Chapter 128: Chapter 128: So Good to HerMia Ginger lowered her eyes to glance at Zuri Ginger.

She was extremely irritable, yet there was an unexplainable sense of relief.

Earlier in the room, she had suddenly heard Bob Ginger’s voice and became cautious.

Thinking that Bob went out to meet Zuri, she couldn’t sit still, hesitated for a moment, then quickly went downstairs to follow Bob all the way.

After all, she was worried something might happen to him.

Fortunately.

She sighed inwardly but didn’t show it on her face and directly walked towards Zuri.

She pulled her up by the arm and started to support her out.

"What are you doing?" Bob Ginger was completely at a loss, watching her every move, with an extremely complicated expression.

"Are you blind?" Mia, who was thinner than Zuri, struggled to support the drunken Zuri and spoke irritably, "Why are you standing there, give me a hand!"

"Oh!" Bob Ginger was taken aback, and seeing how unsteady the two were, he quickly responded.

No time to worry about Mia’s reprimanding demeanor.

"Mia?" Zuri was somewhat lost between reality and illusion, squinting as she turned her head to glance at her. She then suddenly burst out, pushing her away while screaming, "You bitch, what the hell are you trying to do!"

Mia was caught off guard, stumbled on a bottle on the floor, and fell onto the sofa.

Bob snapped back to reality, shouted angrily at Zuri, and covered her mouth.

Mia supported her shoulder to stand up.

Without a word, she went out and called a waiter over.

The waiter and Bob together supported the swaying Zuri out of the KTV.

"Could I trouble you to walk a little further?" Mia glanced around, pointed to a budget hotel across the street, and smiled at the waiter, "Just get my sister to the hotel entrance."

"But I still have work to do..." The waiter looked troubled.

"Handsome, please help us out!" Mia put on a rare sweet smile, her voice softened as she pleaded, "Just to that hotel, it won’t take more than five minutes. My sister is in this state, my brother and I can barely support her. If something happens crossing the road, what should we do? Please, I’m begging you!"

Bob had never seen her like this before; he looked at her, his face a mix of astonishment and peculiarity, his voice stiff, "A hotel? Why not just go home?"

"Can she go home like this?" Mia frowned, "Or do you want mom and dad to scold her harshly?"

In fact, she couldn’t be bothered to drag Zuri home anymore.

"Then we..."

"Once she falls asleep in the hotel, she’ll be fine in the morning," Mia said calmly, "It’s already past nine, let’s settle her in and we’ll head back."

"But..."

"No buts!" Mia interrupted him directly and smiled at the waiter again, "I really need your help, handsome."

The waiter looked at her with some reluctance.

Mia was wearing an extremely simple dress, something she had casually grabbed from the wardrobe when heading out.

Her short hair was slightly messy but did nothing to detract from her beauty.

With a beautiful girl asking, young guys find it hard to say no.

"Alright then," the waiter said, supporting Zuri, and turned to Bob, "I’ll take you over there."

"Alright." Bob also relented.

It took another half-hour to settle Zuri down.

Mia and Bob took a taxi back home.

Both were in the back seat, Mia sitting on the inside, Bob on the outside, quite far apart.

Neither said a word.

Mainly, Mia didn’t want to talk.

She sat sideways, constantly looking out at the city nighttime splendor through the window, suddenly feeling a bit tired.

Things had come to this point; the war between her and Zuri couldn’t cease.

Zuri hated her, especially after the incident with Edward Davis; that hatred should have peaked, couldn’t change anymore, and her hatred wasn’t any less.

Camilia Davis was gone.

But she couldn’t just let the matter rest.

What she wanted was for Zuri to suffer a complete breakdown, to be utterly humiliated, until she left the Ginger Family in disgrace.

The things Zuri cared about, desperately tried to possess alone, she wanted to shatter them with her own hands, leaving her with no chance of a comeback.

Just like Zuri had pressed her every step of the way, wanting to do the same to her.

But—

Charlotte Chester was selfish and vain, which she didn’t care about, nor had time to.

Only Bob was left.

He was the most difficult, caught between her and Zuri, doomed to constantly taste pain and disappointment.

Mia sighed silently in her heart.

She closed her eyes, leaning back on the seat to rest.

She had chatted online with her editor Crescent Moon for a long time last night, closed her eyes, and unknowingly fell asleep.

Half an hour later—

Bob got out of the car to pay, only to find that she had completely fallen silent.

"The girl seems to be asleep," the driver said, glancing in the rearview mirror while fiddling with the change.

"Huh?"

Bob reopened the car door, reaching to wake her up.

His fingers touched her shoulder but hesitated.

Falling asleep during a car ride, she must be very tired, not to mention she was pushed around earlier by the drunken Zuri.

Bob clenched his fingers into a fist and said to the driver, "Could you please open the left door? It’s a bit more convenient from over there."

The driver opened the door.

Mia’s body swayed for a moment, and Bob quickly caught her.

The two had never been so close before; looking at Mia’s frowning brows even in sleep, Bob was so surprised that he froze, blushing, and said to the driver, "I’m going to squat down; can you help me by putting her on my back? I’ll carry her home."

"Young man, it would be easier to wake her up," the driver suggested.

"She’s asleep," Bob replied awkwardly, "You’d better help put her on my back."

"Alright then," the driver chuckled and helped support Mia onto his back, saying, "Young man, you’re really good to your sister!"
