"Seems your captain isn’t here, what about the Vice Captain?" Davy asked, staring at them, trying to salvage the protocol of the event.
Hitachi stared at the group, who were gesturing for him to step out, but he didn’t move, Hayatobi didn’t mention any Vice Captain, and he wasn’t going to proclaim himself as one. His discipline was ironclad; until the Master Teacher or Mirabella gave the order, he would hold the line, refusing to usurp a title he hadn’t earned. The awkward silence stretched, the tension snapping tight.
Suddenly, the ambient energy in the stadium completely warped. The clouds high above the open-air arena tore apart violently, a spatial rift ripping open with a deafening sonic boom.
