Chapter 332 - Divine Child
Chapter 332 of "Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God" opens with: "No, not a Mage Tower, but a real Ghost Factory. The path you are now... Find out what happens!
"No, not a Mage Tower, but a real Ghost Factory. The path you are now on is very good, but it is far from enough. Not only should the winery be started up, but also textile workshops and forge workshopsâall need to be initiated," Gaven said with great enthusiasm.Daphne and Estelle, through a fortunate accident, had unlocked a whole new door for Gaven.
Machines operated by shadows were no different from fully automated equipment.
They could draw energy from the Shadow Plane without paying wages, work twenty-four hours a day without rest, wouldnât complain, and wouldnât strikeâat least most wouldnât complain or strike.
There was even a chance that due to the influence of shadow energy, the products could become quite unique and surge in value.
Shadow Wine was one such example.
Radiance Cloth, Night Silk, Star Cotton, and Rain Fabric, unique to the Fae Race, were all cloths woven using unique sceneries and energies.
Could their Weizemay Manor emulate this process, utilizing shadow energy to imitate and produce Shadow Weave or Shadow Fabric?
It would certainly be difficult for ordinary people, but what about those Earthbound Wraiths?
Daphne agreed readily, "Very well, Lord, I know what to do."
"That matter can wait; we have more important things to address," Gaven said gravely. "What do you know about the sealed Dwarves Elf Vampire Lord in the Comanso Forest, the one from the legends who could envelop a city, or even a nation, with just his abilities?"
"Divine Child Elvis?" Daphne asked, her complexion abruptly changing, "Has someone found the seal of the Divine Child?"
"Divine Child? Which deityâs son?" Gavenâs expression shifted dramatically as well. From the legends, he had surmised this Dwarves Elf Vampire Lord was extraordinary, but not this extraordinary. "Itâs not the Goddess of Revenge Chiaranlishaâs, is it?"
"Yes, the very Goddess of Revengeâs," Daphne confirmed with a nod. "However, itâs not from after she was enthroned as a deity but from when she was still the Elf Queen. To grant her son eternal life and great strength, after her divine enthronement, the Goddess of Revenge personally turned her son into a Vampire Lord.
According to legend, the Goddess of Revenge even shared a sliver of her Divine Nature Radiance with her favorite son, tying his very essence of life to the Shadow Plane, ensuring that as long as the Shadow Plane exists, he will not die.
This prince, leveraging that shred of strength, became wildly unrestrained. Unsatisfied with the Dark Domain, he even ventured above ground to challenge beings too powerful for him to provoke.
It is said that after being captured by a Supreme Elf Mage, because it was impossible to strip the Divine Nature Radiance of the Goddess of Revenge from the Divine Child and to kill him thoroughly, they could only perpetually hide him through an eternal seal.
Even the Goddess of Revenge herself, upon searching, could not find the location of the seal."
"Just as I thought, itâs related to her," Gaven let out a relieved breath. "Among the followers of the Goddess of Revenge, isnât there a group of Dwarves Elf Vampires?"
"There should be," Daphne replied uncertainly. "Lord, you also know our situation as Dwarves Elves. We are quite scattered among ourselves. Even as followers of the Goddess of Revenge, we donât have close contacts. My understanding of other followers is relatively limited.
But the Goddess has never given up searching for her son."
Before he was sealed, Elvis also left behind a multitude of descendants. If those are Dwarves Elf Vampires, it might be them."
"Whether or not itâs related to the Undead Goddess of Revenge, letâs capture them first," Gaven realized that in this life, he had somehow crossed paths with the Undead Goddess of Revenge. If he ended up killing her Divine Child as well, even if he originally had no intention of slaying gods, he would develop the urge.
The first thing the Undead Goddess of Revenge would do upon awakening would undoubtedly be to come after him and kill him.
"You guys actually discovered the sealing location of the Divine Child Elvis?" Daphne was truly shocked. What kind of luck did this person have?
The Undead Goddess of Revenge had been searching for her son for so many years without success, and their lord just happened upon it while buying cotton?
"We did not discover the Divine Childâs sealing location. It was a group of Dwarves Elf Vampires who found it, and theyâve been abducting people, attempting to break the seal. Whether itâs the Divine Child Elvis you mentioned, we need further confirmation," Gaven explained. "I need the power of Black Nanmu and yours. Wait, come with us." Google seaĘá´h É´o(v)elFÉŞre.É´et
"Alright," Daphne agreed readily.
She had no choice but to agree, for she was now a soul imprisoned by Black Nanmu and couldnât be more than a hundred meters away from him. Wherever he went, she had to follow, although lately, she had mostly been leading the way.
"The abilities match, the location matches, and the rescuers match. There is a ninety-nine percent chance itâs Divine Child Elvis," Daphne hurriedly cautioned. "You must not let them break the seal. Elvis not only possesses legendary strength, but legends say he can also summon Dark Night Emissaries from the Shadow Plane..."
"Dark Night Emissaries? What are those? Iâve never heard of such creatures," Gaven asked, puzzled.
"They are native monsters from the depths of the Shadow Plane and rarely appear in the Material Plane. Once summoned, they bring a series of bloody assassinations with them. They are legendary assassins, capable of moving from one shadow to another..."
"I understand," Gaven nodded in realization.
Daphne didnât need to explain so muchâjust the term âlegendary assassinsâ was enough.
Anything associated with legend, no matter the profession, signifies a pinnacle in a particular field, a master amongst masters.
A legendary vampire was already terrifying enough, let alone a legendary creature from the Shadow Plane.
The level of their formidable strength was simply unimaginable.
Should the seal be broken, even if Gaven gathered all his high-end combat power, the wisest choice would still be to turn tail and run, leaving them to be dealt with by those legendary powerhouses.
"And thatâs not even the worst part. The real trouble is, if Elvis awakens, the Divine Nature Radiance on him might be sensed by the Undead Goddess of Revenge, and she might reclaim it to heal her wounds. After all, that was the Holy Light bestowed by the goddess at her strongest. It would be greatly beneficial to her now and might even awaken her prematurely. If that happens, Lord Virginia will face a very, very big problem," warned Daphne.
What Daphne feared the most was that last point.
Whether or not the Undead Goddess of Revenge would cause trouble for Gaven after awakening, she did not know. But she was certain that she would not have good days ahead; the goddess might even kill her from afar.
"I want to go too," a faint voice said from behind Estelle.
It was none other than the frail Amanda, who had been following behind her mother the whole time. Her presence, much like that of a kindergarten childâsmall and thinâmade it easy to overlook her.
"Youâre going?" Gaven asked in surprise, "You are an Earthbound Spirit; you canât leave the Weizemay Manor. How can you go?"
"I can follow Master, as Master carries a part of the manor with him," Amanda answered Gavenâs question with her actions, transforming into her spirit form and slipping directly into his shadow.
A second later, she revealed half of her body and said, "See, no problem at all."
In Gavenâs shadow, a thin and frail, tousle-haired little girl was half-visible; her translucent form was quite the chilling sight.
The scene was as eerie as one could imagine.
If the second Stealth Worm from before had been there, it would have surely fainted on the spot.
Could this really work?
Gaven himself was quite startled, not by the horrific sight, but by Amandaâs unique ability.
After a momentâs thought, he understood how it worked.
The Weizemay Manor was bound to his soul, just like the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.
So to say he carried a part of the Weizemay Manor with him was indeed correct.
Estelle and Amanda, as the Earthbound Spirits of the Weizemay Manor, were more essentially connected to it than just the land beneath their feet.
Meanwhile, Estelle was looking at Gaven with a pleading gaze, clearly not keen on the idea of Gaven taking her daughter away.
Although they now possessed considerable strength, Estelle, out of maternal instinct, still saw Amanda as the fragile little one who could only seek protection in her arms.
Gaven decisively ignored Estelleâs heartbreakingly pleading eyes and nodded in agreement, "Alright, but without my command, you can only hide in my shadow and not come out."
Last time when facing the Wandering Spirit Group, Gaven realized that he had a significant disadvantage when fighting spiritual beings.
Amandaâs phasing transformation complemented him perfectly.
Her phasing ability wasnât limited to herself; she could apply it to other ghosts as well.
She didnât need to be exceptionally strong in combat, just needed to temporarily transform those spirits into material form, and Gaven had all the means to deal with them.
"Okay," Amanda nodded repeatedly, unable to hide her excitement and joy. She hadnât left the Weizemay Manor in her entire life, after all.
She then dived right back into Gavenâs shadow and disappeared from sight.
If one observed carefully, Gavenâs shadow was indeed unusual, with a part of it appearing layered, hugging a small, frail figure.
Amanda was avoiding her mother â realizing that pleading with Gaven was of no use, Estelle placed her hopes on Amanda, wishing for her to reconsider.
But this time, to everyoneâs surprise, her daughterâs will was extraordinarily resolute.
Looking at Estelle, who seemed to have lost the most precious thing in her life, forlorn and pitiable.
Gaven, feeling a bit compassionate, said, "Amanda isnât an ordinary little girl anymore. Her unique ability would be a headache for many a Transcendent Combat Profession Practitioner.
Not to mention that I wonât allow her to be harmed but even if something unexpected happens, her soul will return to the manor at once. As long as you watch over the manor here, nothing will happen to her."
"But she has never been apart from me since she was born. What if she canât adapt to being away?" asked Estelle, her worry evident.
She almost askedâwhat if she gets thirsty? Hungry?
"Children grow up, and there comes a time when we must let go," Gaven said earnestly.
It seems that the dependency between mother and daughter was mutual, not one-sided.
"But..." Estelle still wanted to say more.
Gaven did not give her a chance to continue and beckoned to the Black Nanmu, "Itâs time to go; we are on a tight schedule."
Black Nanmu and Thornspike, instead of being transported by Lord Virginia this time, would be traveling by water, towed by a Demi-Humanâs swift boat, going downstream.
Before dawn, they would reach upstream of Black Feather Bridge. From there, they could disembark and walk along the Good Fortune Tooth Mountain Range to the Tesser Refugee Camp. If all went as planned, they would arrive by noon.
Choosing this method was, of course, to conserve as many of Lord Virginiaâs spell slots as possible, since a fierce battle awaited them in the evening.
Gaven and Lord Virginia, leading another group, would teleport to Good Fortune Village in the middle of the night.
This could not be avoided since they needed to set up the battlefield in advance.
Without waiting for daylight, they quietly scaled the Good Fortune Tooth Mountain Range. As soon as the sun rose, they could descend and enter the Tesser Refugee Camp.
But compared to other nights, this particular night at the Tesser Refugee Camp was extraordinarily long, with dawn and sunrise both delayed.
From their vantage point atop the Good Fortune Tooth Mountains, Gaven and his companions could see everything more clearly.
The Tesser Refugee Camp had been shrouded in thick fog all night, leaving the specifics within obscured.
