"Damn It!! She can actually use another skill?!!" Jang Gu exclaimed in horror, his eyes widening.WHOOSH!!!
The hyper-condensed spirit energy ball blew forward, displacing the very oxygen in the atmosphere, and violently smashed right into the first descending divine attack. The merging of the two conflicting energies created an unstable, apocalyptic singularity.
BOOOOM!!
The absolute Guardian barrier, hailed as the impenetrable aegis of the Second World, shattered like fragile glass. A blinding, catastrophic mushroom explosion rose high into the dark sky, completely obliterating 500 miles of land in a singular, horrifying instant, reducing absolutely everything—bedrock, architecture, and history—to nothing but drifting ashes.
Suspended safely in the turbulent sky, the members of the Ghost Guild stood frozen, staring at the visible, jagged creaks spiderwebbing across Mirabella’s golden shield in profound surprise. The sheer magnitude of the combined attack was so strong it had actually cracked Mirabella’s absolute defense.
"Cough!"
Nita coughed up a heavy mixture of dust and blood, forcefully kneeling on the scorching, blackened crater floor. She blearily moved her gaze around through the thick smoke, seeing the other three legendary Guardians groaning and agonizingly forcing themselves back to their feet.
’The whole city, she destroyed the whole city.’ She thought, slowly getting to her feet as the true scale of the destruction settled over her.
Five hundred miles in every direction was now nothing but a huge, smoking black crater... The entirety of Galaxy City was completely gone. Every single structural sign of a vibrant, neutral city ever being here was erased from the map.
"You guys looked so bad! Are you still able to fight?" Carolina asked with a mocking, sadistic smirk, staring down at the four mighty Guardians groveling on the scorched ground. Displaying a sickening level of casual control, she slowly raised her crimson hand and snapped her fingers.
SNAP!
The ground around the epicenter started shaking violently. The next moment, a massive, grotesque red-skinned hand burst out from the molten rock, and from the cracks, one thousand heavy Red-skinned zombies moved out in perfect, terrifying synchronization, easily and thoroughly surrounding the four exhausted Guardians.
"These guys?! How did they survive that attack?" Bonita exclaimed in utter shock, her golden armor cracked and dimming as she frantically moved her gaze all over the unkillable horde.
"As I said, today, you four will die!!" Carolina smirked at them, relishing the despair radiating from the continent’s protectors.
"Leader! Can we fight her?!" Fernando asked, turning to Nita, his massive frame trembling from divine exhaustion.
’Fight her?! We already exhausted all our divine energy, and she is completely immune to Spirit energy.’ Nita stared at the endless sea of red-skinned zombies aggressively enclosing their perimeter.
’If I add these guys on the table, we are in a huge disadvantage... There is simply no way we can win such a battle.’ She thought, calculating the grim reality of their doom, and looked defiantly up at Carolina:
"We fight to the very end!" She yelled, igniting the last, desperate embers of her soul.
"You are so annoying!!" Carolina sneered, stretching her hand towards the four cornered guardians. Suddenly, the ambient temperature plummeted as a black ball of dense, rotting red demonic energy appeared in her palm, spinning violently and screaming with trapped souls.
"That’s a demonic attack?!! Is she from the abyss?!" Jang Gu asked, stepping back involuntarily as he stared at the red and black energy ball, recognizing the forbidden, corrosive signature.
"She can use Spirit energy, demonic energy, and also divine energy... This is way out of our league." Bonita added, her fists clenched in absolute, terrifying realization.
"So what are you guys thinking? Surrender?"
A calm, icy voice sounded from the distance, slicing through the tension and instantly stunning everyone present. They all turned their heads to the north sky, seeing a flawless, radiant golden barrier flying smoothly towards them, with twelve people standing safely inside.
"Mirabella?"
The four Guardians, and even Carolina, exclaimed in surprised unison, staring blankly as the pristine ball of light stopped in mid-air directly before them.
"It’s a good thing you’re here, Mirabella! This way, I can easily kill you!" Carolina yelled, her eyes flashing with pure malice as she immediately redirected the apocalyptic demonic attack away from the Guardians and straight towards Mirabella.
"Die!"
BOOOOM!!
"Mirabella! Watch out!!" Fernando yelled in absolute shock, knowing the corrosive nature of the Abyss could melt through standard constructs.
The ball of black, screaming energy shot out from her palm like a cannonball, and violently smashed right into Mirabella’s golden defense, rising a massive cloud of toxic dusts and black lightning.
The thick, demonic smoke slowly made way, revealing the radiant light barrier untouched. There was not a single, microscopic crack on the golden surface.
"You?! That attack is filled with demonic energy?! How are you still alive?!" Carolina asked in genuine, horrified surprise, stepping back as her attack failed to even scratch the barrier.
"I once ventured into the abyss, and destroyed three cities, so why would I be scared of this puny energy? Why should I, Carolina? Sword Empire’s Princess." Mirabella stated, her voice echoing across the silent crater.
"Carolina?!!!"
The collective Guardians and even the elite members of Ghost exclaimed in profound shock, thoroughly dumbfounded, staring at the monstrous red-skinned lady before them with wide, disbelieving eyes.
Carolina was a bit taken aback by the sudden exposure. ’How?! I hid my true identity well, how did she know I’m the one?’ She stared intensely at the Guardians, her mind racing, then suddenly remembered Nadia’s words.
’Well, it doesn’t matter... Maybe this will be a catalyst.’ She thought, discarding her ruined disguise, and burst out laughing like a complete maniac:
"I don’t know how you saw through me! But so what?!! The Sword Empire already started the red moon project!! Nothing can stop us now!!" She screamed, her crimson eyes locked entirely on Mirabella in a twisted display of triumph.
"Red Moon Project?!! What’s that?!" Nita yelled at her, demanding answers as the fragile peace shattered into a million pieces.
"Oh, it’s nothing... While you are all here, the other two empires will fall under the Sword Empire. From today henceforth, I declare war on the two empires!" She yelled with absolute, fanatical fervor, stretching her arms out to her sides as if embracing the coming slaughter.
"You aren’t your father, what gave you right to declare war?!" Bonita snapped furiously at her, clinging desperately to the political structures of the world.
"Oh?! The man who called himself my Father is already dead, I killed him a week ago... The current emperor is nothing but a puppet!!" Carolina licked her lips, her voice dripping with treasonous poison:
"While you guys are here... The Sword Empire’s military forces would be at your empires’ borders!! Today, the second world will be plunged into chaos once more!" She yelled, confirming the synchronized continental invasion.
"Impossible!! The innocent people from the sword empire will never agree to this!!! You signed the peace agreement!!" Jang Gu yelled at her, his mind refusing to accept that an entire nation would willingly dive into an apocalyptic war.
"Innocent people?" Carolina’s dark smirk widened into something truly demonic:
"Every single soul in the sword empire is under my Master’s control... The whole soldiers will give their lives willingly!! You all will return to your Empires, only to find graves and flames!! That’s if you survive this!!" She moved a crimson finger around them, pointing at the ashes of Galaxy City as a grim preview of the continent’s fate:
"And you’re all powerless to stop us!"
