Chapter 73 - Siege of the Holy Sword Society

The streetlights cast a dim yellow glow on the road.

It was deep into the night, with only the occasional car speeding past, and there was nobody walking on the streets, not even a stray cat or dog in sight.

As Zhao Sheng made his way towards Guangde Mall alongside the high-rise buildings, he kept an eye out for any movements around him.

He took two detours before finally feeling at ease, never suspecting that he was being followed by a balloon drifting high above.

Guangde Mall was built by a rich playboy who had joined the Holy Sword Society, and he had offered up his family’s mall as a temporary base for the society.

With the heavy traffic there, members of the Holy Sword Society could blend in without standing out.

The occasional disappearance of one or two individuals went unnoticed.

He entered through a small door downstairs, and the player opening the door was surprised, “You’re alone?”

“Where’s the boss?

I need to talk to him,” Zhao Sheng said with a grim face.

The Holy Sword Society only had a dozen or so members, and half of them had left.

Only seven or eight were left at the mall, all of whom were now on the third floor.

“That group had at least five or six people, specifically targeting the Holy Sword Society.

Two were captured on the spot, and one was incredibly fierce, tearing through the electric net and breaking through the encirclement, injuring several people along the way.

Fifty meters away, responsible for the external surveillance, Nie Xuan gave an order through the headset, “Take the shot.”

They bound them with an electric net first, then sedated them with a high dose from a tranquilizer gun, and after the people fell, they dragged them out of the mall using a specialized pole from several meters away.

Of the eight players, five were gone in the blink of an eye.

Zhao Sheng and the other two hiding on the second floor could only retract their heads after witnessing the scene.

Zhao Sheng punched him away, “You’ve got guts, kid!”

“Stop arguing.” A burly man coldly interrupted them, dismantling a metal rack into rods, and handed one to each of them, “Only cowards strike their own men.

The Special Affairs Bureau isn’t giving us a way out, so we don’t need to show them any courtesy.”

“What do you want to do?” the young man asked, shivering.

“Use someone as a shield!” The burly man sneered and then leapt down from the second-floor railing!

A Special Affairs agent was approaching the staircase when suddenly he heard a noise above.

Looking up, he saw a dark figure descending from above.

Before he could make a sound, an iron rod pierced through his mouth and came out of his lower abdomen!

The Special Affairs agent’s eyes bulged, and he instinctively wrapped his arms around the burly man’s arm.

However, he was hoisted up single-handedly by the attacker, hanging on the rod like a skewered piece of meat!

“Ugh, ugh, ugh…” A large amount of blood mixed with bubbles flowed from his mouth.

The weak noise alarmed the nearby special forces.

As they turned around, suddenly someone flew at them!

Instinctively dodging to the side, their gaze shifted for a split second, and in that moment, a figure silently appeared in front of them!

The special forces soldier was startled, and as he raised his gun, it was knocked aside.

The next second, his throat was torn open!

Blood splashed across the face of the burly man, who nonchalantly wiped it off and pushed the body aside before lunging at the next target!

“Bang, bang, bang!” Gunshots rang out continuously inside the mall.

Nie Xuan heard the sniper’s report, “Captain Nie, there’s someone too fast; I can’t hit him.”

“Third squad, report your status,” he said into his headset.

“Captain Nie!

There’s a Cannibal Player slaughtering our men on the first floor of the mall!” a Special Affairs agent reported frantically, “We’ve already lost four people!”

“I’m aware.

You withdraw.

I’ll handle this person.” Nie Xuan handed over his command to his assistant and got out of the car to enter the mall.
