Watching the throwing knives flying toward her, Doruru did not try to dodge immediately.

When the knives flew at Doruru, Little Black spun around and swept his tail, blocking the knives precisely with his bony tail.

But by the time Little Black looked back at the two people, they were already retreating into the distance.

"The enemy is too strong, quick, go notify Lord Gemini!"

He spoke, then without waiting for Doruru's reply, he charged outside.

While chasing the two, Little Black deftly used his claws and bone blades to pick up the corpses of three assassins.

After drawing out their bone marrow, he threw the bodies back down to the ground.

Upon seeing the undead monster chasing them, Soth threw a smoke bomb.

Boom!

A cloud of black smoke enveloped them, and when it cleared, their figures were gone.

In just a few moments, the two of them raced out of the manor, battered and desperate.

Now, they had to regroup with Gemini, who was responsible for sweeping out the other bases of the Terance family.

As long as those two adults were around, there was nothing else to worry about.

"Hurry, don't let that monster..."

The bone tail suddenly shot out. Soth looked to the ground in disbelief, for the bone blade had stabbed up from beneath the earth.

Looking up, he saw the undead had already gotten ahead of them, standing atop a rooftop.

Little Black stabbed his extended bone tail into the ground, and his pair of crimson soulfires looked down at the two with mocking derision.

"I am the Queen's blade; all I see must be eradicated!"

The bone tail retracted, and with its support gone, Soth fell to his knees, clutching his wounded abdomen in agony. Seeing this, Aife immediately stepped in front of him to shield him.

"Damn it!"

"Don't fight head-on. I'll hold him off; you must get the information back to Lord Gemini."

Soth gritted out, enduring the searing pain in his body. As an assassin, as long as there's a single drop of blood left, he must still fight for the mission!

"That's nothing more than meaningless struggle."

Little Black replied, his long bone tail swirling around him. Absorbing the bones from the earlier corpses, Little Black was now encased in a layer of gleaming white external skeletal armor.

"Who are you, and what are your real intentions?"

Aife shouted at Little Black, but was answered by a flashing attack.

It was three bone knives, shot out from Little Black's forearm bone wrists, instantly crossing the space to Aife.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

She raised her blade to deflect them, but during the gap of swinging, Little Black rushed to her side.

Thud!

Bone claws pierced Aife's abdomen. Soth roared in grief.

"Aife!"

"In the Queen's name, your end is decreed."

Blade Rend!

The trident bone claws extended from the skeletal armor spun in a cruel drill. Aife was eviscerated on the spot.

"You!!!"

Soth howled, but in the next second, Little Black lifted him by the throat with his bone tail.

"Let... let me go!"

Choked by the bone tail, Soth struggled to breathe as Little Black stabbed him with a bone claw.

"By your death, I bestow myself new life!"

With that, the 'Bone of Sin' skill activated, and Little Black forcibly drew the bones from Soth's body.

"Ah...aahhh!"

Agonized screams shattered the silence of the night.

The bones pulled from Soth's body fused into the final section of Little Black's armored body, enclosing his once-vulnerable soulfire behind a white skeletal mask.

He released his bone tail.

The corpse thudded to the ground, and the piercing scream drew the attention of the night watch.

A squad of guards was already on their way.

Glancing at the glow of fires in the distance, Little Black calmly pulled up his hood.

Beneath the black cloak, the only thing showing was the bone mask and two flickering crimson flames.

Little Black vanished, and not long after, the soldiers arrived.

But what happened next had nothing to do with Little Black.

Confirming the squad had not discovered him, he leapt back into the manor with a few jumps.

"L-Lord Undead?"

Seeing the mysterious, masked figure in the hooded cloak, Doruru hesitated to confirm his identity.

But Little Black didn't answer. He scooped Doruru into his arms, enveloping her in his cloak.

With Doruru in tow, Little Black entered stealth and leapt toward the city outskirts.

Now armored in bones, Little Black's abilities had drastically increased. In a few leaps, he was already dashing down the street.

Watching the scenery fly past, Doruru knew she was finally gaining her freedom, and the one who brought her this freedom was none other than this sudden 'Lord Undead'.

At that moment, Little Black was carrying Doruru in his arms. Despite the frigid bone armor, Doruru felt unexpectedly at peace.

"Thank you, Lord Undead!"

Little Black did not reply, leaping with Doruru over the city walls. The guards heard only faint sounds; otherwise, they sensed nothing unusual.

Racing towards the Corrupted Forest at full speed, Little Black held nothing back. It wouldn't be long before they made it home.

Meanwhile, the guards had arrived at the place where Soth had fallen. Gazing at the two gruesomely murdered bodies, the guards all frowned deeply.

"Captain, it's bad. In all of the Terance family's estates and residences, as well as the Terance Merchant Group's warehouse, a large number of corpses have been found. Among them are Terance family members and a group of black-robed assassins, and..."

"What else?"

"And..."

Prompted by the captain, the soldier exchanged glances with the others.
