Chapter 217 - Playing Cards

Ye Fan couldn’t help but look at Luo Xinling.

Luo’s pretty face blushed, and she gave Ye Fan a flirtatious smile.

Ye Fan chuckled and turned to get ready to play cards.

“What game are we playing, and whose turn is it?” Ye Fan asked Tan Shiyun, Xu Yanshui, and Xie Hongliang.

“Thirteen cards.

It’s my turn,” Xie Hongliang giggled, as she played the Jack of Spades.

Next, it was Ye Fan’s turn.

Ye Fan checked his cards and played the Ace of Diamonds.

As the game had been going on for several rounds and most of the cards were played, Xu Yanshui won.

She excitedly exclaimed, “Count the cards!

Drink!”

Luo Xinling, who had been sticking close to Ye Fan, explained, “If you lose, you have to drink, and the number of cards you lost decides how much you drink.”

“Oh,” Ye Fan acknowledged, counted the cards he had left — five, and asked, “How much do I have to drink for losing five cards?”

“Giggle, a third of a glass!” Xu Yanshui interjected playfully, “But since you’re a man, Ye, you can’t just drink a third.

You must drink a full glass!”

“Yes, yes, a full glass,” Tan Shiyun and Xie Hongliang chorused teasingly.

Ye Fan laughed heartily.

“Haha, no problem!” Then he turned to Luo Xinling, “Xinling, fetch me some wine.”

Luo Xinling immediately crawled to the bedside to get a glass for Ye Fan.

Ye Fan downed a glass of red wine and continued playing.

However, at this point, Tan Shiyun coquettishly said, “Ye, you’re biased!

You only help Xinling with her cards, not me.

You should also help me.”

Xu Yanshui and Xie Hongliang also chimed in with similar protests.

Ye Fan could only say, “Then I’ll help each of you in turn, how about that?”

The four women began to ponder, when Luo Xinling suddenly exclaimed excitedly, “I’ve got it!”

“What should we play?” the others asked.

Luo Xinling smiled, “When I picked up the deck earlier, I saw another set of ‘Three Kingdoms Kill’ cards.

It’s perfect for five players.”

“Great, ‘Three Kingdoms Kill’ sounds much more fun,” Tan Shiyun and the others quickly agreed.

Ye Fan said, “Hehe, I don’t mean to dampen the mood, but I don’t know how to play ‘Three Kingdoms Kill.'”

“Giggle, ‘Three Kingdoms Kill’ is a card game, very simple, you learn it as soon as you play, even kids can play it,” Luo Xinling told Ye Fan.

“I’ll teach you.”

Ye Fan nodded.

Zhao Hongliang then jumped out of bed and ran to the living room to fetch a deck of Three Kingdoms Kill cards.

After unwrapping the Three Kingdoms Kill cards, Luo Xinling and the other three women began eagerly teaching Ye Fan the rules of the game.

Luo Xinling was right, Ye Fan quickly understood the rules of Three Kingdoms Kill.

The only difficulty was remembering the abilities of the numerous generals all at once.

Ye Fan memorized the abilities of generals commonly used as the sovereign, such as Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Guan Yu, Xia Houdun, and then began to officially play.

Originally, before Ye Fan joined the army, the game of Three Kingdoms Kill hadn’t yet started to spread.

After playing the first round, Ye Fan drew the sovereign and, as it was his first time playing, he quickly lost.

However, Ye Fan started to like “Three Kingdoms Kill” a bit, finding it quite interesting, much better than playing poker.

In the second round, Ye Fan was a rebel, and in collaboration with Xu Yanshui, he finally won a round.

In the third round, Ye Fan was the spy, and having gotten familiar with the rules and the cards, he won successfully.

In each round that followed, Ye Fan consistently ended up on the winning side, utterly dominating with his intelligence, so much so that he got thirsty and drank even though he was winning.

Around eight o’clock the next morning, Ye Fan woke up, feeling his body pressed down by two soft figures, and instinctively pushed them away.

Upon opening his eyes and sitting up, he saw Luo Xinling and the other three sprawling sweetly asleep on the luxurious bed.

Ye Fan rubbed his temples and brought himself out of the grogginess, then climbed out of the bed.

Looking at the slumbering forms of Luo Xinling, Tan Shiyun, and the other two women sprawled across the bed, Ye Fan couldn’t help but sarcastically shake his head.

But soon, he turned off the TV because Robert Laurenson called.

If they insist on not delisting, we can only force them to continuously suspend trading.”

After hanging up, Ye Fan called Emir Ihsan Abdul Wadud, telling him that he would borrow one and a half billion US dollars within three weeks.
