Aiden stayed with the old man for a little while, then got up to say goodbye.

Bob lagged slightly behind.

He looked at her, then at Koa Jackson to his left front, feeling somewhat depressed.

Bob sped up, came alongside Koa Jackson, and whispered, "Brother Jackson?"

"That’s good." Bob suddenly felt relieved and continued to mutter, "Last time, I was muddle-headed. Brother Jackson, just forget about it. Those weren’t my real thoughts. Actually, my sister is not that bad. She’s really a good person."

"Hmm." Koa Jackson nodded, his emotions detached.

Whenever faced with him, Bob always felt pressured but remembered the main issue, mustering courage to ask again, "So the engagement, is it really... really off?"

"You don’t have feelings for my sister?" Bob was unwilling to give up.

"So what?" Mia’s voice turned even colder, "It’s my fortune if he deems me worthy, right? You even have to cautiously probe?"

"I didn’t say anything!" Bob said frustratedly, furrowing his brows, "Why make us sound so humble!"

"Not humble?" Mia’s voice rose slightly and she froze after speaking.

Indeed!

It’s her despicable pride acting up.
