"Nice boxing skills. You should throw your punches like this..."

Ye Tianchen walked up to Ling Yuxun’s side, tightly clenched his right hand, and threw a punch straight at the punching bag. The bag flew up high into the air, startling Ling Yuxun for a moment before she realized what had happened and shouted with joy:

"Tianchen!"

"Come on, try the corn cakes I made for you!" Ling Yuxun said to Ye Tianchen with a smile.

"Corn cakes? Sure!" Ye Tianchen responded with a smile as well.

In a moment, Ye Tianchen had finished off almost a whole plate of corn cakes, leaving only two. He and Ling Yuxun sat on a large boulder together, and seeing Ling Yuxun still looking downtrodden, Ye Tianchen felt a twinge of heartache. This girl had always been so cheerful since childhood, but with the troubles now facing the Ling family, how could she happily lift her spirits?

"Have one, or I’ll finish them all!" Ye Tianchen said with a laugh, offering a corn cake to Ling Yuxun.

"I don’t want any more, you eat!" Ling Yuxun shook her head.

Ling Yuxun looked at Ye Tianchen and suddenly felt that having him by her side engulfed her with a sense of security as if there was nothing left to worry about. After all, what does a woman seek in life other than a man who can bring her a peaceful and happy existence? Ye Tianchen had grown, was smart and decisive, with unfathomable strength, yet he didn’t feel distant at all. He was still as kind and close as in their childhood. How many men like him could one possibly find?

After thinking for a moment, Ling Yuxun placed the corn cake back on the plate and hopped down from the boulder, kneeling suddenly in front of Ye Tianchen, which startled him, and he quickly jumped down to help her up.

"If you don’t promise me, I won’t stand up," Ling Yuxun said stubbornly, shaking her head.
