Chapter 28: Chapter 28 I’m More Interested in YouLu Qing didn’t even glance at her, his gaze landed on Qin Miaomiao instead, with a slight frown.

Qin Miaomiao thought he didn’t like her being too close to him, so she quickly pushed away from him and stood quietly to the side.

Lu Qing’s hand was left empty, the soft and fragrant touch disappeared, leaving him somewhat displeased.

The woman saw Lu Qing wasn’t looking at her and couldn’t help but speak again:

"Young Master Lu....."

"Get lost."

The sharp reprimand scared her into trembling, and under his cold and intimidating gaze, she didn’t dare speak another word. Her face turned pale as she scurried away with her tail between her legs.

Qin Miaomiao, however, chuckled lightly and teased:

"That girl looked decent. Young Master Lu doesn’t fancy her?"

"Oh? Mrs. Lu, are you suggesting I should take a liking to her then?"

"That girl’s face looks a bit sharp and mean. Her fate probably isn’t very favorable."

Hearing her mention this, Lu Qing asked with interest:

"Oh? Mrs. Lu can read faces now?"

Qin Miaomiao shook her head, her face lively and animated as she spoke. After her initial awkwardness, she seemed to have finally found a way to interact with him.

She chuckled lightly and said:

"Just a little knowledge."

At that moment, a delicate voice chimed in:

"Young Master Lu."

Bai Wei walked over, pretending to be intimate as she tried to link her arm with Lu Qing’s. Lu Qing didn’t refuse, causing her heart to leap with joy as she shot a provocative glance at Qin Miaomiao.

"Young Master Lu, who is she?"

As she spoke, she deliberately brushed her ample chest against him, seemingly trying to arouse his interest.

Seeing that Lu Qing didn’t push the girl away, Qin Miaomiao surmised that their relationship was unusual. She tactfully said:

"I’ll go take a stroll. You two carry on."

With that, she turned to leave, only to be grabbed by Lu Qing, his gaze dark and tinged with displeasure.

She was being so considerate, giving him and his companion space—was that not enough?

"Mrs. Lu, where are you going?"

Before Qin Miaomiao could respond, Bai Wei let out a piercing scream:

"Mrs. Lu?"

Her shrill voice attracted the attention of several onlookers. She hurriedly covered her mouth, looking startled at Lu Qing. Seeing his expression somewhat darkened, she instinctively tried to grab his hand, only to be brushed off.

Bai Wei grew flustered, biting her lip as she appeared pitifully delicate, pouting as she spoke:

"Young Master Lu, you haven’t visited me at all lately."

Women throwing tantrums often disarmed most men—but unfortunately, she was facing Lu Qing.

Lu Qing glanced at Qin Miaomiao. Though he didn’t say a word, Qin Miaomiao instantly understood his meaning.

He wanted her to deal with this woman!

Officially speaking, she was indeed his wife, but she had barely taken up the role and was already expected to handle his mess with these women?

Forcing herself to suppress her distaste, she shot a glare back. Lu Qing’s face remained expressionless, but his gaze was icy, making Qin Miaomiao shiver involuntarily.

She suddenly recalled her promise to fulfill her duties as Mrs. Lu.

It seemed her duties included dealing with his previous flames.

After pausing for a moment, a faint smile appeared on her lips as she hooked her arm around his, her tone intimate but tinged with mockery:

"Miss Bai, do you have any objections to me being Mrs. Lu?"

Bai Wei, upon hearing this, reacted as if her tail had been stepped on, her voice rising sharply:

"You really think you’re something special, huh? Young Master Lu, stop joking with Weiwei. A woman like her, with such an ordinary face and mediocre figure, how could you possibly like her? Young Master Lu, did I do something before to upset you?"

She tried stepping closer again but was scared off by a single cold glance from him. Her obsequious smile remained plastered on her face, but it looked increasingly stiff.

Lu Qing was clearly losing patience and said indifferently:

"Mrs. Lu, handle it quickly."
