started the vehicle and led the way, while Lin Zinuo leaned back in her chair, massaged her own shoulders, and sighed.

“Su Mo, let me ask you something, and you tell me truthfully.”

“What is it?”

Su Mo kept his focus on driving as he responded.

“The Evil Teeth Beast incident, was it really not intentional?

And that Wuji Guild member, was he really just a passerby?”

Lin Zinuo asked Su Mo with a relaxed expression.

“It wasn’t intentional, but that Sun Duoxiang, he was not a passerby.”

Su Mo didn’t hide anything, since the incident was already in the past.

That guy was sly and slippery, didn’t seem like a good egg at all, and he turned around and sold you out just like that.

You really are something, still helping him clear his name.

Lin Zinuo grew more intrigued with Su Mo.

A normal person would have been eager to drag others down with them in such a situation.

But this kid, he was sold out and yet still took the blame for others.

“It was indeed me who initiated it, and I don’t think he did anything wrong.”

Su Mo explained earnestly.

Lin Zinuo touched her forehead, sighed helplessly, and was at a loss for words with him.

Meanwhile, the convoy advanced in an orderly manner on the desolate highway, and soon they entered into the midst of the mountains.

They were now heading to a military base located more than three hundred kilometers away from Dawn City, nestled in the forested hills.

Although the road along the way was winding and meandering, fortunately, it was all paved with concrete, and if nothing unexpected happened, they should be able to arrive in a little over five hours.

Lin Zinuo was wearing black stockings, her slender legs crossed in front of the passenger seat, wearing an earphone in one ear, humming a tune with her eyes closed in relaxed contentment.

Her mood was pretty good at the moment; this mission was actually not too difficult, and it was a plum job to boot.

Unfortunately, before Lin Zinuo could enjoy her peace for long, Su Mo suddenly slammed on the brakes, and the car slowly came to a stop.

“What happened?”

“There’s some sort of obstruction on the road ahead; we can’t get through.”

Su Mo unbuckled her seatbelt, then opened the door and jumped out of the car.

Lin Zinuo quickly followed to see what was going on.

Soon the entire convoy came to a halt.

Su Mo and others walked up to the front of the road, only to see some rubble and collapsed earth blocking the way.

“Ah, bad luck.”

Zhou Qian sighed and complained.

Lin Zinuo turned to a lifestyle player and said, “Qin Wang, take some people and clear this up.”

“Sister Zinuo, that’s not really a problem.

It’s just that it’s going to take some time.

These pieces of rubble and earth, it’ll take at least an hour to clear away.”

Qin Wang estimated, mainly because they didn’t have any handy tools; otherwise, it wouldn’t even take twenty minutes to be done with it.

“No worries, you guys start clearing.

Li Han, you take a few people and keep watch around the area, everyone else rest in place.”

Lin Zinuo wasn’t too concerned; after all, they had plenty of time.

A middle-aged man with a determined expression took the order.

Zhou Qian, rubbing her head hair, said to Zinuo with a smile, “Sister Zinuo, since it’s going to take more than an hour to clear the road, see that clean little stream over there?

How about we go and cook some food there?

It’ll be like a picnic.”

“Sure.”

Lin Zinuo stretched lazily.

“Great, let’s get moving, girls.”

Zhou Qian shouted excitedly.

The scenery in this area was quite nice, and a picnic here wasn’t much different from reality.

So, Zhou Qian, leading a group of girls with their backpacks, happily ran towards the stream.

Zhou Qian, the first to reach the stream, pulled out a portable water quality detector from her backpack, dipped it into the stream, and, seeing the tested values, waved her hands happily and shouted, “Come on over, this stream water is not too polluted!”

Everyone jumped into the stream and started frolicking and washing up.

Su Mo stood by the side of the highway, devoid of any desire to join in, perhaps influenced by the last encounter with the Evil Teeth Beast.

It was less than fifteen minutes before Zhou Qian and her group, tired from playing, started a fire, set up a small pot, and added some compressed dried meat.

With a bit of seasoning added in, they began cooking meat soup.

Of course, just to be safe, even though the stream water hadn’t exceeded normal levels, they prudently used bottle water for cooking.

The fragrant smell of meat soon wafted everywhere.

A girls’ guild might be slightly less proficient in combat, but when it came to secondary professions, they were beyond reproach.

“It smells amazing!”

Zhou Qian, holding a spoon, gestured to her sisters beside her.

A group of girls laughed and played with each other.
