Chapter 88

Aria collected her thoughts in time to aim her wand at the slightly bigger beast, the one that was level 2, and she intoned, "!" Her spell immediately erupted from the edge of her wand and shot towards the beast. It was slightly slower than David’s Arcane Bolt, but its destructive potential seemed to be a lot higher.

The shimmering white projectile followed a crescent shape. At first, it seemed the spell would miss its target due to the curve, but the projectile returned in time to hit the monster on its side. The stag monster howled in pain while staggering back. Blood quickly began pouring from its ugly wound.

The other stag ignored its ally’s suffering and continued its charge relentlessly. "You’re mine!" Nyx decreed with a sadistic smile just before she moved her dagger slightly lower in the air and aimed it at the giant stag’s chest.

This monster was not a complete brute like the razor warthog. It elegantly jumped to the side once a clear threat to its safety was detected and continued its charge. However, Nyx’s spell was incredibly versatile. She was not deterred by the enemy’s dodge—she aimed the dagger at its lower neck and pushed with all her mental might.

The sharp blade penetrated the hide of the monster, eliciting a guttural scream. "Again..." Nyx whispered excitedly. She was deeply absorbed in her battle; this spell required tremendous focus from her to function well. With a slight lapse of focus, she would lose control, and the dagger would unceremoniously fall to the ground.

The Space Valkyrie pulled the knife from the wound and aimed again.

*Stab! Stab! Stab!*

The horrible, distinct sound of a sharp object tearing flesh and muscle apart sounded over and over again as Nyx mercilessly repeated the same action. She wasn’t just ready to shed blood—she washereto shed blood. A cruel smile erupted on her features upon observing the rapidly flowing red fountain emerge from the monster as a direct result of her handiwork.

The creature lost the ability to control its large body due to the heavy loss of blood it suffered, thus, it fell to the side helplessly. Its body couldn’t continue.

"Amazing!" Nyx bellowed with utmost satisfaction in her voice as she removed the dagger from the creature and went for the mercy kill.

"." Aria aimed her spell again and hit the level 2 stag as soon as her spell came off cooldown. It stopped its struggle.

Kaiden and Luna were flabbergasted. They didn’t expect these two to have so much firepower. Nyx’s control over her was heavily improved compared to the time she gave Kaiden a telekinetic handjob. She could move the dagger with great velocity.

Meanwhile, Aria’s spell was simply a heavy-hitting, long-ranged attack that, due to its form, had the potential to hit multiple enemies along the crescent shape the projectile took. It also had a short cooldown of 8 seconds.

"Did you see that?" Kaiden could hear someone nearby exclaim in shock. A pair of combatants were in the middle of a tactical analysis when they saw these four strangers fail to sneak up on the stags. As such, they came closer, thinking these obvious rookies might need to be saved, but it turned out that...

"They must be at least D-tier... man, fuck this shit. I wish I just stayed a normie. Being lucky enough to awaken but unlucky enough to get a useless class is worse than not awakening in the first place..." A man in his mid-twenties grumbled.

"Hey, you’re doing good, Nort. Didn’t you just hit level 5?" the woman next to him replied in a compassionate tone.

"Yeah, and it only took me what? 3 years? I should stop being a dreamer. I’m wasting my life away like this... My father’s pub could use a waiter," he sighed with dejection.

"I guess..."

"How about you come with me, Monica?"

"Sure! Let’s get married while we’re at it," the woman announced, shocking the man greatly. The pair then started walking toward the dungeon gate after tossing their weapons to the side. They were clearly junk-tier and very used at that.

Two desperate men immediately rushed to the site and started a fistfight over the ownership of the items.

Fighting inside the dungeon was prohibited by the association, but there was a workaround. These two were teammates, so the rules didn’t apply.

Kaiden couldn’t help but chuckle while shaking his head. Some of these dreamers were certified weirdos.

However, he had to agree with the engaged (?) pair about one thing: these spells were not at all F-tier worthy.

They were simple, yes, but had great potential. The only thing he could think of was that the girls only had one spell to their names, hence the F-tier rating.

But there should be a limit to that rule. If one started with only a single spell, but it was , there was no way they would be put in F-tier. The fact the girls’ power level had the same reading as him also alluded to the fact that some weird fuckery was going on.’Things will become clear with time...’Kaiden told himself while moving on.

"Well, that was disappointing as hell..." Luna grumbled as she dispelled her weapon.

"Sorry!" Aria apologized with a bow of her head.

"Don’t apologize to this woman, princess. She will become our resident kill-stealer, I can already tell," Nyx replied slyly, earning a warm smile from Luna, wordlessly conveying, ’I’ll most certainly steal your kills, bitch’.

"Sister! I finally found you!" a sudden voice shouted. A man was rushing toward them. He was wearing proper awakened armor, unlike the ones the dreamers and other rookies tended to wear in this dungeon. Even Kaiden and co stood out with their pristine new common rarity gear, but the man’s was on another level entirely.

Luna’s features immediately lost their color when she turned her head and was confronted by her elder brother’s visage. "Theo...?" she whispered with a voice full of worry, disbelief, and pain.
