Chapter 108: I’m a Swordsman?

BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!... BANG!

With Boone giving him covering fire, Six jumped into the fray of the Legion soldiers, and started cutting them like hot knife threw butter.

The first Legionary barely had time to react before Six’s Maser Vibration Sword carved through his chest like wet paper, sending a spray of blood into the air. The high-frequency blade hummed violently, its oscillations turning flesh, bone, and even armor into little more than an afterthought.

Boone continued his ruthless precision from the ridge. Every squeeze of the trigger meant another Legionary dropped mid-stride, their helmets or skulls popping open like overripe fruit.

Using Observation Haki, Six sidestepped a machete swing, twisted his wrist, andshunk—the Legionary’s arm came off at the elbow, followed by his head rolling onto the dirt. Another rushed in with a shotgun, but Six moved faster, the Maser Sword splitting the weaponandits wielder in two before the Legionary could even fire.

A mongrel lunged. Six turned, bracing—then suddenly,BANG!Boone took its head off mid-air.

Six grinned, slicing another foe in half across the gut, spilling entrails before kicking him aside. Another came from behind—Six ducked, letting the Legionary overcommit on his attack before shoving his sword backward, impaling him through the spine.

Boone didn’t let up. Every time Six shifted positions, another Legionary dropped from a headshot, keeping the battlefield chaotic.

The Legionaries were screaming in Latin, barking orders, but it was useless. Their spears couldn’t match Six’s speed of him using shave, and the few who used firearms were either fumbling with their deteriorated weapons or getting picked off by Boone before they could fire a shot.

One desperate Centurion, larger than the others, rushed forward, wielding a massive war club, swinging for Six’s head with all his strength. Six blocked, sparks flying as the Maser Sword’s oscillations clashed against the crude metal. The Centurion pushed with raw power, but Six twisted, redirected the force, and thencarved him clean in half from shoulder to waist.

The last remaining Legionaries hesitated. Their charge had turned into a slaughter.

ThenBANG!

Another soldier dropped, Boone’s shots tearing straight through his eye socket.

A tense silence followed, the only sounds being the hum of Six’s blade and the crackling fire of the camp in the distance.

Six exhaled, flicking blood from his weapon before looking back at the ridge. Boone was already scanning for more targets.

"That all of ’em?"

Six called.

Boone’s visor whirred as he surveyed the battlefield.

"...For now. Theres are still around a hundred in the camp."

Six smirked.

"Then let’s go send Dead Sea to hell."

Boone reloaded with practiced efficiency, his rifle already tracking movement in the distance.

"They’ll know we’re coming."

He muttered.

Six wiped the blood off his face, the scent of iron thick in the air.

"Let ’em."

Without wasting another second, they moved. Boone stayed on the ridge, keeping overwatch, while Six sprinted towards the Legion’s encampment, his claymore humming with deadly intent.

The camp was little more than a collection of makeshift tents and crude fortifications, but the sheer number of Legion soldiers made up for their lack of structure. Six could see them forming ranks, Dead Sea himself barking orders near the center.

As if sensing death approaching, the Legionaries raised their shields and prepared their spears. The Mongrels at their side snarled, their bloodlust mirroring their masters’.

Boone exhaled slowly, sighting down his scope.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Three heads snapped back, helmets useless against anti-materiel rounds.

Six didn’t slow down. He activatedShave, vanishing in a blur of speed, reappearing behind the first line of soldiers. Before they could react, his Maser Vibration Sword cleaved through three men in a single arc, the high-frequency blade cutting effortlessly through flesh and armor alike.

Panic spread through the ranks.

"He’s behind us!"

One of them screamed before getting a boot to the face, caving in his skull.

Boone capitalized on the chaos, picking off high-value targets—officers, Centurions, and anyone who looked like they might actually know how to fight.

A Praetorian lunged at Six with twin gladii, moving faster than the others. Six sidestepped, catching one blade with his armored forearm before twisting and driving his claymore through the man’s chest. He pulled the blade free in a shower of blood just as two more came at him with spears.

UsingObservation Haki, Six predicted their thrusts, weaving between them before beheading both in one fluid motion. Their bodies slumped to the ground as he turned toward the real prize.

Dead Sea stood near the command tent, his face twisted in rage.

"Use the captive to stop him, andKill the mongrel!"

He roared.

The remaining Legionaries obeyed, scrambled toward the crucified NCR soldiers, their intent clear—to use them as human shields or bargaining chips. Others attempted a final desperate charge to overwhelm Six.

The Legionaries

Six’s eyes darkened.

"Cowards."

With a burst ofShave

, he closed the distance in an instant, his Maser Vibration Sword humming with lethal energy. The first Legionary barely raised his spear before Six cleaved him in two, his upper half flopping to the ground in a heap of gore. The others hesitated just a moment too long. That was all Six needed.

His blade flickered through the air, severing tendons, splitting skulls, turning the charge into a massacre.

Boone provided support, dropping any Legionary who got too close to the captives.

One soldier made it to an NCR trooper, raising his machete to sever the man’s throat—

BANG!

The back of his head exploded, and he crumpled to the ground. Boone had zeroed in on the executioner before he could complete the deed.

Dead Sea bared his teeth, realizing his plan had failed.

"Fight harder, you dogs!"

He bellowed.

Six spun in a lethal arc, cutting down two more enemies before reaching the crucified prisoners. With a single precise strike, he sliced the ropes binding one of the NCR troopers, catching the man before he fell.

"Can you fight?"

Six asked.

The soldier, weak but still conscious, gritted his teeth.

"Just... give me a weapon."

Six handed him a fallen Legionary’s Cowboy Repeater.

"Then make them pay."

More NCR captives were freed, some too wounded to fight, others fueled by vengeance.

The battlefield had shifted.

Now it was Six, Boone, and a handful of freed soldiers against the last remnants of Dead Sea’s force.

Dead Sea himself drew his gladius, his expression venomous.

"I should have killed you on the cross myself."

Six pointed his claymore at the Legion commander.

"You’re about to learn why that was your biggest mistake."

Dead Sea snarled and charged.
