The handsome-browed man buried in work on his laptop on the sofa furrowed his brows and said nothing.

His woman was so kind-hearted, that even being harmed by her own sister to the extent of needing a wheelchair for mobility, she remained magnanimous. In contrast, the woman on the sick bed had clearly harbored a venomous heart, yet affected an air of being above the mundane world.

With just a fleeting glance, the man reverted his gaze, the repulsion barely concealable in his dark eyes.

Remembering that accident, Titus Zane recalled the scene at the time.

"...Titus, if it weren’t for me, our parents would have tossed you out onto the streets to beg long ago!" At the corner of the staircase, Olivia Zane said these disdainful words, turned, and walked away.

"Stop, make yourself clear!"

Titus reached out to grab his sister’s arm.

"Let go...Ouch, you’re hurting me,"

"Explain what you just said clearly, who is going to be thrown out onto the streets by our parents!"

"Let go, ah..." Olivia Zane exclaimed in alarm. Titus only felt his hand empty, watching as a bundle of white tumbled down the stairs, standing still, forgetting to react...

Since that day, every time Titus dreamed, it was the image of his sister falling down the stairs due to his unintended push, and Olivia’s words became a thorn in his heart, echoing in his ears constantly.

"Olivia, what did you really mean by your words that day?"

Titus narrowed his watering eyes, which were inconsistent with his temperament.

He himself belonged to that type of cold beauty, with an icy face, not much talk, perhaps due to being an artist, he often exhibited an ethereal detachment when silent.

Yet, his eyes were innately alluring, even with a lack of expression, and just a fleeting glimpse was enough to stir people’s emotions.

"What words?" Olivia Zane continued to peel her apple, her lips curling into a gentle arc, appearing serene and gentle.

If it wasn’t for those who knew her well, no one would believe the two were biological sisters.

Not only did they look dissimilar, but their temperaments and personalities were also completely distinct.

Titus narrowed his water-filled eyes again, which became slightly curved because of the squinting, inadvertently giving off a seductive illusion.

"Olivia, don’t evade the question. What did you mean by saying I’d be thrown out by our parents to beg on the streets?"

Titus himself was usually unsmiling, and unlike his sister, his words were not soft, so when he spoke, it carried somewhat of an interrogative tone.

"Sister, what are you talking about? When have I ever said something like that? Did your head get damaged after you fainted?"

Olivia Zane lifted her head to look at her sister, who lay wan and sallow on the sickbed, and said with a laugh.

His eyes grew even narrower.

See, this was his own sister, always defeating him with her harmless demeanor and words.

Not wanting to face his sister’s hypocritical facade, Titus turned his face toward the direction of the door.

Only, here was another figure he found detestable as well, sitting on the sofa, engrossed in work on his computer.

Watching the man’s focused manner of working, Titus couldn’t help but let out a scoff.
