Chapter 63 - Hungry for More

-Unknown Void-

The strange being in the yellow suit chuckled softly, his jagged teeth gleaming beneath the brim of his tilted top hat. His long, gloved fingers dipped into the popcorn bucket again, shoveling another handful into his maw with a grin that stretched unnaturally wide.

The TV flickered, showing slow-motion replays of Six and Rebecca ruthlessly dismantling Shido's undead horde. The carnage looped over and over, accompanied by the crunch of popcorn and a crackling hum from the old television.

"Ahh... Six and Seven ate Nine. Dancing together through chaos."

the yellow-clad figure mused aloud, his voice slithering like oil through the void.

"Quite the delightful turn of events. It's always the unexpected combinations that make things fun. And poor Shido... tsk tsk tsk. The man gambles with everything, only to get outplayedagain."

He leaned back in his shadowy chair, the light from the screen illuminating only parts of his inhuman face — one sharp eye glinting with amusement, the rest of him swallowed by the darkness under the hat's brim. He flicked a piece of popcorn into the air, catching it effortlessly between his teeth.

"Six always surprises me... but seven...Rebecca—she's got bite."

He whispered, his jagged grin stretching even wider, impossible and monstrous.

"And the way they devour everything in their path...beautiful.No wonder they ate Nine."

The being in the yellow suit waved a finger lazily, and the TV's static buzzed, showing fragments of memories—Six's destruction of Vault 22, Lion's group, and the confrontation at Spring Mt. Ranch State Park. His sharp-toothed smile deepened as the image froze on Rebecca's face, flushed with fury and laughter, manning the battle bus turrets with deadly precision.

"A force of nature, that one."

He whispered.

"What a shame Nine couldn't keep up. Poor fellow—he never even saw it coming."

He chuckled softly again, tapping the brim of his top hat.

"But that's the nature of things, isn't it? Devour... or be devoured."

As the TV flickered once more, shifting to the aftermath of Shido's failed invasion, the Eldridge creature paused, as if sensing something beyond the screen. His glowing eye narrowed with intrigue, his grin widening impossibly further.

"Now then... I wonder..."

The Eldridge creature's voice dropped into a playful, sinister hum.

"What will Six do next?"

He chuckled darkly, the sound echoing through the endless void like a slow, ominous drumbeat.

"And what willSixdo when Seven tries to eat Eight? Oh, that boy and girl are becoming the family's favorite to watch."

The eldritch being leaned forward slightly, elbows resting on his knees as his gloved hands folded under his chin. His sharp-toothed grin never faltered, stretching wider in a way that defied the anatomy of any sane creature. On the flickering TV screen, scenes from Six and Rebecca's escapades rewound and fast-forwarded like some cosmic sitcom, each bloody encounter more chaotic than the last.

"They do grow so fast."

the creature murmured fondly, as if watching beloved children.

"Six, so clever. Seven, so ruthless. Ah, but what makes them special is that spark—desire... hunger. They consume, they conquer. No hesitation."

He tilted his head again, the brim of his yellow top hat shifting just enough to reveal both eyes—wide and filled with unfathomable glee.

"Eightwon't know what hit him."

A low chuckle rumbled from the pit of his chest, vibrating through the darkness of the void.

"What's the saying... 'Family eats together, stays together?' Well, sometimes you just eateach other. And isn't that thefun part?Watching who takes the bigger bite?"

The TV blinked again, now displaying a tangled sequence of timelines—possible futures, each branching into wild, untamed outcomes. Some ended in flames, others in cold silence. In one, Six stood alone atop a mountain of corpses, victorious but with hollow eyes. In another, Rebecca cradled a bloodstained weapon, the hint of a smile on her lips as she stared at what remained of their enemies—and perhaps a few allies, too.

The creature hummed softly, tapping his chin.

"Will they devour each other, I wonder? Or..."

He paused, savoring the possibilities like a gourmet meal.

"Will theyteam upand eat the whole damned world instead?"

His grin stretched impossibly wide, and with a casual wave of his hand, the images on the screen shifted again, now focusing on Tanya and August along with their other siblings, the reincarnated children of Six and Rebecca.

"Ohhh, and the little ones...delightful surprises, those two.I wonder—what will happen when the children get hungry too? Will they play nicely, or will they sharpen their little claws against mommy and daddy?"

The creature threw his head back in a fit of manic laughter that echoed through the void like the toll of a bell signaling the end of an era. Then, just as abruptly, he stopped, his voice lowering to a near-whisper, dripping with sinister excitement.

"It's going to be such a wonderful feast."

He lounged back, crossing one leg over the other, his eyes never leaving the screen.

"Now, let's see what they'll do next... Shall we?"

With a snap of his fingers, the screen blinked back to life, replaying the latest events in the Mojave. As the chaos unfolded, the being in the yellow suit reached for more popcorn.

"This family is quickly becoming my favorite show..."

He whispered.

"And just between you and me,"DEAR READERS"... I always stay until thefinal bite."

-High School of the Dead World-

Six stood among the decaying remains of Shido's zombie horde, the acrid stench of gunpowder and rot clinging to the air. His boots crunched against the brittle bones of fallen undead as he turned to face his wife.

Rebecca, standing atop the twitching corpse of Shido, was a sight to behold. The barrel of her shotgun still smoked, and half of Shido's shattered skull lay in a pulpy mess at her feet.

Blood speckled her face, her green pigtails swaying slightly as she let out a satisfied huff. Her petite frame might have fooled some into underestimating her, but there was nothing soft or delicate about the grin she wore—a grin that gleamed with victory.

"Got 'im."

Rebecca muttered with a savage smirk, cocking the shotgun with a satisfyingclack.

"Took long enough, but the bastard's finally done."

Six smirked, stepping closer to her.

"Not just done."

He said.

"He's dust?"

As if on cue, Shido's corpse began to disintegrate. The mangled remains of his body broke apart into glowing particles of light, dissolving into shimmering streams that swirled through the air.

The radiant energy pulsed once before spiraling toward Six and Rebecca, drawn to them like moths to flame. The glowing tendrils wrapped around their bodies and sank into their bodies, filling them with warmth and power.

Rebecca blinked in surprise as the energy merged into her.

"Whoa... what the hell?"

A system notification flickered into Six's mind, displaying the three choices for the world Shido had left in ruins.

[-Trade the world for5 million MSP.

(Warning: Offer reduced due to extensive nuclear devastation and population annihilation.)]

Rebecca noticed him lingering over the choice.

"What's it gonna be, babe?"

She asked, leaning on her shotgun.

"We burning this dump or... taking it for ourselves?"

Six gave her a slow grin barely glanced at the first and third options before focusing on the second.

"We're plundering it."

He said decisively. There was no need for a discussion; this world was dead, and it might as well serve them in some way.

Rebecca raised an eyebrow but grinned wickedly.

"Ooooh, I like the way you think. Let's takeeverything."

Six confirmed the choice with a thought. The system flared:

Suddenly, the land around them seemed to exhale. Glowing streams of light rose from every lifeless corpse, ruined forest, and scorched city, converging on Six and Rebecca. They inhaled sharply as the energy flowed into them, reinforcing their bodies and minds, making them stronger, faster—and far, far more dangerous.

Rebecca's eyes widened as she felt the surge course through her, leaving a lingering warmth deep within. She tilted her head with a mischievous grin.

"So... we just got supercharged, huh? This is way better than just blasting zombies."

Six clenched his fists, testing the newfound power thrumming beneath his skin. Every fiber of his being felt lighter, yet immeasurably stronger. A slight smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"Yeah... we've got time on our side now."

Then came the second reward: theDimensional Inventory.A void-like space formed in Six's mind—a perfect vault to store anything and everything. Rebecca must have sensed it too, because she shot him an excited glance.

"No more lugging junk everywhere?"

She asked, already scheming.

"You're telling me we can stasheverythingnow? Even the dumb little knickknacks I find?"

Six chuckled.

"Anything you want, babe. And we'll have room to spare."

Just then, a new message flickered in their vision:

The ground gave a soft tremor, and the air grew thick with static. Six scanned their surroundings, waiting for the next threat to emerge. His hand instinctively reached for a weapon.

Rebecca swung her shotgun up, eyes gleaming with excitement.

"More leftovers? Bring it on."

But after a tense moment, the shaking stopped, and silence fell over the wasteland once more. The energy from Shido's world had been fully absorbed, and whatever lingering resistance had been snuffed out.

Six exhaled, lowering his weapon.

"Looks like it's over."

Rebecca grinned, slinging the shotgun over her shoulder.

"So... what's next, Big guy? Find another invasion? Loot more crap?"

He gave her a knowing smile.

"We'll figure it out. But whatever it is, I think we just leveled up."

Rebecca laughed, the sound bright and wild against the bleak landscape.

"Damn right. And nobody's gonna stop us now."

With their lifespans extended, their strength enhanced, and a dimensional inventory at their disposal, the possibilities were endless. They had survived Shido's zombies, plundered a dead world, and come out stronger.

And they were just getting started.

Six smirked as they made their way back to the battle bus.

"Time to see what the next adventure brings."

Rebecca shot him a playful glance.

"Yeah. And next time, let's hope it takes less than two months to win, huh?"

Six chuckled, shaking his head.

"We'll make it quicker... and way more fun."

They boarded the bus, the hum of its engine roaring to life. With the ruins of another world behind them and infinite possibilities ahead, Six and Rebecca knew one thing for sure:

Because in a world full of chaos and conquest, Six and Rebecca were always hungry for more.
