Chapter 13 - Engineering Section 4!

A silent night passed.

The next morning, during breakfast, the atmosphere in the dining room was extremely tense.

Lin Chaodong suddenly said:

“By the way, Luoluo, when you go to work today, make sure to bring more bodyguards.”

Lin Luoluo nodded.

“I understand, Grandfather.”

“Also, take Zhou Yu with you today and arrange a position for him in the corporation, so he can quickly familiarize himself with the company’s business.”

“But, I will place him in the Engineering Department.”

By placing this kid in the Engineering Department, Yang Hao will think he is your man and surely won’t let him off easy.”

After their conversation, Lin Luoluo took Zhou Yu to Lin Corporation.

Zhou Yu had been to Lin Corporation twice before but had only ever been outside the main entrance, never inside.

Today, riding in Lin Luoluo’s car, he went straight in.

“Manager Lin, hello!”

As the elevator doors opened, a man in a suit was already waiting at the elevator entrance.

“He is the head of the HR department, Qi Fei.”

“Director Qi, this is Zhou Yu; proceed with his hiring, then assign him to the Engineering Department.”

“Yes, Manager Lin.”

Lin Luoluo nodded and turned to leave.

Qi Fei looked at Zhou Yu.

“Zhou Yu, right?

Come with me, fill out some hiring forms first.”

“Okay.”

Zhou Yu followed Qi Fei to the office to fill out the forms.

Qi Fei provided a detailed form, but Zhou Yu only filled it out briefly.

Qi Fei didn’t seem to mind; he smiled and said:

“I will now take you to the Engineering Department.”

“Coming to the Engineering Department, you’ve come to the right place.

It’s the most powerful and promising department in the corporation.

As long as you can stay, the future is limitless.”

Zhou Yu’s eyebrows slightly raised.

The way it was said seemed to imply something more.

However, Zhou Yu did not ask further, simply saying:

“Please look after me in the future, Director Qi.”

“Certainly, certainly.”

Qi Fei led Zhou Yu to the tenth floor of the corporation.

The entire tenth floor was the office area of the Engineering Department.

They arrived at a large office, where several dozen people were sitting, the office bustling and busy.

“Everyone, quiet down.”

Qi Fei spoke loudly.

“I’d like to introduce a new colleague.”

As he finished speaking, the entire office quieted down, and everyone’s gaze turned towards Qi Fei and Zhou Yu.

“He’s Zhou Yu, and from now on, he will be a new colleague in your engineering department.

Just then, a cold voice rang out.

Who told you to stop?”

Zhou Yu turned his head to look and saw a man in his thirties walking in from the outside.

“Qi Fei, what are you doing here?” The smile on Qi Fei’s face disappeared as he spoke in an even tone.

“Yang Hao, I’m here for official business.”

“He’s Zhou Yu, the newcomer in the engineering department.”

“I’m the head of the engineering department.

How come I was not informed about a new person joining?”

Yang Hao walked up to Qi Fei with a cold stare.

Qi Fei showed no fear.

“Yang Hao, he was specially arranged by Director Lin.

What, do you have a problem with that?”

“Lin Luoluo?” A flash of surprise crossed Yang Hao’s eyes.

“Is she at the company?”

“Isn’t that obvious?

As the general manager, where else would Director Lin be if not at the company?” Yang Hao narrowed his eyes, staring at Qi Fei before saying,

“Since Director Lin arranged it, I will definitely take good care of him.”

The word ‘take care’ was heavily emphasized by Yang Hao.

“You can leave now.” Qi Fei did not argue further; he glanced meaningfully at Zhou Yu and then turned to leave.

Yang Hao looked at Zhou Yu with a cold smirk, then turned to his secretary and said,

“Take him to register at engineering department four.” The secretary immediately replied,

“Right away, Chief Yang.”

Then, she led Zhou Yu to engineering department four.

“This is it; you can go in yourself.” After saying that, she turned and left immediately.

Zhou Yu touched his nose.

This so-called engineering department was full of oddities.

That Yang Hao, in particular, had the face of someone scheming for power, clearly up to no good.

What was Lin Luoluo thinking by placing him here?

As he pondered, he pushed the door open.

The moment he opened the door, a visibly thick smoke billowed out, mixed with the scents of various alcoholic beverages and accompanied by loud music.

Zhou Yu was stunned.

Compared to the busy office from before, this place was outright a nightclub.

Inside the office, some were sitting, some lying down, some smoking, and some holding drinks, both men and women, numbering over thirty.

Zhou Yu cleared his throat and walked in.

“Hello, colleagues.

I am Zhou Yu, your new colleague.

I hope for your kind cooperation in the future.”

However, no one responded to him; all the young people just looked at him with mocking faces.

At that moment, a young man sitting on the desk with his legs crossed stood up and walked over.

“Kid, do you know the rules of engineering department four?” Zhou Yu shook his head, “I don’t.”

The young man grinned devilishly, raising his fist.

“Do you know what this is?” “Is this—little fist?”

The young man narrowed his eyes.

“Mocking me, looking for trouble!” As he spoke, the young man threw a punch straight at Zhou Yu’s nose.

However, Zhou Yu merely tilted his head slightly and dodged the punch, then immediately kicked the young man in the chest.

“Ow—” The young man screamed in pain and flew backwards.

“Brother Qiu!!” Everyone was stunned and then immediately rushed over to help the young man up.

“Get him, all together.” In pain, the young man roared.

The remaining twenty to thirty people did not hesitate and swarmed towards him.
