"But," her tone slightly paused, her voice carrying a hint of suppressed choke, "I never lied before either."

Having been back to the Ginger family for over a month, it was the first time Aiden Jiang saw her with eyes teary like this.

But oddly enough, the tears never fell, and upon a closer look, they vanished suddenly, leaving only a pair of clearly defiant eyes.

Aiden Jiang suddenly thought of the first two years of her life.

A tiny, soft lump, fair and very delicate, wailing for a long time after falling even slightly while learning to walk.

His own daughter, who had endured seventeen years he couldn't imagine.

Aiden Jiang felt a block in his chest, seeing her smile, spoke softly, "Your mom's just very happy, she couldn't believe it, dad believes in you."

His gaze was gentle and inclusive, Mia Ginger quickly lowered her head, "Thank you, dad. I'll go to my room to get the acceptance letter for you."

As her voice fell, she quickly got up and went upstairs.

Aiden Jiang's gaze followed her all the way, noticing her thin shoulders slightly tremble on the stairs, feeling even more compassion, looked sternly at Charlotte Chester.

Charlotte Chester argued, "How could she possibly get into Cloud Capital University?"

"Why can't she get into Cloud Capital University?" Aiden Jiang's face grew even uglier, "Why do you keep picking on her as soon as you get home?"

"She received the acceptance letter the day before yesterday, how could it be that fast?" Charlotte Chester's voice softened, "And she didn't tell us after receiving the acceptance letter, does she even consider me her mother?"

"With your attitude?" Aiden Jiang looked her up and down, "How can the child dare to be close to you? Do you have any motherly tolerance and love?"

Aiden Jiang frowned deeply, watching her, "Charlotte, don't forget, Mia Ginger is your biological daughter."

His words carried a special meaning, Zuri Ginger, sitting nearby, turned pale, maintaining a gentle smile with difficulty, but it was very stiff.
