But as Mia Ginger lifted her gaze to look at her, the corners of her mouth were adorned with a faint smile, yet her dark, bright eyes remained serene, like a still stream.

Marianne Jackson could sense the hostility and competition in her heart.

Despite her classical and gentle appearance, Marianne felt that Mia Ginger's demeanor was akin to a wild rose, a thorny one at that.

Climbing aggressively over the ruins, ready to sprout and bloom once sunshine and rain came.

She was pure and beautiful in her looks, yet her temperament was overwhelmingly aggressive.

Marianne Jackson was momentarily dazed, her feelings extremely complex, consumed by an inexplicable jealousy and frustration. She bit her lip and faced off again, "I know this major too. Someone in our class spent over ten thousand for a month's training. Where did you get the money to enroll?"

"I didn't attend any training." Mia Ginger's response remained calm.

"You!" Marianne Jackson was momentarily choked with anger. Old Master Jackson, sitting at the head of the table, slammed the chopsticks onto the table with a "thud," sternly saying, "Enough."

"Grandpa!" Marianne Jackson felt so wronged that she almost burst into tears.

Old Master Jackson looked at her with a deep frown and said, "I see that you're not hungry, go back to your room."

How embarrassing!

Old Master Jackson felt that her unreasonable antics were tarnishing the Jackson Family's reputation, especially when faced with Mia Ginger, who remained calm and collected.

"I..." Marianne Jackson finally realized her behavior at the dinner table was excessive and couldn't say a word for a long time. Biting her lip tightly, she turned and left the dining room.

Once she left, the dining room grew even quieter. The servant quickly replaced Old Master Jackson's chopsticks. He looked around the room, his expression slightly softened, and said with a smile, "Let's eat, let's eat. Girl Mia, eat up too, don't mind her nonsense."

Mia Ginger naturally agreed, lowering her head, and quietly began eating.

She chewed softly, trying not to make any sound, sat upright, kept her arms from reaching too far for food, and didn't rummage or stir in the dish...

She strictly adhered to the dining etiquette Charlotte Chester had taught her, yet, unknowingly, she slightly exposed her eating habits.

She liked eating meat and sweets, didn't eat vegetables or fungi.

She didn't touch the seafood like fish and shrimp, which were more troublesome to eat.

Her eating speed of rice was also faster than everyone else at the table.

Overall, her eating habits were unhealthy and not nutritious, not meticulous or refined, seemingly primarily focused on filling her stomach.

Old Master Jackson glanced at her twice, a mix of pity and sigh in his deep and wise eyes. Koa Jackson ate at a slightly faster pace than usual and instructed the servant to refill Mia Ginger's rice as he did his.

Mia Ginger had just finished her rice and couldn't help but look up when she heard him speak.

Koa Jackson had already lowered his head.

It seemed that the order he gave just now was spoken casually.

Yet, it appropriately avoided her awkwardness.

After the meal, both Lydia Williams and Old Master Jackson gave her meeting gifts.

Old Master Jackson gave her a red envelope, and Lydia Williams, without a hint of displeasure from the earlier episode, smiled as she slid the specially chosen white jade bracelet onto her wrist.

The bracelet was white as jade, clear and bright, hard in texture, yet it looked as gentle as water.

Cool and smooth, clearly not an ordinary item.

Worn on her hand, it was a bit too big, making her wrist appear even more slender, as if a slight effort could break it.

Lydia Williams sighed with a smile, "I didn't expect this child to have such thin wrists, she's still too skinny. Charlotte, you must ensure she gets more nutrition."

"Of course," Charlotte Chester replied with a smile.

Around three o'clock, they all got up to say their goodbyes.

Mia Ginger had been sitting on the sofa for a while and hadn't moved much. When she got up, she felt her legs tingle and, suppressing the discomfort, followed everyone to the door.

As she was stepping down, one foot went numb and twisted.

As she fell, she reflexively grabbed Charlotte Chester's arm, startling the latter and causing them to cry out softly.

"What happened?" Aiden Jiang, who was talking to Old Master Jackson, turned his head to ask.

"Twisted her foot," Charlotte Chester looked down and then laughed in a mix of exasperation, "this child, were your feet numb from sitting too long, why didn't you say something?"

"I can walk, it doesn't hurt."

Just as Mia Ginger finished speaking, Old Master Jackson frowned, "It's a long way to the garage and there are quite a few steps," he turned to Aiden Jiang, "should we have the driver bring the car around?"

"I'll have someone guide the driver," Zane Jackson quickly added, and a gentle, friendly voice echoed in their ears, "Grandfather."

The newcomer addressed Old Master Jackson and then greeted everyone, finally looking at Mia Ginger with a slight smile, "This must be Mia Ginger."

Mia Ginger looked at her, and the newcomer introduced herself, "Just call me Sister Lilian."
