Crude and simple though their craftsmanship may be, their lethality is unquestionable. Once struck, the smaller and thinner bodies of the Dwarves Elves could not withstand the blow; either their bones would shatter or limbs would break. One unlucky Dwarves Elf was cleaved in half by a Golia Barbarian in a Berserk State, his lower half twitching wildly while his upper half painfully wailed and tried to climb— a sight more chilling than a quick death.

By this time, Gaven had completed his change of Armor.

The Crown Shield transformed into its seldom-used crown state, but instead of using it himself, he placed it upon the head of his Half-Moon Colt.

The crown state of the Crown Shield could indeed be compatible with combat Armor, but its effect on Gaven was far less significant than its effect on the Half-Moon Colt.

With the Death Roar switching from right hand to left, a massive heavy lance appeared in his right, as he assumed the standard knightly charge posture and loudly declared, "Follow me in the charge."

Little did he expect the Victory Pledge given by the God of Strategy to be of use so soon.

No rule dictated that only horse-mounted individuals could be called knights or participate in a charge.

Any brave frontal assault on the enemy qualifies as a charge, and all three auras of Victory Pledge would take effect.

The auras enveloping the Golia were not just three, but five.

Beyond the three great auras of fearlessness, fear, and fervor provided by the Victory Pledge,

there was also the Life Aura provided by Gaven’s Combat Armor—granting each allied unit within a slight Life Regeneration ability (restoring one point of life force every six seconds), although its coverage was smaller than the other three, with only a ten-meter radius.

The remaining aura was provided by a Golia Spellcaster, a type of advanced profession Gaven had not seen before, somewhat reminiscent of Magicians and Shamans. The cast spell was also very special; as granite dust was sprinkled, patterns began to spread amongst the Golia, gradually hardening and causing weapons to clang off them in ringing tones.

The effect closely resembled the defensive four-ring Spell Stone Skin, which turns the recipient’s skin as hard as rock, giving resistance against bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing—granting 10/Fine Gold Damage Reduction.

However, Stone Skin is intended for individuals, whereas this Spellcaster’s magic is group-oriented and only effective as a racial Spell for the Golia. With five auras empowering them, the combat capabilities of these Golia shot up dramatically, leaving them utterly fearless and able to wildly wield their massive weapons.

Unhesitatingly taking long strides, they followed behind Gaven.

With their tall stature and long legs, combined with a natural aptitude for running and jumping (they have a racial bonus in these skills, making them naturally higher than other races), they were able to keep pace with the Half-Moon Colt who had just begun the charge, a truly astonishing feat.

Entering the charge did not mean that Gaven and his companions would simply wait to collide with the enemy.

Daylight Spell!

Once more cast on Gaven.

His Armor, although not exclusively for Holy Warriors, bore the mark of a deity—the sun emblem on the helmet was the Holy Emblem of one of the True Gods.

Gaven once researched this emblem. It does not belong to one of the native Felen deities but instead comes from a deity from another plane of the Multiverse, a God of Light named Paelor known for domains over the sun, light, strength, and healing.

This deity is so powerful that his influence radiates into Felen despite the protective Plane Barriers, granting this Armor associated with him a series of hidden features, such as the perpetual glow.

When spells related to light are cast on this Armor, they are transformed into solar radiance and amplified to an extreme effect.

Gaven, now bearing the Daylight Spell, emitted blinding light from his Armor that made it impossible for even ordinary races to look directly, let alone the Dwarves Elves who were naturally disadvantaged in this respect. Those who dared to direct their gaze were immediately blinded.

Petrified Eye.

A gray beam shot forth from a gem atop the Half-Moon Colt’s crown, striking a Dwarves Elf who could not escape in time. The grayness spread over his body, and in the blink of an eye, he turned into a statue still in a running pose and with an expression of terror. The galloping Half-Moon Colt kicked the statue to the ground, shattering it into several pieces.

Due to the lethality of the Death Roar, Gaven rarely used this unique ability of the Crown Shield.

"Get down here!"

The Half-Moon Colt let out an ear-splitting roar, full of evident magical force, emitting in a conical ripple that surged outward.

Many caught off guard were sent tumbling head over heels.

But what suffered the most was their ears; many not only had blood streaming out of their ears, but also from their noses and eyes.

The magic force transmitted directly into their brains through the sound, creating intracranial pressure.

Those with robust physical health could still resist, but the fragile ones suffered more than just deafness; several already-injured Dwarves Elves were instantly killed by the vibration (5D6 sonic damage).

Roar Spell, a fourth-tier spell, originating from the Half-Moon Colt’s Magic Veins.

The true target of the Half-Moon Colt was those Dwarves Elites who had cast Levitation Skill, hoping to cross the area covered by the Entangle Spell.

Half of them were brought down directly, and the rest did not escape either; Gaven’s Death Roar, now seldom-used for combat, commanded the release of the rarely utilised Psychic Bullet. Once caught in a state of shock, they could no longer maintain their Levitation Skill.

All fell into the area dense with vine tentacles, making movement incredibly difficult.

The Entangle Spell was, in fact, the first magic the Half-Moon Colt cast, laid across the path the Dwarves Elves had to take for their escape.

The Half-Moon Colt was Gaven’s steed, but could not be seen merely as his mount, especially as the Druid levels rose, and unique equipment became plentiful, her abilities grew more and more diversified, particularly in support, which she managed flawlessly.

While these Dwarves Elves struggled in the entanglement, she, with her ability to Forest Stride, was unaffected and dashed past them with undiminished speed.

With a Heavy Lance in one hand and the Death Roar in the other, Gaven unleashed a frenzy of slaughter.

When he emerged from the twenty-five-meter diameter area of the Entangle Spell, two half-dead Dwarves Elves hung from his lance.

No less than half a dozen had either been killed or gravely injured by the Death Roar.

Essentially, any who failed to break free in time were as good as dead.

Do not forget, Gaven was not charging alone; dozens of Golia warriors had rallied behind him.

The Golia, though also impeded by the vines of the Entangle Spell, possessed a terrifying ability to leap.

Upon reaching the edge of the area covered by the spell, they would crouch down, their leg muscles tensing, and then unleash their strength to leap over distances of seven to eight meters, some even over ten meters.

How far they leapt depended entirely on their targeted victims.

This was what truly defined a Jump Slash, a strike as if descending from the heavens.

If struck, these Dwarves Elves stood no chance of survival; after slaying their targets, the barbarians would leap again, shattering the vines entangling their legs with sheer force. Just two leaps and they were beyond the confines of the Entangle Spell.

Observing their effortless performance, Gaven couldn’t help but wonder if, at full strength, they could leap over the entire area affected by an Entangle Spell.

As fast as Gaven and his Golia charged, that’s how quickly the Dwarves Elves collapsed.

Especially when the combat-entangled Golia were gradually freed and joined their charging ranks, the Dwarves Elves fell apart completely.

Those slain were few; most quickly vanished into the wilderness forests.

Recklessly pursuing the Dwarves Elves into the dense forest was certainly not a wise choice.

Although they had lost the protection of the Elf Gods and their connection to the forests wasn’t as strong, their abilities in darkness had reached a certain extremity, especially those followers of Velen. Most of them held levels as Thieves and were adept at launching assaults from the shadows.

Not only did Gaven wisely halt his pursuit, but so did the Golia.

A towering figure emerged from the group of Golia and gave Gaven a chest-thumping salute, nodding respectfully, "I am Eglaras, chieftain of the Mountain Tribe. They call me the Fearless Boulder. Thank you for your help, sir. From this day forward, you are the Tribe’s most honored guest. The doors of the Mountain Tribe will always be open to you. As long as we have a bite to eat, we would never let a guest go hungry."

This Golia wasn’t particularly tall among his kin, standing just over 2.2 meters, barely meeting the height requirement of a Golia, but he was solidly built, almost like a Dwarf who had cast the Enlarge spell, with arms as thick as thighs, full of explosive muscles.

He was a Transcendent Barbarian with terrifying combat prowess; previously, he had charged at the forefront, glued to Gaven’s side.

The harsh life in the highlands dictated that the Golia respected the strong and discarded the weak.

Rarely were elders seen among their tribe.

Their adventure-prone life meant few lived to old age for one reason, and for another, once they were deemed useless to the tribe, they were often exiled.

In fact, many Golia chose self-exile once they believed they could no longer contribute to their tribe.

It was a means of survival for their race, unrelated to good or evil.

At least that’s how they saw it; how other races viewed this was of no consequence to them.

The Golia standing before Gaven had become the chieftain of his tribe, naturally as one of their strongest, if not the strongest.
