Chen Yang parked the car at the entrance of his home and opened the door to his clinic.

“Originally, folks wanted to invite you to come to the mountain, but thinking you might be busy, we let it be.

That’s why I was thinking of borrowing your eagle; after all, it has keen eyes and can be a big help.”

Heipi said.

“Sure, no problem.”

Once he knew Heipi’s intention, Chen Yang agreed without a second thought.

Heipi going to the mountains was, in a way, contributing to the community, and that was something Chen Yang naturally supported.

“Sit here and wait for a moment.

I’ll go get it for you.”

“Okay.”

Seeing Chen Yang’s prompt agreement, Heipi showed a smile and sat down in the clinic.

Chen Yang then turned and went to the backyard, called out Brother Eagle from its nest, and gave it a few instructions.

As he stepped out the door, Heipi’s face was all smiles looking at Brother Eagle perched on his arm.

With Heipi’s large group fully armed, seasoned in traversing the mountains, and if there really were a ferocious beast, they could surely handle it.

So Chen Yang didn’t worry at all.

He turned and went to the kitchen to prepare his own dinner.

After dinner, he took a bath and comfortably went to bed.

Lying in bed, Chen Yang remembered the magical experience of the previous night, and felt a surge of warmth in his heart again.

So he took out his phone and sent a message to Yang Caiyun.

“Sis, is it cold today?

Do you want me to come over and warm up your bed?”

Late at night, with hardly anything to do at the shop, Yang Caiyun replied almost instantly to his message.

“It’s not cold tonight, I don’t need you to come over and warm it up.”

Seeing this reply, Chen Yang was stunned on the spot.

It was the first time he had seen Yang Caiyun use such a tone in replying to his messages, like a gentle little girl.

Could this be because of last night’s affair, that she had changed like this?

Chen Yang was surprised, but didn’t think too much about it; this kind of Yang Caiyun was better, all soft and compliant.

“Hehe, but what if I want to warm it up for you?

What if I just come over?” Chen Yang tentatively asked.

But he was rejected by Yang Caiyun again.

“It really won’t work today, I have to help Qianqian with her homework, and she will sleep with me.”

Qianqian is Yang Caiyun’s daughter, who is just ten years old and is in the sixth grade of primary school.

These details Chen Yang had heard from Yang Caiyun the night before.

Initially, Chen Yang was full of excitement, thinking that tonight would definitely be promising.

The next morning, he got up early, washed up, had breakfast, and went out for a stroll as usual.

“Chen Yang, are you at home?”

Li Han asked directly.

“Of course I’m at home, where else could I go?” Chen Yang answered.

“Good, wait for me at home.

The design blueprint is ready, I am bringing the construction team over to take a look on site.

If there aren’t any issues, we can provide it to the Gu Family,” Li Han said.

Hearing this news, Chen Yang’s eyes lit up.

“That was fast?

I thought it would take at least a few more days!”

Chen Yang muttered to himself, and then after grunting affirmatively a couple of times, hung up the phone.

Knowing that Li Han was coming over, Chen Yang quickly made his way back home.

No sooner had he stepped through his doorway than Wu Kexin arrived.

It looked like she also knew that Li Han and company would be coming over.

“Morning, Village Head.”

Chen Yang greeted with a smile.

“Morning.”

Wu Kexin casually replied to Chen Yang and without any reservation lay down on the rocking chair in the clinic, as if she was at her own home.

But everyone was so familiar with one another by now that naturally, Chen Yang didn’t think anything of it.

He just smiled and asked if she had eaten breakfast.

“I have.”

Wu Kexin answered simply.

Chen Yang was rather speechless, why was her answer so brief?

Just as Chen Yang was about to speak, the sound of a car came from outside, and both stood up simultaneously, heading to the door to check.

Sure enough, Li Han and Yang Ruoxi had arrived with the construction crew.

Upon seeing Li Han and Yang Ruoxi, Wu Kexin’s demeanor instantly changed, and she greeted them with full enthusiasm, going up for a hug.

This scene left Chen Yang dumbfounded.
