Louis Cox was startled by her lowering gaze scrutiny.

Mia Ginger sat up with a jolt, grumbling, "What are you doing, appearing behind people without a sound? You're going to scare someone to death."

Louis Cox smiled oddly and sat beside her.

He looked down without speaking.

Staring at his toes.

Mia Ginger glanced at him, took out the hat from her backpack, and handed it to him, "I almost forgot; I bought this for you last time."

Louis Cox took the hat and looked at it back and forth, then suddenly flung it onto the lawn behind.

"What's wrong with you!"

Mia Ginger was taken aback, stood up.

Louis Cox looked at her coldly and laughed mockingly with the corner of his eyes.

"You're crazy!"

Mia Ginger frowned, kicked him, walked a few steps to pick up the hat, stuffed it back into the bag, and said while stuffing, "Forget it if you don't want it; don't think of wanting it again."

Louis Cox suddenly snatched her backpack.

Reached inside, grabbed something out.

He took a steady look at it, then shoved it back, and stared at her intensely, gritting his teeth, "What are you up to? Mia Ginger, tell me, why did you see a gynecologist?"

Mia Ginger snatched back her backpack and sat on the bench.

Mia Ginger looked at him steadily, didn't utter a sound.

She clutched her backpack and got up to leave.

Suddenly, Louis Cox hugged her tightly from behind.

"Can we not go back to that house?" Louis Cox rested his chin in the crook of her shoulder and said softly, "I'm begging you, let's not go back; just thinking about it makes me feel terrible."

"That's your problem." Mia Ginger's voice was calm, "I know what I'm doing."

Louis Cox's breathing grew heavier.

Mia Ginger broke free and hurried out.

Louis Cox chased after her.

Beside the third-floor railing.

Koa Jackson watched them leave one after the other, fingers in his pockets twiddling.

"Dr. Jackson."

A passing relative of a patient looked over with interest and smiled warmly, "I thought I was mistaken. Are you doing rounds?"

"Just taking a stroll." Koa Jackson turned around.

"Could you have a look at my son? He said his head hurt a bit this morning, and I was planning to come find you this afternoon."

"Sure, I'll take a look."

Koa Jackson nodded, his expression calm as water.
