Chapter 164: 69. Ramasitia Fluid SwordFacing the sea breeze, Lingna bounded ahead with youthful energy. Just like the first time they met, she carried a large bag on her back; unlike that first crude, dark bag, however, this one was transparent. Fisher could not see what was inside.

At this moment, reassessing the young girl before him, Fisher noticed that her previously visible crab appendages had vanished without a trace. She now resembled an endearing, delicate human little girl, with soft little hands and feet, wearing a peculiar garment of unknown fabric.

He squatted down to take a closer look at her arms, which now seemed no different from a human’s, her webbing fingers included, all gone.

"Humph, I’ve received a blessing from Lord Ramasitia. But it’s only the outside that has changed; if I get hurt, I’ll revert to my original form."

When she heard Fisher’s words, she placed her hands on her hips, stuck her chest out, and raised her head in a proud posture that made Fisher think the blessing was her own doing instead of Lord Ramasitia’s.

Fisher suddenly thought of Moli, a member of the Whale-man Species, who could transform into a human in the presence of others—probably also due to Lord Ramasitia’s blessing.

As she spoke, she shook out some items from inside—Fisher briefly scanned them and recognized human crafts like pocket watches, cigarette cases, and necklaces, all typical of urban legends and not particularly valuable among young people.

Seeing Fisher’s scrutinizing gaze, Lingna patted her chest and confidently said,

"I didn’t steal anything this time, I found all my goods in the Sea Floor, and they were voluntarily traded by humans, so you can’t ask for them back."

She pouted and, after showing them, began stuffing the items back into her bag as if they were treasures.

"Hehe, when I show these things to my friends back home, they’ll be so jealous. They’ve never seen real human items; they’ll be dying of envy."

Fisher silently smiled and looking at her small frame, he asked,

"So, why did you come all this way to the continent? Did you come alone?"

The question brought up some distress for her.

Lingna touched her head with a vexed expression and then explained,

"I got caught the last time I sneaked out by my dad. He had some business in the human city and was worried that I’d sneak out the moment he left, so he brought me along. I sneaked out just now, too. My dad and the others are looking for Lord Royal from the Sea Trench that’s arrived on land, but they haven’t made contact yet..."

"The Royal Family? That demi-human group living in the Sea Trench?"

Fisher heard the familiar term again, and it reminded him of Lingna’s previous descriptions of the royal family.

He immediately thought of Moli, who was from the Whale-man Species, a race mentioned in the Doomsday Prophecy. Could the Whale-man Species be the royal family Lingna was referring to?

"Are you talking about the Whale-man when you mention the Royal Family?"

After contemplating Fisher’s question, Lingna frowned and shook her head.

"What treasures could you possibly have?"

"Humph, I’ve brought a lot of things from my dad. He doesn’t use these things anymore, so he gave them to me, and among them are many treasures! Like Vomiting Pearl Balls, Balabear bones, and Electric Electric Seahorses..."

As she spoke, she shook items from the shimmering transparent bag. The bag was like a glowing stream of water, and as she moved, she pulled item after item out.

There were black pearls that emitted an ominous aura; there was a skull of an unknown species; an odd seahorse that shimmered with electric arcs and could float in the air...

There were many things, but none of them seemed very significant. After all, she was just an eight-year-old child; it’s likely her father wouldn’t dare give her anything too valuable.

While Fisher was in thought and Lingna was examining the Earth Marrow, a deep, beast-like bellow suddenly came from the distance in the sky.

Fisher looked up and saw through the moonlit clouds a deep red flying vessel, engraved with a giant serpent’s head, slowly making its way toward Saint Nali amidst roars.

The serpent is a traditional belief of the Schwali and also a symbol of their royal family. It is said that Schwali’s first Emperor killed a white snake hiding underground with his battle-axe, ascended the supreme throne bathed in snake blood, and thus the snake became their symbol of power for generations.

And the flying vessel was also Schwali’s most famous product; their vessels were both large and safe, truly looking like terrifying giant beasts dominating the sky from afar.
