With a "snap," the paintbrush in Titus Zane’s hand trembled and fell to the floor, a manifestation of her fear.

The red wine she held in her left hand also shook violently, spilling over from the wine glass.

After nearly a year together, Titus Zane knew this man too well.

Usually, he wouldn’t spare her a second glance, but whenever she defied him or caused her sister Olivia Zane distress, he would not let it go and would always claim retribution with interest!

In the panic-stricken gaze of Titus Zane, Nathan Moore slowly stepped up to her, hiked up his trouser leg slightly and squatted down, his well-defined fingers gripping Titus Zane’s chin, forcing her to look up and meet his eyes.

Even though he had yet to speak, Titus Zane could clearly feel the chilling aura emanating from him.

Titus Zane finally understood that this man was settling accounts with her over this matter.

"Good that you won’t." The arch of Nathan Moore’s thin lips remained, his dismissive response mirroring his scorn.

Nathan Moore raised his eyebrows, truly admiring the woman before him.

Though clearly driven to the edge of fear, she still tried hard to maintain her composure.

They say women are fickle, but Nathan Moore felt, the most changeable woman he had seen was the one before him.

Just a moment ago she was terribly frightened, and now, she had put on a cold facade, as if she was something to be avidly avoided.

With a twitch of his lip corner, he emitted a light sneer.

With a wave of Nathan Moore’s hand, Titus Zane staggered backwards, barely avoiding an awkward fall to the floor.

However, her hands bracing behind her, the wine glass also crashed to the floor, emitting a dull sound, shattering into pieces.

The red liquid inside flowed over the floor, and Titus Zane felt a severe pain in a certain spot in her palm.

Barely noticeable, she furrowed her brows and under Nathan Moore’s cold and mocking gaze, she quickly regained her cold demeanor.

The two of them locked eyes in silence, one standing high above, the other propped up on the floor, neither avoiding the other, engaging in a silent contest.

Nathan Moore knew well, if he stood there all night, this woman could confront him for the entire duration.

Catching a glimpse of the woman’s left hand involuntarily curling and then releasing, Nathan Moore’s handsome face showed little emotion, his thin lips slightly parted, issuing a cold warning.

"Titus Zane, I hope you remember what I said today; otherwise, I won’t make it easy for the Zane Family."

After speaking, he turned around and strode away with long steps.

The moment the bedroom door slammed shut, all of Titus Zane’s perseverance crumbled in an instant, her body collapsing backwards onto the floor. Then, with a cry of "ah," she sprung up again.

The shards of the broken wine glass pierced into her palm, and a bright red liquid flowed from her palm.
