The next day, Axel was going towards his first class for the day alongside Heinz, his friend, and asked, “It’s been more than 6 months since we came to the academy, right?”

Axel raised an eyebrow at his friend and said unenthusiastically, “Yeah, I guess.”

“Aren’t we supposed to have some kind of evaluation now? Everyone has been talking about it, but there is no news or statement about it from the professors, it’s almost getting on my nerves that how nervous everyone is about that,” revealed Heinz with annoyance.

Axel chuckled, hearing that, he stated, “Well, it’s quite reasonable actually, while we don’t know what kind of test it will be, but the prestigious families’ heirs do have some information on it.”

Heinz said in disdain, “Yes, yes, I know that, and that bit of information is what is causing tension between everyone.”

Axel nodded, “It makes sense after all, the first major evaluation by the academy is always said to reshuffle the rankings into something genuine, and it’s a test that is complex enough that no matter what aspects you possess, your strengths and weaknesses, all can be judged on that.”

Axel paused for a moment, then added, “Actually, you know what I think?”

Heinz raised an eyebrow and questioned sarcastically, “Yes, of course, what does the mighty runecaster think if I may ask?”

Axel smiled and said, “I don’t know if you’ve noticed but, the initial ranking that the academy gave is pretty damn wrong, I mean really, really wrong, specially because they said that it was based on their approximate guesses of each students combat prowess.”

“There are many students in our gold section who should not be here, and many students in the other sections who should be here, so it’s quite misplaced, and I think they did it on purpose, actually.”

Heinz had a thoughtful expression on his face, hearing that, he asked, “What makes you think that? They clearly said it’s based on their guesses, and it’s natural for the guesses of the professors to be off from what it actually is, you know.”

Axel disagreed, “Think about it carefully, the senses of higher stage Seekers is far too powerful, even if they are not fully accurate, there wouldn’t be such big mistakes in their evaluations, but you’re right, they can’t judge us completely, especially how we grow and become stronger.”

“But there is one more detail you might have been missed, which is that there are indeed many strong individuals in the gold section compared to the other sections but there are many weaker Seekers as well, so the difference in strength between the other three sections and us isn’t as big as we believe.”

“While the total strength of the other three sections is more or less similar. So, what I am trying to say is that while the gold section is indeed a bit stronger than the other three, it is just enough that they have a fighting chance if we did fight, at least considering the information I know about the other sections.”

Heinz arched his eyebrows as he began to think, and he found that it was indeed the case; he understood the point that his friend was trying to make.

“So, you’re suggesting that it will be competition between the sections?”

Axel smiled seeing his friend get the real point he was trying to express without needing to say it specifically, “Yes, most likely, though I don’t have any idea on how or what the competition structure will be like, you know.”

Heinz sighed in exasperation, “Yup, no one has any information on that.”

Axel thought to himself, he obviously didn’t figure that out, just from that information, he knew what kind of competition it would be, so he simply gave Heinz a clue about it, if he wasn’t wrong, they should pretty much announce it today.

They reached the building of their classroom and entered, they both sat together at one corner of the large class, a bit on the backseat of it, many girls glanced towards Axel’s divine appearance with even more heated gazes, a bit on the front was Lumina seated, who looked back towards him once, and he only gave a subtle smile towards her, he could clearly see her fuming in anger, the reason why all the girls were giving him such heated gazes were because his appearance changed again, it became more handsome because of his recent advancement.

But his subtle smile towards Lumina in front of everyone caused another wave of gasps. Lucien from another corner glared at him furiously. Sophia was sitting right beside Lumina; she had her usual icy, cold expression on her face, not bothering to react in any way. Meanwhile, Vyra gave a thumbs-up to Lumina. There were already so many rumors about them that Axel had simply stopped caring about them.

The whole campus pretty much believed at this point that they were literally married or something, like most of the chicks gossiped that Lumina every night sneaked into Axel’s apartment and they had steamy sessions every single night. Some even said that Axel is the one who goes into Lumina’s apartment, and that loud moans could be heard from Lumina’s apartment every night. Yeah, and so he didn’t even know how to react to that, from then on, he ignored every rumor or gossip about the two of them, and so did she.

Heinz was on the other hand, was overflowing with jealousy as he looked at Axel, gritting his teeth. He said through barely audible whispers,

“Damn, bastard do you want to make a harem of 500-600 chicks or something.”

Axel almost coughed up a mouthful of blood at that statement, of course, Heinz was obviously joking, his friend knew that Axel only had his childhood sweetheart in his heart, he wasn’t able to have any feelings for any other woman. So, he also threw in a jab of his own,

“Don’t worry, Vyra only has eyes for you, I can assure you that.”

“You motherfucker….” he almost became enraged at that statement, and kind of embarrassed as well. Their homeroom professor, in charge of the section, entered the classroom right at that moment, and they both immediately stopped bickering and sat down.

Professor Darwin put some files on his table, and he knocked on the wooden hard table two times to stop the lingering murmurs of the students. He looked around to ensure that everyone was indeed present, then addressed everyone simultaneously,

“Dear Seekers or students of the Gold Section of the Unified Human Academy, it’s been more than 6 months since you entered here. And dare I say, you all have learned and developed to the life of being Seekers splendidly.”

“These 6 months or so have been focused mainly on solidifying your foundations, so no major evaluations have been held, but now it’s time to give you all proper and accurate rankings, it’s time for a little reshuffle. And every 6 months, the academy will do a major evaluation.”

He continued to speak as all the students listened intently,

“Many of you will fall in the rankings, and many of you will rise. Many of you will not be in this section anymore because of that, and many new ones will enter it. Only the best of the best of the best ones can retain their rankings within the top 300 and remain in the gold section.”
