As the dust settled and the aftermath of the battle in Nipton became clear, Six gathered his crew. They stood in the middle of the ruined town, the corpses of Caesar's Legion soldiers scattered around them, along with the crucified remains of Nipton's citizens. The tension was still in the air, but the group knew they had to keep moving forward.

"So, guys..."

Six began, glancing around at his crew,

"We have a decision to make. We can either head to the Mojave Outpost to report what happened here in Nipton, which should take us less than an hour. Or we can chase down the Legionaries who took the survivors east. They're on foot, so they won't get far. It'll take them days to reach wherever they're headed."

The group was silent for a moment, each weighing their options. Cassidy was the first to speak.

"As much as I hate to say it."

She muttered.

"We have to report to the Mojave Outpost first. The NCR needs to know what's going on here, and it's their mess to clean up. We can't do everything ourselves. Besides, they'll be able to mobilize more forces than just the few of us."

Boone, normally the quiet one, gave a silent nod of agreement. He didn't seem too bothered by the idea. His hatred for Caesar's Legion would give him plenty of future opportunities for revenge, and he knew the NCR needed to be informed if they were going to make any real progress against the Legion.

Raul shrugged, indifferent.

"If we chase the Legion now, sure, we might stop them, but the NCR will wonder what the hell happened here. Best to give them the heads-up."

Rebecca, usually quick to jump into action, sighed but nodded her agreement as well.

"Fine. We report. But I swear if we waste too much time, those Legion scum are gonna be even harder to track down."

With everyone on the same page, Six made the call.

"Alright, we'll head back to the Mojave Outpost. We can report to Ranger Ghost, finish this 'Keep Your Eyes on the Prize' quest, and figure out our next move after."

The crew gathered their gear, Boone slinging his rifle over his shoulder while the others checked their weapons. As they began their journey back to the Mojave Outpost, the sun started to dip lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the wasteland.

The walk was relatively uneventful, a stark contrast to the intensity of the battle they had just left behind. After trekking through the desolate roads, the Mojave Outpost's massive statues—depicting two NCR soldiers shaking hands—came into view. The outpost stood like a fortress in the distance, guarding the entrance to the Mojave and symbolizing NCR's presence in the wasteland.

The crew made their way inside the outpost, heading straight for Ranger Ghost, who was stationed at her usual lookout post. She spotted them as they approached, her expression hidden beneath her sunglasses.

"Back already?"

Ghost asked, her voice calm but curious.

"I take it things didn't go well in Nipton?"

Six gave a nod, stepping forward.

"It's worse than we thought. Caesar's Legion hit the town hard. They forced everyone into a lottery, killed or enslaved the survivors, and crucified the rest. The mayor's dead too. They're heading east with the survivors."

Ghost's calm exterior faltered slightly as she processed the information.

"Damn. Nipton was no shining beacon, but this... This is bad."

She shook her head, clearly disturbed.

"We'll send word up the chain, get some troops on this. Thank you for the report. If you hadn't come back, we might have missed this entirely."

She paused for a moment, looking out over the horizon.

"I know it's not much, but you've earned a little compensation for your trouble."

Ghost handed Six a small pouch of caps and a few supplies.

"Take this, and if you're planning on chasing those Legionaries, be careful. They don't take kindly to people who stand in their way."

As Six finished his conversation with Ranger Ghost, the familiar sound of a quest completion notification rang in his ears.

His Pip-Boy flashed again, informing him that he had reached level 16. He wasted no time in distributing his skill points, boosting Barter to 95. He had been trading resources, gear, and information at an increasingly higher level, and improving his bartering skills was a strategic decision—one that would give him an edge in securing better deals in future trades.

For his new perk, Six selectedBetter Criticals, giving him a +50% increase in critical hit damage. In a world where combat was often life-or-death, hitting harder when it mattered most could make all the difference.

Six's grin widened as the gears in his mind turned. With the blueprints for The Prydwen now in his possession, the idea of a flying fortress patrolling the skies over the Mojave became more than just a possibility—it was the next step in his expanding empire.

Control over the skies would cement his dominance, allowing him to extend his reach beyond the Mojave, possibly as far as the NCR and Legion territories.

He quickly pulled up his Pip-Boy, preparing a message to send to his father, Viktor, who was back in Goodsprings working tirelessly on numerous projects in the mountain vault. The vault had become a hub of advanced technological development, and Viktor's engineering prowess was second to none.

Message to Viktor:

Dad, I've just come across something game-changing—blueprints for The Prydwen, a massive airship. We're talking about a heavily armored dirigible with a naquadah reactor at its core, capable of staying aloft and delivering devastating firepower. I'm sending you the designs now. Start construction immediately in the vault under the mountain. We're going to need this ready ASAP. Let me know if you run into any problems.

Six.

He attached the blueprints and hit send. Viktor had access to an endless supply of materials from Six's various scavenging runs, reverse-engineered technologies, and the matter replicator, so construction wouldn't be an issue. The vault itself was fortified enough to house the immense structure while it was being built by the B1's.

Rebecca, noticing the grin on Six's face, raised an eyebrow.

"What's that look about? You just found some loot?"

Six chuckled.

"Oh, more than just loot. I just sent my dad the reward plans I got from the System to build us a flying fortress. We're going to be ruling the skies soon."

Rebecca's eyes widened in surprise.

"A flying fortress? Seriously?"

"Yep. The Prydwen. Once it's done, we'll have air superiority over the Mojave, and we can extend our influence way beyond what we're doing now."

Boone, standing nearby with his sniper rifle slung over his shoulder, gave a silent nod of approval. Air superiority meant strategic dominance—a hunter's dream.

"You think Viktor can get it done?"

Boone asked.

Six smirked.

"If anyone can, it's my dad. He'll probably have the thing halfway built before we even get back."

With the plans in motion, Six's crew was now one step closer to changing the face of the Mojave Wasteland. The Prydwen would soon be his, and the skies would belong to him. And with the quest "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" officially completed, Six turned to his crew.

Six made his way through the NCR camp toward Ranger Jackson, feeling the weight of the mission's results on his shoulders. As he approached, Jackson, sitting behind a cluttered desk, looked up from a stack of paperwork and acknowledged him with a nod.

"Six."

Jackson began.

"I heard Ghost sent you on some recon. What's the situation?"

Six wasted no time and quickly explained what he had seen in Nipton—the massacre, the Legion's cruelty, and the fate of the townspeople. As he spoke, Jackson's expression darkened, his brow furrowed.

Ranger Jackson grimaced, leaning back in his chair as Six finished recounting the horrific events at Nipton. The news of the massacre clearly weighed heavily on him.

"Well, shit."

He muttered, rubbing his eyes.

"The Mojave's already a powder keg, and now this? Caesar's Legion is getting bolder. Mojave's going to hell faster than we can handle. The NCR barely has the resources to hold the frontlines, and now Nipton's gone..."

Six nodded grimly.

"Yeah, they hit hard and made a statement. If you guys don't act, things are only going to get worse."

Jackson sighed, his frustration evident.

"We barely have the manpower to keep the roads secure, let alone deal with this kind of brutality. And rebuilding Nipton? That's not even on the table right now with the budget cuts. Damn bureaucrats don't understand what it's really like out here."

Six saw an opportunity to make a difference and pitched his idea.

"Look, I can rebuild Nipton. My people and I have the resources. We'll turn it into something better, something that'll help the NCR too. Trade, security, supplies—if we can stabilize the town, it could be a major asset for everyone."

Ranger Jackson leaned forward, studying Six carefully.

"And what's in it for you?"

"Stability in the Mojave and my family owning more land. Trade opportunities for Goodsprings and the rest of the settlements I'm building up. We expand, you benefit. Plus, my people and I can keep the Legion at bay if they come sniffing around again."

Jackson mulled it over, clearly torn.

"It's a tempting offer. Nipton's a disaster right now, and the NCR can't spare the men or caps to fix it. But handing over control of a town? That's not something we usually do."

"You don't have much of a choice."

Six countered calmly.

"The NCR can't hold every inch of the Mojave on its own. Work with me, and you'll get a stronger Mojave—without draining your resources."

Ranger Jackson sighed, rubbing his temples as he listened to Six's proposal. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but the NCR's resources were already stretched thin. Between the ongoing war with Caesar's Legion and maintaining control over the Mojave, rebuilding a town like Nipton was at the very bottom of their priorities.

"You really think you can pull it off, huh?"

Jackson muttered, glancing up at Six.

"Rebuilding that town and making something good out of it?"

Six stood firm, his expression determined.

"Not just rebuild it. I'll turn Nipton into a thriving trade hub, bringing in supplies and trade routes that will directly benefit the NCR. We've got resources, and we're expanding. It'll be a win-win situation."

Jackson knew that Six wasn't just some opportunist. The man had a reputation for getting things done—Goodsprings had turned into a bustling hub under his watch, with people flocking there for work, protection, and trade. If anyone could rebuild Nipton from the ashes, it was him. Still, giving up an NCR town, even one as ruined as Nipton, wasn't an easy decision.

Ranger Jackson fought against the idea for a few moments longer, but deep down, he knew it was the best option. The NCR didn't have the funds or manpower to bring Nipton back from the brink, but Six and his crew? They had resources, influence, and an army of robots. Nipton could be useful to the NCR again, even if it wasn't directly under their control.

After a long pause, Jackson finally nodded.

"Alright. You've got a deal. Just make sure you deliver on those promises, Six. If you turn Nipton around, it'll be good for everyone. But you've got to promise that NCR caravans get priority on those trade routes. And if Caesar's Legion starts sniffing around Nipton again, you'd better be ready to defend it."

Six grinned, extending his hand.

"You've got my word. The NCR will have access to the trade routes and anything else we build up there. And don't worry about the Legion—we'll handle them."

Jackson shook Six's hand, sealing the deal.

"Alright, Nipton's yours. Just don't let it turn into another powder keg like before."

With the deal made and alot of calls to Shady Sands, Six had secured control of Nipton with another contract signed, another step toward expanding his influence in the Mojave.

He left Jackson's office with a sense of accomplishment, his mind already racing with plans to rebuild Nipton into a stronghold that could benefit both his growing empire and the NCR. He knew that securing this town would be another big step in expanding his influence across the Mojave. Now, it was time to start planning and bringing his vision to life.

Rebecca walked up beside him, raising an eyebrow.

"So? How'd it go?"

"Nipton's ours now."

Six said with a smirk.

"Time to turn that mess into a gold mine."

Boone, listening quietly as always, gave a single nod of approval. A stronger Nipton meant a stronger foothold in the region, and that was something that could turn the tide against the Legion.

With that, the crew was ready to move forward, heading out to begin the next phase of their growing empire in the Mojave Wasteland.

"Alright, we've done our part here. Let's get ready to head out and chase those Legion soldiers down. They're not getting away with what they did."

Boone, with a cold and steady resolve, simply nodded.

"About time."

With that, the crew prepared to head east, knowing that their next encounter with the Legion would be even more intense than before.
