Chapter 55 - The Battle in the Bedroom!

Inside a high-end leisure lounge.

Lin Luoluo and a beauty nearly as gorgeous as she is were nestled on the couch, drinking.

This beauty was her best friend, Ye Ling.

Ye Ling looked surprised.

“What’s wrong?

Who’s upset our Miss Lin Family?”

Lin Luoluo said irritably,

“Who else could it be!”

“Are you talking about that wild kid from the mountains?”

“What about him?”

“This afternoon, he was picked up by the Divine Doctor’s granddaughter.

Their relationship seemed to be quite special.”

“Giggle…”

Ye Ling covered her mouth and laughed openly.

“Didn’t you say you didn’t like that wild kid?

Are you jealous because he’s with another girl?”

Lin Luoluo glared.

“You’re the one who’s jealous.”

“I just feel like I can’t see through him.”

Lin Luoluo’s expression turned blank, a complex look flashing through her eyes.

“Sometimes I feel he’s useless, but other times he seems very responsible.

Yet, just when I think he’s responsible, he instantly reverts back to his true nature.”

Ye Ling looked astonished.

“That’s not right, Luoluo.

I’ve never seen any man make you feel this way.”

“No way, I have to meet him someday.

I want to see why this wild kid has upset our Luoluo like this.”

“What do you mean ‘upset’.” Lin Luoluo gave her a glance.

“Let’s not talk about him.

Little Ling, I called you here because I need to ask you something.”

“What’s wrong?

Just tell me.”

“Yang Yuhong has been restless lately.

I don’t know what he’s up to, but I always have a bad feeling.

Your family’s old man has wide connections in Yancheng and always has the inside scoop.

Have you heard anything recently?”

Ye Ling tilted her head and thought.

“I haven’t heard anything.

However, I did hear that the chairman of the Dongfang Group from Wucheng is recently in Yancheng and seems to be planning something big.”

“The chairman of the Dongfang Group?” Lin Luoluo looked surprised.

“What’s he here for?

Do you know?”

“I don’t know about that,” Ye Ling shrugged, “Do you need me to find out for you?”

Lin Luoluo thought for a moment.

“If it’s convenient, please find out for me.”

“Still, the main concern is Yang Yuhong.

I always feel like the Yang Family is up to something.”

“Sure, don’t worry.

I’ll ask around for you.”

Zhou Yu and Li Shuangshuang finished their meal and then returned to the Lin Family’s place.

After arriving, Lin Luoluo had already gone to sleep.

Zhou Yu headed straight for the balcony.

Suddenly, Lin Luoluo’s voice rang out,

“Is it fun outside?”

Zhou Yu turned his head to see Lin Luoluo sitting up.

This was quite rare.

Lin Luoluo was actually initiating a conversation with him.

Normally, the two hardly spoke in the bedroom.

Zhou Yu smiled slightly.

“It was alright.”

For some reason, seeing Zhou Yu’s reaction annoyed Lin Luoluo.

“Next time you go out with another girl, please try not to be too showy.”

Zhou Yu was taken aback, then joked,

“We just had a meal, that’s all.”

“You aren’t jealous, are you?”

Bang!

Lin Luoluo immediately grabbed a pillow and threw it at Zhou Yu.

“Who are you to me?

I’m not jealous of you!”

“I’m just worried about this getting to Grandpa’s ears and upsetting him.”

Lin Luoluo’s strong reaction was unexpected to Zhou Yu.

He covered his head, enduring the blow, then quickly said,

“I was just joking…”

Before he could finish, Zhou Yu was stunned.

He stared blankly at Lin Luoluo, his eyes wide.

Noticing Zhou Yu’s odd look, Lin Luoluo glanced down and realized that in throwing the pillow, her silk nightgown had slipped, revealing quite a bit of her cleavage.

“Ah!”

Lin Luoluo exclaimed, hurriedly pulling her nightgown up.

“I didn’t see anything.”

Zhou Yu quickly ducked and dashed to the balcony.

Indeed, just as he closed the door, another pillow came flying at him.

“Good thing I dodged quickly.”

Zhou Yu breathed a sigh of relief.

“But that just now…

was quite something…”

Lin Luoluo, clutching her clothes, her cheeks flaming, glared hatefully at the balcony and gritted her teeth.

The rest of the night passed without a word.

Early the next morning, Zhou Yu came in from the balcony as Lin Luoluo was just getting up.

Their eyes met, and Zhou Yu unconsciously glanced again at Lin Luoluo’s chest.

“What are you looking at?”

Lin Luoluo immediately snapped.

“I didn’t see anything.”

A wise man doesn’t fight with a woman.

Zhou Yu quickly ran off.

Lin Luoluo was both angry and helpless.

She had never been taken advantage of so much.

Now, however, this guy almost had his full view.

It was infuriating.

During breakfast, neither of them spoke.

Suddenly, Lin Luoluo’s phone rang.

It was from Lin Wanhao.

“Dad, what is it?”

“Luoluo, come to the company quickly, there’s trouble.”

“What happened?”

“Yang Yuhong and some of the group’s veterans are here, they want to hold a board meeting.”

Lin Luoluo’s heart sank—what was bound to come, always did come.

“Dad, I’ll be right there.”

After hanging up, Lin Luoluo got up and left.

Zhou Yu also put down his utensils and followed her out.

On the way, Zhou Yu curiously asked,

“General Manager Lin, what happened?

What’s the trouble?”
