Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

The last thing he remembers as a human is the flicker of a classroom projector and the taste of cheap instant coffee. The next thing is hunger—raw, overwhelming—inside a fragile mosquito body no bigger than a grain of rice.

A dead-end student opens his eyes on Earth again, but this time as a larva in a roadside puddle. No thumbs. No voice. Nothing but instinct and a burning need for payback. Every drop of blood he steals is a lesson. Every brush with death—a swatting palm, a curling tongue of a frog, a cloud of pesticide—is another exam he refuses to fail.

He mutates. He survives. He changes.

From gutter puddles to storm clouds, from city lights to the dark above the atmosphere, he claws his way up the food chain. Mouthparts harden into a weapon that can pierce steel hulls and planetary crust. Wings thicken, beating against vacuum as his once-puny body stretches to eclipse starships. The universe calls things like him “cosmic disaster organisms”. He still thinks of himself as a guy who used to cram for tests at 3 a.m.

Now he drinks not from wrists and ankles, but from the molten hearts of planets. Civilizations look up in terror as a titanic, chittering silhouette blots out their suns, laughing at their lasers and their fragile pride.

They called him disgusting when he was small enough to crush with a slap. They start calling him “Lord” only when his shadow is big enough to flatten their worlds.
