As I stretched my arms, a small grin tugged at my lips. "It’s been a while since I was here."

At my side, Yuri nodded but said nothing, her usual composed demeanor unchanged. We had just returned to the DxD world, stepping into the familiar comfort of my apartment. The atmosphere was the same as I remembered—warm, quiet, and lived-in.

I stepped out of my room and made my way to the kitchen, expecting to find Asia eating breakfast. Since it was morning in this world, that seemed likely. When I left for the Demon Slayer world, I had given this apartment to Asia since she didn’t have a place to call her own.

But as I entered the dining hall, I paused, blinking in mild surprise. It wasn’t just Asia.

Seated at the table were Akeno, Rias, Issey, and Koneko, all enjoying breakfast together. Judging by their relaxed expressions and the casual flow of conversation, it seemed like this had become a regular occurrence.

Before I could say anything, the first to react was Issey.

"Alex!" she called out, her voice filled with excitement.

The next moment, she was already on her feet, rushing toward me without hesitation. Her long brown hair swayed behind her as she practically threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"You’re back!" she exclaimed, pressing herself against me.

I chuckled, catching her effortlessly. "Yeah, I’m back."

Her warmth, her scent, even the familiar way she clung to me—it all reminded me of how long I had been gone. She pulled back just enough to look into my eyes, her lips curling into a playful pout.

"You didn’t even tell us you were coming back," she huffed. "Do you have any idea how much we missed you?"

From the table, Rias sighed but smiled. "Welcome back, Alex."

Akeno smirked, setting down her cup of tea. "Ara~ I was wondering when you’d return. You really do love making us wait, don’t you?"

Asia, seated beside Rias, smiled brightly. "It’s good to see you again, Alex."

Koneko, as usual, didn’t react too strongly. She simply continued eating, though I didn’t miss the slight twitch of her ears—her way of acknowledging my presence.

Meanwhile, Yuri walked past the commotion without sparing anyone a glance, heading straight for the sink where a few dirty dishes were left. She silently rolled up her sleeves and began washing them, completely unbothered by everything happening behind her.

Issey finally let go of me, though not before giving me a quick peck on the cheek. "You’re not leaving again soon, are you?"

I shook my head. "Not immediately. I’ve got some things to take care of here first."

Hearing that, the atmosphere lightened, and I made my way to the table, taking an empty seat.

Akeno poured me a cup of tea. "So, tell us, how was your little adventure?"

I took a sip before answering. "Eventful. I met some interesting people, settled a few matters, and brought back some valuable knowledge."

Rias leaned forward slightly, her crimson hair cascading over her shoulder. "And you didn’t run into any trouble?"

I smirked. "Nothing I couldn’t handle."

Issey plopped down next to me, resting her chin in her palm. "Figures. You always come back like you just went on a casual stroll instead of whatever crazy stuff you were actually doing."

Asia, always the gentle one, smiled softly. "But you’re safe, and that’s what matters."

I glanced toward Yuri, who was still focused on the dishes, her back to the rest of us. "You don’t have to do that, you know."

"I don’t mind," she replied flatly, scrubbing a plate. "It was left here, so I might as well clean it."

Rias shook her head with amusement. "She’s still as disciplined as ever."

"Someone has to be," Yuri said, drying the dish before setting it aside.

I turned my attention back to the table. "So, is this a daily thing? You all having breakfast here?"

Akeno chuckled. "More or less. It started with Asia, but eventually, we all just started showing up. Now it’s a habit."

"I see," I mused, looking around at them.

Issey nudged me. "You’re not mad, are you?"

I gave her a sideways glance. "Why would I be mad?"

She grinned. "Because we kind of turned your apartment into our second home."

I let out a short laugh. "I don’t mind."

Asia beamed. "It’s really nice having everyone here. It feels like a family."

That was a sentiment I could agree with. Despite everything, despite all the worlds I had visited and the power I had gained, moments like this were rare and precious.

I leaned back in my chair, taking in the sight of my lovers chatting, teasing, and laughing together, and I started telling my adventure in another world.

Yeah, this wasn’t so bad.
