Chapter 1101: Lacking Mouth Filter
Chapter 1099 of "Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem" starts the action: She grinned before continuing, "But once she mastered her class, which she did so about... Find out what happens!
She grinned before continuing, "But once she mastered her class, which she did so about 70 years ago when she turned 300 years old and was around level 65, she gained a passive skill that rewrote how she interacted with the concept of death itself. As long as blood still flows in her veins, which doesnât need her heart to pump blood, by the way, as the skill does it for her, her essence doesnât leave. She exists in this... weird, eerie limbo. Not alive, not dead. Something in between.""An undead," Kitsara nodded, doing her best to follow the ridiculous tale.
"Yes, but big sis is not like one of those Covenant of Eternity losers. She doesnât become a lich or another undead creature that you know of; she canât do anything when this skill is activated."
Her eyes flicked to the fresh mound of dirt, voice lowering just slightly with thrill. "And hereâs the fun part: if you bury her and let nature reclaim the body, she rebuilds herself. The old vessel rots, the essence seeds itself, and a new body blooms from whatâs left behind. Memories, levels, everything carries overâas long as her brainâs part of the decomposition, she just... starts again."
As if to punctuate her words, the soil shifted.
A tender green shoot pierced the surface, trembling as it reached toward the light.
Vex flashed a much wider grin this time, wide enough to split her face. "Big sis will come back."
"I take it this isnât your first rodeo," Kitsara muttered dryly.
The foxkinâs remark earned only a smile from Vex until her gaze slid down, landing on Kitsaraâs hand.
Lovingly threaded with Quinlanâs.
The sight made her chest seize. A sour heat rushed up her throat as her brain suddenly reminded the woman of the smell her nostrils had picked up on in the underground chamber. This was the moment her yandere brain realized that the woman before her was having sex with her hubby mere minutes before her arrival.
And just like that, jealousy flooded the possessive womanâs veins. Vex understood very well that she was part of a harem, and she loved all her new sisters dearly. She even loved partaking in group activities.
But from time to time... the slightly unhinged woman just couldnât help herself.
This was one such time.
Her lips curved into something far too sweet, but the sharpness in her crimson eyes gave her real thoughts away to any observant person.
"Youâre exceptionally sharp today, foxy. Hubbyâs pounding mustâve shoved some intelligence back into your leaking hole."
Kitsaraâs eyes narrowed in response as the air between the two white-haired, red-eyed women thickened.
"Khm."
Quinlanâs throat-clearing was soft, but it snapped Vex out of her spiral instantly. Her lashes fluttered. A beat later, the eerie shine vanished from her stare, replaced by a happy little cheer. She spun on her heel, all but skipping as she faced the silent, injured figure.
"Master! Welcome to my new home! Youâve met the love of my life already, but not since I sealed the deal with him for eternity!"
Quinlan gave Black Fang a curt nod.
It was not returned.
The silence stretched, brittle as glass. Vex puffed her cheeks and stomped one foot. "Master, stop being a stranger!"
Nothing. Black Fangâs cold, distant gaze didnât soften.
Vexâs pout melted into a laugh. "Hehe! Sheâs always like this..." she muttered while shaking her head before sneaking a glance at Quinlan, visibly begging him not to read too deeply into her Masterâs unyielding frost.
The Hexwitch then gave a theatrical sigh as she ventured to elaborate why the being before them seemed to be more a construct than a flesh-and-bone woman.
"Itâs so painfully obvious, isnât it? Just like that cunt of a queen sitting on the throne, Black Fang has lived for far too long. Sheâs gone a bit crazy. Well..." her grin widened, "... not just a bit. Sheâs batshit insane."
She hadnât even finished the word when her legs buckled.
"Eh?"
Her body folded like a puppet with cut strings, slamming flat on her back. A violent spasm jolted through her frame as she looked down, eyes wide. Twin punctures marred her pale calf, already darkening with sickly purple veins. A hiss escaped her lips, wet and guttural, before blood bubbled up her throat.
"D-Damn..." Vex wheezed, crimson splattering her chin as she vomited a slick splash across the stone. "I said too much in my excitement to introduce Hubby to master..."
Despite his lover being in obvious pain, Quinlan, for once, didnât enter extreme protective mode, for heâd seen this once already.
Back in the Phenom Trials, Vex was the commentator, and she said a bit too much. At first, it was Oriannaâs plants beating her up, but then she got a taste of Black Fangâs poison as well, thanks to her crippling inability to keep her unfiltered lips shut.
And, indeed, heâd noticed the faint twitch of Black Fangâs finger, too small to call a gesture, but enough to understand: she was the perpetrator.
That was enough for Quinlan not to intervene, for he knew that the relationship between these two lunatics was sacred. They were a family, a very unique and unhinged family. He didnât want to become a man whoâd scold his wifeâs master/mother-figure unless she did something truly outlandish.
When it came to these two... this wasnât that extreme, he reasoned.
And, indeed, despite the seeming severity of the situation, there was no panic visible on Vexâs expression as her head lolled to the side. Her eyes rolled, but before they shut, her voice echoed directly into Quinlanâs mind through :
Looking down at his poisoned wifeâs shuddering form, Quinlan had the wryest expression of them all.
Her voice finally faded. The link cut.
Silence overcame the forest as Quinlan suddenly felt the quirky moment become overwhelmed by the sheer weight of Black Fangâs presence, oppressive and absolute. The realization dawned on him in full now that she hadnât moved an inch, hadnât so much as looked in their direction, but Vex, his strongest wife and the only one who was still stronger than him stat-wise, now lay unconscious at Quinlanâs feet with blood still on her lips.
According to Vexâs words, this was just a reprimanding strike, one that an annoyed master gave to her disciple who didnât know her place.
If that was the case, just how far beyond him was this woman when she went all out?
And now, the cheery middlewoman who helped him navigate the situation was knocked out cold, leaving him and his girls to somehow interact with Black Fang without assistance.
