This masked figure wore the same mask Zena Karmann wore; it was obviously her brother, Zen Karmann. After being daily beaten to near death by Gareth in the guise of training. His attitude had changed greatly from that of a third-rate thug.He had also matured greatly. Or was forced to mature enough to learn and obey commands. Unlike his sister, he had not awakened his demonic ability or become a partial demon yet. Gareth said that these might happen once he advanced to the third phase.
Though he had great physical prowess due to the seed of despair and its influence, which evolved his constitution beyond any human capacity.
He was still quite far from wielding the sheer, overpowering might of his sister. He was still severely lacking; as such, Zen had little confidence in his ability to defeat Jaden, who was extremely smart and possessed the attribute of āExtreme Controlā.
Jadenās countenance changed, his gaze became ruthless, as he stated, "No worries, I will force all the words out of your mouth, you will spill out whatever you know. Then you can die."
Without any more words necessary, both parties clashed head-on in a furious battle.
In the skies, upon the Northern corner of the Battlefield,
Lucien hovered in the air, completely bloodied, his expression unusually solemn, as he gazed at the withering body of the powerful Lich named Belthrax. He had finally managed to kill this hateful Lich, or it was better to say that he defeated the Lich.
Because Liches in truth donāt really die, their souls simply return to their phylactery.
Belthrax gave Lucien a cold look just before his skull turned to dust. The creature spoke, "You win this time, Lucien. But the next time. Your tricks will not work. I will come for you again and again and again. Until you eventually die by my hands, oh mighty Golden Prince."
Lucien sneered, arrogance oozing out of his every bone, "No, by the next time you see me. You will not dare to come close. You will not even entertain that idea. You will feel nothing but fear."
Belthraxās eyes flashed in hatred, but in the end, he was not able to refute. The last remnant of his body, the skull, had vanished, turned to cinders.
The moment Lucienās enemy vanished, his expression twisted in pain as he flew back to the ground. His right arm from the elbow was cut off, and at the point where it was cut, it turned into a rotten tumor. There were countless other black small spots on his once spotless, shining figure.
Even the right side of his face felt like it was dried and decayed. He was horrifying to look at currently. Lucien obviously tried consuming the Golden potion of the royal family, but to his shock, every major injury he had suffered from the hands of that Lich.
It was almost like a curse, something that even his divine physique could not simply cure by its innate healing, nor would any potions work.
Of course, it didnāt mean that it was permanent, just that his golden bloodline was working on it, but extremely slowly; it would take maybe weeks for him to naturally heal back to normal.
Even for a battle-hardened warrior like him, every part of his body was hurting like hell. Imagine the normal pain signal coming from a pain receptor, but turn it into 100x. Thatās what those cursed black wounds were making him feel.
He barely had 15% of his energy reserves. There was a trace of apprehension lingering in his heart. Belthrax was strong, inconceivably so. In fact, that hateful Lich might be one of the strongest amongst all the lower-end third-phase seekers in the entirety of the Ghost Empire. At least, thatās what Lucien could surmise.
It was obvious that having such a difficulty in defeating Belthrax left a shadow of doubt in his heart. His pride was somewhat wounded; he shouldnāt have had such difficulty in defeating a mere Lich of a mid-third-phase, as someone who possessed the Golden Dragonās bloodline. Lucien felt ashamed.
And yet, before he could think further. Six distinct presences abruptly appeared in front of him through teleportation.
Every one of them radiated powerful killing intent. Lucien was caught off guard and immediately became ready to attack. Yet, when he actually sensed the power level of the six who appeared. He snickered; they were all merely mid-2nd phase seekers.
Slowly, as the fog spawned from the teleportation circle dissipated.
The faces of the six figures were slowly revealed.
It took a few moments, but Lucien eventually managed to recognize all of them...

His face showed hints of shock, then it turned to a pleasant surprise. Eventually, a cold sneer formed on his lips; his gaze filled with disdain. He stated in a mocking tone, "If it isnāt the Royal Heirs of the Six Traitorous Kingdoms of Humanity."
"You dogs only dare to show yourselves after I am seriously injured. Now, I barely have any of my battle prowess left. Haha, were you really that scared of me?" laughed the Golden Prince.
But the expressions on the face of the Minor Kingdomsā Royal Heirs did not change in the slightest; their gazes remained aloof, not the least bit bothered by his words.
Only Conner, who stood at the front, showed a small smile, "Please, Lucien, thereās no need for such provoking words. We both know that even at the end of the rope, you would still be that tenacious and cunning bastard that you always were."
Lucien blinked his eyes in surprise and smiled brightly, "Oh my, Iām not sure if youāre praising me or insulting me. Iām a bit baffled by your words."
But unlike his words, Lucienās red eyes flashed with a not-so-hidden cold glint, "But if you know that. What gives you the courage to stand before me? What makes you think that you pathetic, cowardly, traitorous bitches can touch a single hair on my head, even if I am in this condition?"
With every word spoken by the Suncrest Prince, a colossal pressure began to build up continuously, pressing down on the Royal Heirs of the Minor Kingdoms. At first, they didnāt show any change of expression.
But gradually, as the pressure of the princeās golden mana reached a crescendo, a subtle trace of struggle appeared on the five behind Conner; the eyes of the Raven prince flashed darkly, demonically.
The same thing happened for the five behind him, as a ripple of power spread from the six of them.
Something that made Lucien frown, a foreign sensation reached him from his bloodline, a strong sense of revulsion, mixed with hatred and disgust that was accumulated into the very blood of the Dragons throughout hundreds of thousands of years.
Lucienās eyes widened in shock, disbelief written all over his face, his expression turned grim as he realized the existence of a Demon bloodline within all six of them. Though it was incredibly faint. As it only brought out a subtle trace of disgust from his Dragon bloodline.
The smile from Connerās lips vanished, replaced by a vicious look akin to Hyena. With his lead, all six of them released their pressure, their mana mixing with potent demonic energy that made Lucienās instincts flare up like never before.
