After the server left, Chen Yang chatted with Wang Jingman for a while.

Although Chen Yang didn’t have much contact with Wang Jingman, their conversation flowed smoothly as if they had known each other for a long time.

“I ordered this bottle!

I want to propose a toast to you on behalf of Teacher Li.”

Wang Jingman smiled.

“Cheers.”

Chen Yang responded, and then they clinked glasses and downed the drink in one go.

Eating in the middle of the day made them quite hungry, and the shot of white liquor was somewhat uncomfortable.

Chen Yang immediately picked up his chopsticks to take some food to ease his stomach.

This second cup is from me!”

Wang Jingman smiled and nodded, then raised her glass and stood up again.

So he put down his chopsticks, picked up his glass, and stood up.

“Alright, let’s drink then!”

Chen Yang enthusiastically clinked glasses with Wang Jingman and downed another drink.

He had now downed two consecutive shots of white liquor.

“Can we eat now?”

Chen Yang asked with a wry smile.

Wang Jingman nodded with a laugh, “Haha, yes, we can.”

“Alright, let’s eat.

You should eat more too; drinking on an empty stomach is bad for you.”

Chen Yang sat down and naturally picked up a piece of meat and placed it in Wang Jingman’s bowl.

This action of Chen Yang was very natural; he didn’t even realize it might be inappropriate.

As soon as Chen Yang agreed, Wang Jingman immediately grabbed the bottle and began to pour.

“Shall we leave now that we’re done?”

Looking at the empty bottle, Chen Yang stood up and said.

They had eaten their fill and finished their drinks, and it was time to leave.

Wang Jingman nodded her head, then picked up her purse she had placed aside, and walked out of the private room with Chen Yang to settle the bill.

It was quite a coincidence.

Just as Wang Jingman was paying the bill, Gao Ya and Gu Linshan, appeared as they walked out of the hotel elevator.

Chen Yang was just feeling sober, about to leave without encountering Gao Ya.

But just as they were settling the bill, Gao Ya emerged from the elevator.

What are you doing here?”

Gao Ya walked up to the front desk with Gu Linshan and called out to Chen Yang.
