Chapter 389: Abyssal Convergence
Chapter 389 of "Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed" opens with suspenseful action: Nadia froze mid-motion. The elegant silver spoon slipped from her fingers, clattering sharply against the... Keep going!
Nadia froze mid-motion. The elegant silver spoon slipped from her fingers, clattering sharply against the porcelain plate. Her sudden stillness had absolutely nothing to do with Jessica, who was still frantically kicking and striking the enchanted iron cage in the background, but was entirely due to the massive, pure shockwave of holy power echoing down from the surface.
"I thought I was mistaken in the past, but now... He is right above me." She whispered, her voice dropping to a dangerous, archaic register. She slowly stood up from her blood-stained feast, her eyes narrowing as she felt the distinct frequency of an ancient enemy.
BAM!!
Jessica gave one more desperate, agonizing punch at the cage, her hands bleeding profusely, the flesh completely torn away to the point that the white bones were now vividly showing through the wounds.
Nadia casually waved her hand without even looking back, and a suffocating, invisible wave of force smashed right into Jessica’s fragile frame. The very next moment, the girl’s eyes rolled back and she collapsed heavily onto the cold stone ground, completely unconscious.
"Should I go up there? No... Those guys are with her." Nadia muttered to herself.
"If I reveal my true presence now, I will only prematurely endanger my plans..." She exhaled a long, chilling breath and slowly sat back down in her stone chair, refocusing her consciousness to send a high-priority telepathic message directly to the panicked Carolina on the surface.
"It seems that annoying ant already successfully arrived to the second world... The Aethelgard are always so incredibly bothersome to deal with." She sighed with deep irritation, calmly picking up the glass of blood on the table once more to continue her dark feast.
"All is well."
"Hahaha! It seems we don’t even have to move a single finger, and these pathetic humans will willingly kill themselves!" The Pope said with a mocking, booming laugh, staring intently at the surface of a huge, levitating obsidian mirror before him, which vividly displayed the absolute destruction of Galaxy City.
"The humans are already violently killing themselves, shouldn’t we immediately use this chaotic scenario as an optimal opportunity to launch an attack?" The Demoness of Lust asked, casually sitting on a jagged boulder as she ran a finger down her thigh, staring speculatively at the gathered faction leaders.
"Are you completely stupid? Why on earth should we do that?!" The Devil Cult’s third Lord snapped fiercely at her, her aura flaring with annoyance.
"Yes, instead of blindly attacking the humans at this exact time, we should strictly observe. After their bloody internal battles conclude, we will attack the weakened winner and effortlessly take them down... At that strategic time, taking over everything will be a complete walk in the park." Sagittarius said, his eerie, completely faceless face remaining fixed intently on Dracula.
"Silence!"
BOOOOM!!
The massive, blood-inked ritual circle at the center of the cavern trembled violently. The space tore apart as a towering, interdimensional gateway formed at the very center.
Everyone froze instantly on their tracks, their breaths catching as they stared at the stabilizing gateway, watching in awe as a massive, fleshless bony hand violently burst out from the spatial rift.
"It’s finally here!" Dracula yelled, her eyes wide opened in pure, unadulterated awe as the culmination of her sacrifices approached.
BAM!
Everyone held their breath in collective terror as the gateway groaned, and a second skeletal arm forcefully moved out, tearing the dimensional fabric wider.
BOOM!
The localized space directly above them suddenly shattered like glass, and Vassago materialized out of thin air. The powerful Demon Emperor stared down at the trembling ritual ground with a deep, intensely suspicious frown.
BOOOOM!!!
The gateway violently exploded outward with a concussive blast of necrotic wind, as a towering, ancient undead skeleton calmly walked out from the void.
Dracula stood completely dumbfounded, her mind racing: ’A skeleton? Shouldn’t a entity from the upper realms be a spirit creature?’ She thought to herself, feeling a bit lost by the physical manifestation before her.
"So this is the second world." The ancient skeleton muttered, moving his hollow, soul-lit gaze around the bleak ritual ground, then slowly at the terrified people standing paralyzed before it.
"It’s completely filled of death. I can’t even comfortably stay in such a restricted world..." It shook its massive skeletal head in disappointment, and suddenly yelled, its voice vibrating the foundational bedrock of the Abyss:
"How dare you stand in the presence of this Lord?!!!"
A catastrophic wave of pure, concentrated divine energy violently burst out from its frame, forcing absolutely everybody back. This was immediately followed by an intense, suffocating gravity pressure, which ruthlessly forced the elite members of the Devil Cult, the Holy Palace, and even the high-tier demons directly down to their knees.
’So impossibly strong.’ The Pope thought in complete, paralyzing shock, thick beads of cold sweat rolling down his terrified face as his level-suppression warnings went wild.
"How dare you force this Emperor to kneel?!" Vassago screamed in absolute fury, his sovereign pride flaring as he desperately forced himself to his feet, but the absolute weight of the divine pressure instantly placed him right back on the ground with a sickening crunch.
"Vassago. I know you well." The skeleton spoke casually, walking forward with slow, thudding steps, completely ignoring the emperor and stopping precisely before Dracula, who was kneeling right at the bleeding edge of the ritual circle.
"But first." The entity lowered its hollow gaze, staring down at her trembling form: "You did a very good job, Daughter of Gullveig. I am thoroughly impressed." It nodded its skeletal head in cold approval, stretching out a bony finger to lightly touch her purple hair:
"After I am completely done here, I will take you back with me to the fourth world. I am absolutely sure the Great King will very much like to meet you in person." It added.
Dracula looked up at the terrifying skeleton in a mixture of both intense surprise and profound confusion. When was she ever considered someone’s daughter? Although she absolutely loved the grand idea of ascending to the legendary fourth world, she had no single idea of that place.
The ancient skeleton walked right past her, leaving her frozen, and stopped directly before Vassago, who was pinned helplessly to the stone ground:
"Vassago... As a thoroughly useless son, you sure successfully created this isolated abyss, and even manually cultivated these low-lives demons into something slightly more manageable." It stated dryly, turning its two glowing, spectral eyes towards the kneeling succubus.
"But compared to the terrifying originals thriving in the fourth world, they are all just absolute trash." It added, dismissing their entire lineage with a wave of its hand.
’Originals?’ The succubus slowly turned her head toward Vassago with a deeply confused and horrified expression. In all her life, she had been led to believe they were the peak, primordial demons of the universe, and now, she had just explicitly heard that she and her people were nothing but cheap clones.
"How is that any of your damn business?!!" Vassago yelled fiercely up at the entity, his pride bleeding from his lips as the skeleton tilted its head to the side in cold amusement.
