Chapter 462 - Cold Embrace (Part 5)
Chapter 462 of "My Notoriety Spreads Throughout the World" introduces new challenges: "Donât look at me like a fool. Let me introduce myself: Iâm Sirius Starfall. Tsk,... Keep following!
"Donât look at me like a fool. Let me introduce myself: Iâm Sirius Starfall. Tsk, why am I even telling you natives this."The man claiming to be Sirius clicked his tongue.
He looked fearlessly at Belisa who sat upright.
"You can try to kill me, but I can assure you, no matter how many times you kill me, I will stand before you unharmed again, because the âAnger Witchâ will not let me die so easily."
"âAngerâ Witch?"
Sevia surveyed her surroundings and found that people showed no particular reaction to the manâs self-introduction, only displaying some confusion.
She quickly understood.
Knowledge carries pollution; aside from herself, everyone in this room probably heard âAnger Witchâ as mere gibberish because they couldnât comprehend such âknowledgeâ.
This also explained why this young man was recklessly self-introducing.
She searched through her consciousness but found no knowledge related to the âAnger Witchâ.
However, this Anger Bishop, apart from his bizarre, immortal body and mind that could withstand knowledge pollution, gave her the impression of an ordinary person.
"What is your purpose here?"
Belisaâs authoritative voice echoed above.
"How many times do I have to repeat this? Do you Titans have sheep dung in your heads?" Siriusâs face twisted.
"This Kingdom is about to perish. Only we can save it now. We need to see the King here, understand!?"
"How can I trust you?" Belisa asked.
This demigod wasnât angered by the manâs insult; her words were filled with divine indifference, like a machine devoid of emotion.
"Trust? On what basis do you think your Kingdom has grown to this scale in two hundred years? We brought you natives âMiraclesâ!"
"Itâs because the âParasite Miracleâ protected this Kingdom from the ravages of other âMiraclesâ, and now you intend to destroy this âMiracleâ. All disasters erupting within the Kingdom are your own fault!"
Apart from Sevia, the people in the room were clueless, with half of the young manâs statements containing knowledge they couldnât comprehend. Yet, judging by his indignant look, he didnât appear to be lying.
"Do you mean it was all brought by you?" Belisaâs eyes showed sharp coldness.
Sirius, feeling uneasy under her gaze, wanted to kneel in worship. The wizards around him trembled even more.
On second thought, considering his own undying nature, Siriusâs expression became calm, his tone rising:
"Yes, everything you have was brought by us."
"You should worship us as gods. It was us who brought you food, clothing, and water!"
"A flock of blessed lambs, daring to neglect their Savior, how absurd?"
"Arrogant fool, Iâll cut you down!" someone from behind drew a knife forward, stopped by Atula.
"Donât trust their one-sided words!" someone shouted from the Guard Team.
"General, why waste breath on these people? We are at the most critical stage of fighting the plague; we canât let these strangers ruin our efforts!"
"To save this Kingdom, people can only rely on themselves!"
Belisa pondered silently.
"Leave it to me, General!" someone requested, pointing at Sirius and his men.
"He claims immortality; Iâll chop him into pieces. Iâll chop him once each time he revives and see how many weird tricks he can pull!"
"Chop him to pieces!"
"Lock him in the Iron Maiden, seal the coffin and immerse it in an oil pot!"
"Eek!" upon hearing the escalating words, the previously fearless Siriusâs expression changed, stepping back and cursing these primitives for their barbarism.
Right at that moment, an angry voice sounded from not far away.
"Belisa!"
Everyone present was shocked and turned their gaze to the source of the voice.
They saw an old King, cloaked and crowned, slowly emerging under the protection of soldiers. Upon seeing that face, the female generalâs expression showed significant wavering for the first time, standing up respectfully to greet him.
"Your Majesty."
Something unexpected happened; the King, who was supposed to be under house arrest, appeared here openly.
"Stand down, all of you!" the King commanded, wielding the Scepter, voice booming.
The soldiers remained unmoved, all looking towards General Belisa at the center.
Seeing this, the King was so agitated his whole body trembled.
"Do my decrees not hold more weight than her orders?"
"Will you not stand down? Are you planning a rebellion?" At this point, a young man beside the King questioned loudly.
He was called Meius, the captain of the Guard Team personally appointed by Frieza.
He looked around arrogantly, only lowering his head guiltily when meeting the silent eyes under a helmet.
"Meius, you damn scoundrel, why betray?"
"Clearly, General Belisa trusted you, entrusting you with such an important task as guarding the palace, why betray the General?"
"Betray? What a joke!" Meius laughed, "Who exactly betrayed this Kingdom? Get it straight, it was this Titan woman who launched a coup, betraying her King. Iâm merely helping the King reclaim his power."
"Sheâs a raving tyrant. Do you intend to watch this Kingdom perish in her hands?"
"Kill him!" someone shouted fiercely.
The enraged soldiers charged forward, and amid the young manâs horrified gaze, countless spears pierced his chest.
Thus, this young man, before enjoying the wealth and glory promised by the King, was killed in furious wrath.
The King was evidently terrified by this scene, at a loss before the red-eyed soldiers, his personal guards surrounded.
"What are you planning? Put down your weapons. I am your King!"
He pointed at Belisaâs nose, his voice trembling.
"Belisa, I trusted you so much, entrusting both military and political power to you, believing you could make this country better, do you intend to commit regicide now?"
"Why hesitate, General? Give the order, and no one leaves here today!"
Sevia silently stepped back.
Was she lucky or unlucky to stumble upon a palace coup?
Naturally, no one here could threaten her; she just didnât want to use the power of the âStarry Singerâ lightly.
Every second felt like a century passing.
"Constantine."
Belisa made her decision, coldly uttering the Kingâs name. She took the sword symbolizing power handed by the Guard, amidst hopeful gazes, approached slowly under the Kingâs frightened eyes, and then... raised her sword.
Loyally kneeling, offering the sharp sword in her hand before the King.
"Your Majesty, youâve been frightened."
