Chapter 27 Sudden Change in Situation

Despite the vast disparity in strength between them, Mu Hanyan’s sword-holding hand remained steady, not trembling in the slightest, her entire mental state fused into that one sword.

Mu Hanyan fell to the ground, blood spurting violently, instantly staining her robe red.

"I did not expect that the useless Young Master of the Mu Family from Heishi City was actually keeping his skills hidden. It seems my trip here was not in vain," the Black-clothed Man said with a hoarse voice as he turned around.

"Who are you? Who sent you?" Mu Hanyan struggled to rise, barely managing to lift her chest before collapsing powerlessly.

Blood dripped from the corner of her mouth; her face turned as pale as paper, and the divine light in her eyes dispersed. That palm strike had almost shattered all her internal organs. The fact that she was still alive and able to ask this question seemed unbelievable to her.

"Does that question matter? You’re about to die anyway. Let me hasten your end," the Black-clothed Man said coldly, ignoring her query, his eyes detached as he thrust his sword towards her heart.

Indeed, he was intent on killing; he wouldn’t even spare someone who was clearly doomed. Mu Hanyan thought mockingly, a flash of clarity in her eyes.

Having already died once, Mu Hanyan was not willing to die again in such an unclear and unfair way, not believing she could be reborn a second time.

Her hand still tightly gripped the longsword, stabbing towards her opponent with the last bit of her strength.

As long as she still breathed, she would never give up. Even if it meant perishing together, she would fight to the bitter end!

A merciless, mocking cold smile appeared in the Black-clothed Man’s eyes. Given the vast difference between their strengths, especially since Mu Hanyan was gravely injured, this sword strike seemed so feeble to him, hardly stronger than that of a five or six-year-old child.
