Chapter 120: 120, Nathan Moore, you should be satisfied now, right?Aunt Liu was about to say something, but upon seeing Olivia Zaneās tricky demeanor, she didnāt dare to speak up. She opened the liquor cabinet, took out two bottles of red wine, and went upstairs.
When she knocked on the door, she saw Titus Zane with red-rimmed eyes. Aunt Liu asked with concern.
"Miss Zane, are you alright?"
"Iām fine." Titus Zane forced a smile, took the two bottles of red wine from Aunt Liuās hands, and closed the door.
Aunt Liuās hand raised, hesitated for quite some time, and finally fell. She shook her head with a sigh and turned to leave.
In the banquet hall, watching Logan Ray lead Ava Charles through the crowd, Nathan Mooreās dark eyes slightly squinted. He raised his hand and gently sipped the red wine, though his gaze kept following Logan Rayās movements.
"Whatās the matter? Jealous?"
Nicholas Croft took a sip of red wine, his expression a mix of smiling and not, with a casual tone.
Nathan Moore turned his eyes to look over, a flash of sharpness in his gazeāthough fleeting, it was keenly captured by Nicholas Croft.
His thin lips slightly curved, he lifted his eyelids and threw Nathan Moore a casual glance as he began to speak.
"Donāt rush to deny it," Nicholas Croft raised his hand, his long fingers pointing to his own chest.
"Before you speak, touch here and think about what you felt when you saw Titus Zane flee in panic."
Nathan Moore withdrew his gaze and looked again towards Logan Ray, the tone of his voice somewhat indifferent.
"I donāt feel anything."
"Really?" Nicholas Croft asked indifferently. Nathan Moore again withdrew his gaze to look at him, only to see Nicholas Croft gazing down, unconsciously fiddling with the stem glass in his hand, and continued, "As your brother, Iām reminding youāsome things, some people, you donāt realize what youāve missed until itās too late for regrets."
Having said that, Nicholas Croft tipped his head back and drained the glass of red wine, then patted Nathan Mooreās shoulder.
"Iāve got to get back to something. You think about it."
The trouble caused by Sophie Foster wasnāt sorted out yet; the heiress of the entertainment magnate kept harping on Sophie...
After Nicholas Croft left, Nathan Mooreās gaze returned to Logan Ray. His eyes slightly narrowed, he tilted his head back and drained his stem glass of red wine. Just as he was about to turn, his mobile phone rang in his pocket.
He took out his phone and glanced at the caller IDāit was a number from home.
"Whatās going on?" Nathan Moore had just started speaking when Aunt Liuās anxious voice came from the other side.
"Sir, please come back quickly. Miss Zane got drunk and is walking back and forth on the cliff edge of the terrace, and nobody can persuade her to come down..."
"Understood." His response, a mere three words, sounded repressed. Hanging up the phone, Nathan Moore walked briskly toward the exit of the banquet hall, his handsome face dark with brooding, and bite marks visible on both sides of his mouth.
When Nathan Moore came back, the second bottle of red wine was almost empty. Titus Zane had just come down from the edge of the terrace, sitting there with one bare foot and one foot with a slipper on, a half glass of red wine placed on the ledge. She was still wearing the gown from the engagement party, and upon seeing Nathan Moore enter, she swung her legs and chuckled.
"Youāre back."
"What drunken folly is this!" Nathan Moore stood by the door, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his trousers, his gloomy face like a thundercloud, stifled and frightening.
"Hehe..." Titus Zane kept looking at him, giggling, her long legs swinging.
"Nathan Moore, you should be satisfied now, huh, hehe..." Titus Zane laughed, yet tears slid down from her eyes.
"Logan Ray is engaged, heās engaged, we... hehe... can never be together again..."
