Chapter 9

Kaiden began searching for one of the lesser-viewed streams with a female streamer; he settled on one that had a girl with an F-tier class, Gardener.

People could awaken with non-combat classes, but even in that category, a few were highly sought after, like the B-tier Blacksmith, while some were straight-up trash.

Gardener, of course, was a useless class. It was more or less the extreme budget version of the Druid class. It just let the girl plant slightly more effectively. Maybe it would do something at higher levels, but there were no cases of it doing anything noteworthy. He wasn't here for that, though.

From the stream's thumbnail, he could see that she had a very alluring, shapely behind, which was heavily the focus of her camera.

Awakeners could purchase specific artifact-like cameras that would follow them around and record what they were doing from behind, like an AI-driven drone that needed mana as a form of energy to function instead of electricity.

The girl smartly used the camera to create a stream that was chill to watch. She had music playing from a device next to her, and she was humming along the lyrics in a soft voice while she squatted, tending to her garden.

Kaiden brought Evangeline out of his closet, whipped his best friend out, lubed up, and went to town while eyeing the garden girl's bubbly butt.

Simply because he didn't feel like it. Sometimes, such girls could be hotter than actual actresses who were in the middle of getting ravaged, or so he thought. It all depended on his mood.

Once he was finished with his business, the time came to go to work, so he called Aria, who picked up fast. Kaiden could hear a young girl happily screaming about something in the background and Aria trying to quieten her down.

They met at Bruno's, and he introduced her. The bar owner was happy to employ Aria.

The night went down without hiccups. Aria was a timid, serene woman who liked to live in her own little world. Now that she had no potential trainees to appeal to, she retreated into her shell, preferring not to interact much at all, but she did her best at the job.

However, when Kaiden finished his shift, his phone buzzed as soon as he stepped out of the bar's doors. He got a chat message.

- Aria: Hey, I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity you've given me with this waitress job, and I also want to say that I'm really sorry for trying to poach you from Liam. Sleep well, and see you tomorrow at the gym!

Kaiden chuckled and glanced back at the bar. Through the windows, he could see Aria watching him sheepishly. She would do 6-hour shifts while he only did 4, so she stayed behind.

'Aria is this shy in reality, huh?'He waved his hand at her while smiling instead of replying in chat, and she bashfully - and very reluctantly - replicated his actions.'How cute...'Kaiden thought.

The next week passed just as such. He would wake up, cook a healthy breakfast, stretch a bit, go to the gym, cook lunch, plow Evangeline, eat dinner, and finish his day at Bruno's bar.

Kaiden got into the rhythm of his daily routine, and he had the most fun in his entire life. Ever since the apocalypse hit, he had been stressed about wanting to awaken, and the older he got, the less happy he was. Especially so when his siblings kept awakening one after the other.

Once he turned 20, the statistical age at which people had less than 0.0001% to awaken, it all worsened. He hated college, his degree was boring, and he didn't have much of a social life.

Now, however, Kaiden had goals - things to strive for. He woke up with a purpose in his mind and was as happy as ever.

He had also gotten pretty used to Liam's training regimen and no longer had muscle soreness all over his body.

Another new development was the post on the 'Untainted Holes' website, where they were looking for young male actors. Females were always welcome, as long as they were young, good-looking, and virgins, but males weren't the last time he checked. Now, things have changed.

'The system is scary! It predicted this a week ahead of time?! Maybe it gained access to some internal emails where this development was already in the works...?'Kaiden shivered for a moment while he thought about how omnipotent this system seemed right now.

He registered on the website and called the indicated number. A woman picked up. She had a very businesslike, matter-of-factly tone. She asked him to send his documents over in the form of a chat message, as well as pictures of his naked body. Supposedly, if he had an adult film portfolio, the latter part wouldn't be needed, but as it would be his first casting, he had no choice.

Sadly, he couldn't observe her reaction to seeing his erect member, but she did send a thumbs-up emoji as a reply. Whether it was to be understood as 'Wow, such a nice cock!' or 'You pass the eye test, candidate.' was difficult to ascertain through this reserved reaction.

She then notified him that the casting would happen in three weeks and that he would need to pass a final test before he got a role in a single video, after which further discussions could be held about a longer contract. If he passed the second selection test, his pay would be $300, and the shooting was expected to take between 4 to 8 hours of his time.

Not bad for a single day's work as a no-name rookie whose job would be to take a sexy girl's first time. If he did well, he would hopefully get even better offers from other studios, though another path he could follow started brewing in the back of his head, one that would lead him down a path of independence and entrepreneurship. First, however, he had to make some acquaintances and get his name out there.

And even if he were to continue being underpaid compared to the industry standard rates, he couldn't care much. After all, he was significantly more focused on progressing in the system's quests and earning new ranks. Money was good, yes, but it was only secondary when one had a scary but almighty entity inside their soul.
