"She did it for me."

"W-what do you mean?"

"Vespera and Alice, my younger sister, were the only two who treated me like a human being. Vespera always respected my choices and freedom; she might've even been happy when I moved away from home because she knew that I was suffering there.

Vespera must've already known weeks ago that I planned to star in today's filming, yet made no move to interject, leaving the decision up to me. It's my life, after all. However, my decision would've enraged my father, brothers, and elder sister. Vespera disowned me to save me from having to face their wrath, knowing full well that they would be out to get revenge for sullying their prestigious name and silence me for eternity."

"This is just too much for me..." Nyx stated. Her brain was officially fried.

"Yeah. I did call Kaiden our prince a few times as a jest, but to think that he was the modern-day equivalent of a prince all along..." Luna voiced her thoughts with pure disbelief.

"Are you fine, Kai? Let me know if I can do anything to cheer you up. Anything," Aria said with worried eyes while caressing his hand supportively.

"I'm fine. Even if I knew for certain that this was going to be the result of my actions, I would've done the same if I were to be returned in time. I got to meet you three lovely girls, and I'm as happy as I've ever been. The Ashborn family name did nothing for me.

"It might be selfish of me to say, but I'm also delighted with your decision, Kaiden," Nyx spoke up after a short while.

"I have to agree with Miss Mommy Milkers over here. You quite likely saved all of us today. At the very least, our mental health for sure." Luna agreed.

Aria stood from her seat and rushed over to him, then jumped into his embrace. "They are right! Truly, thank you!"

"There's no need to thank me for anything."

"Shut up, you dummy! Take this. Say aaa..." Aria shut him up, comfortably seated herself on his lap, grabbed a nigiri, and lifted it to his mouth.

"They kidnap human women and breed them en masse," Luna informed the pink girl, who often found herself underprepared to understand her generation's internet knowledge and references.

"Oh. Never mind then." Kaiden couldn't help but laugh inwardly at the plump beauty's adorable antics. She seemed by far the wildest out of the trio just based on appearances, but she was often the tamest. Her being unable to grasp most Gen Z references was also very cute in his eyes.

"Stupid bitches...!" The petite beauty growled.

"Girls," Kaiden began, drawing their attention to him. It was time to turn serious. "You might remember the text I sent this morning. I have big plans for the future, and I want all three of you to be part of it."

"It feels like you're asking us to become your lovers!" Aria giggled cutely.

"You could say that," Kaiden nodded, causing three gasps to sound from three different lips.

"That's a bit..." Aria gasped with shock. "Too much too soon. I do respect the ambitiousness, though," Luna finished for the silver-haired beauty.

Polygamy was frowned upon in the modern world, at least the western part of it, so it was hard for any 21st-century woman to accept being part of a harem. It made them feel somewhat lesser, as if they weren't good enough to satisfy their man by themselves. Sharing also often felt plain wrong and was hard on their sensitive hearts.

Nyx seemed to harbor different thoughts. "After having our videos spread over the net, it would be difficult to find a good man, I would say. You, as another pornstar, might be my best husband candidate. Even if I find a guy who says he doesn't mind, the stigma would always be there."

His serious tone made all of them understand the severity of the situation.

"You can trust me." Luna was the first to speak up as she looked deep into his eyes.

"I would never betray your trust, Kai!" Aria followed up.

"I will take your secret to the grave with me," Nyx decreed.

After staring at each girl for a few seconds, he nodded, happy with the trustworthy eyes he was seeing.

"Give me your phones and any other electronics you have on you. Give me your bags as well while you're at it."

They found his instructions strange but ended up listening since his attitude made them all curious.

Kaiden stood and brought everything to the reception, where he asked they be safeguarded for a bit, then went back. Now, there was no way to listen in on them through the gadgets.

If Vespera had a way even now, then he couldn't do much, but if Kaiden were to be forced to tell his secret to someone outside this room, his choice would be her, so he didn't mind all too much. Vespera was not his enemy and never would be.

"About a month ago, I broke my neck." Kaiden dove straight into the nitty-gritty of his story.

"?" Questioning glances welcomed his statement.

"I should be dead, yet I'm not. The reason for that is simple: a strange system had invaded my soul and resurrected me. I don't know how or why, but what matters is that it happened."

"Kaiden..." Luna began voicing her distaste for his unfunny jokes, but then a screen suddenly emerged in front of her. A blue, transparent screen.
