Chapter 41 - Deputy Beagle

Moments later he heard multiple gunshots and screams of;

"Please don't kill me"

"I'll give you whatever you want",

"Ooh, look. A little girl."

That last one made him crack into laughter, because of the next line.

"Ah! The Bitch blew my balls up."

Arriving at the casino area, his crew couldn't get past the casino entrance. The Powder Gangers kept firing at both entrances with napalm and gunfire, which made it impossible for the team to pass through the entrances.

"They barricaded themselves inside the casino room, boss. If we try to go inside, they'll burn us to death or riddle us with bullet holes. It doesn't look like they're running out of ammo anytime soon."

Raul informed Six about their predicament.

"Well looks like I had to perform another hat trick, to get us out of this predicament."

Six scrolled through his pip boy into the aid section.

Consuming 1 Tobacco Chew, 1 Mentats, 1 Psycho, and a Turbo as he ran Through the door. Six's speed, perception, and thought process were increased.

Time slowed down for 10 seconds thanks to the turbo Six consumed. He ran faster than powder gangers could react to, entering Vats took in the number of enemies and it was 20 in total.

Six's senses heightened as the mix of chems coursed through his system, creating an exhilarating rush. The familiar feeling of time slowing down from the Turbo hit him like a wave, and everything around him moved in sluggish, dream-like motions. His Pip-Boy hummed as he activated V.A.T.S., locking in on six nearby Powder Gangers.

With his pistols in hand, Six pulled the triggers. The sound of the guns firing was muted in the slowed time, but each shot hit its mark with deadly precision. he grinned as the first Powder Ganger's head snapped back, a clean bullet hole forming in his skull.

The second one dropped before he even had a chance to lift his weapon. One by one, the gangsters fell, their bodies collapsing in slow motion as Six's shots found home.

Six, using V.A.T.S., systematically took down the first few Powder Gangers with pinpoint accuracy, blowing them apart with headshots. His movements were fast and fluid, the world seeming to slow down as he entered the turbo-fueled focus that only he could achieve.

By the time, time returned to normal speed, six Powder Gangers lay dead at his feet, and the rest of the gang was only just beginning to realize what had happened.

"Come on, boys!"

One of the Powder Gangers shouted from behind a flipped table.

"He's just one guy!"

But Six was already moving, the chems still pumping adrenaline through his system. He sprinted across the room, dodging stray bullets and sliding into cover behind an overturned slot machine. His mind raced as the effects of the Mentats sharpened his perception. He quickly analyzed the battlefield, calculating the positions of the remaining gang members.

"They're all spread out... perfect."

He muttered to himself, a devilish grin forming on his lips.

Rebecca, meanwhile, was efficiently taking out stragglers, her movements as quick and lethal as ever. The two made a terrifyingly efficient team, their chemistry in both combat and banter undeniable.

"You and your crazy drugs... you're gonna burn out that brain of yours one day, Big Guy."

But Six wasn't listening. He peeked around the corner, lining up another shot. The Desert Eagles fired again, the pistols' bark echoing in the room as another Powder Ganger dropped, blood splattering the wall behind him.

The remaining gangsters were panicking now, scrambling to find better cover. One of them lobbed a stick of dynamite towards Six's position, but in his heightened state, Six saw it coming a mile away. He quickly dashed out of cover, rolling to avoid the blast just as the dynamite exploded, sending shards of wood and debris flying through the air.

As he came out of the roll, he raised his pistols again and fired off two more shots. Two more gangsters went down, their bodies crumpling to the ground.

Every shot landed with deadly precision, and within seconds, half of the Powder Gangers were down. Though there were still more targets, and Six wasn't done yet.

He could feel the Psycho making his heart race, fueling the fire in his veins. His bloodlust surged as he charged towards the remaining enemies. Bullets zipped past him, but Six moved too fast, too unpredictably. The Powder Gangers didn't stand a chance.

With one swift motion and a wicked grin, Six holstered one of his pistols and pulled out a grenade rifle. He aimed at a cluster of gangsters taking cover behind a barricade and fired. The explosion rocked the room, sending several limbs flying flying through the air. The Six cackled like a madman, clearly enjoying every second of it, while the rest were stunned, coughing, and dazed from the blast.

"God, I love gamer logic bullshit!"

He yelled over the sound of gunfire.

Six wasted no time. He sprinted forward, switching back to twin pistols as he closed the gap. In the chaos, he finished off the survivors with a few well-placed shots, his movements fluid and merciless.

After a few minutes, the fighting died down. Finally, silence filled the room, save for the faint echo of gunfire fading into the distance. Twenty Powder Gangers lay dead around him. The room was littered with bodies, and Six stood at the center of the carnage, admiring his handiwork.

Breathing heavily, Six lowered Lucky and surveyed the carnage with satisfaction. His pulse was still racing, the aftereffects of the chems lingering, but he felt in control. The thrill of the fight, the precision of his shots—it was all worth it.

Rebecca approached him, shaking her head with a smirk.

"You really don't know how to do things quietly, do you, Big guy?"

Six shrugged, wiping the sweat from his brow.

"Where's the fun in that?"

Together, they stepped over the bodies and made their way deeper into the Bison Steve Hotel, ready to face whatever—or whoever—came next.

"Alright, let's go get the deputy."

Six said, spinning his pistol and holstering it in one smooth motion, and calmly walked into the kitchen area where Deputy Beagle was being held.

They found Deputy Beagle tied up in a back room, clearly shaken but unharmed. He jumped at the sight of Six but quickly realized he wasn't one of the Powder Gangers.

"I've told you Powder Gangers everything I know! Please don't hit me anymore! Well, look at that! You aren't a Powder Ganger after all."

Beagle stammered.

Six raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.

"You must be Deputy Beagle."

Beagle nodded, clearly relieved but still nervous.

"Why, yes I am. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm in a bit of a predicament here. I'd be most appreciative if you'd set me free. I don't plan to come back to the Bison Steve much in the years to come."

"If I ever get out of it. I do hope this ordeal will be over soon. If we were to miss a convict or two in here, who'd know the difference?"

Six rolled his eyes but cut the ropes binding Beagle.

"You better not run, Beagle. And I swear, if you try to make a break for it without my say-so, I'll make sure you don't live to regret it."

Beagle gulped and nodded furiously, sticking to Six like glue as they made their way out of the hotel.

"So, Beagle how did the Powder Gangers capture you? Must have been an Epic fight that could be told for generations!"

Six asked Beagle in a sarcastic tone.

"The Powder Gangers stole into town at night and murdered my sister and her husband, the sheriff, in bed, while I was sleeping in the office. I watched them for a bit, waiting for the right moment to pounce and arrest the lot of them. Taking careful notes as I watched. To my dismay, they found me while I waited in the shadows and brought me here."

Exiting the Bison Steve Casino and Hotel, Beagle tried to Sprint to the Vicky and Vance Casino. That was grabbed by the collar by Six before he could make it more than a few steps.

"What did I just say about running?"

Six, pointed his pistol at Beagle's forehead making him go pale.

"Oh, uh, right! Sorry! I was just so excited to be free..."

Six sighed in exasperation.

"Listen, I don't care what you do after this. But this town's gonna need some law, and you're gonna have to step up or find someone who can. Got it?"

Beagle stammered out something about a former sheriff in the NCR prison.

"Well! That was quite a per-document you rescued me from, there in the Bison Steve. A most unpleasant experience. Going in alone to rescue a hostage! My brother-in-law was brave like that. Made a fine sheriff. Until the Powder Gangers killed him. The problem is, there's still no law in Primm. What're we to do the next time ruffians menace us and hold us hostage?"

But Six barely listened. His mind was already moving on to the next challenge.
