Chapter 44: Chapter 44: At Your Service (Part 2)She didn’t know the purpose behind Eva Miller’s question, she just nodded instinctively.

"Are you familiar with President Land?"

Familiar?

"Not familiar." She almost blurted out.

"I see." Eva Miller was clearly a bit disappointed, pouting with a slightly aggrieved expression.

"What’s wrong, Eva?"

"Sophie Smith, can you do me a favor?" Eva Miller pleaded.

"Go ahead, you’re my best friend, I’ll definitely help if I can."

"When you meet President Land, can you introduce him to me? I don’t mind even playing a minor role. Sophie, please help me fight for a chance. I know you don’t get many opportunities to deal with President Land, but I really need a role now. I don’t expect to be the female lead in my first film, but I need the experience."

Eva Miller spoke sincerely, and Sophie Smith found it hard to refuse, after all, Eva had always considered her as her best friend.

"Don’t worry, Eva, I’ll definitely ask him if I get the chance." Sophie promised Eva.

"Thank you, Sophie." Eva Miller was so happy that she couldn’t stop smiling. Truth be told, Sophie really didn’t want to disappoint Eva’s expectations, but that would mean she had to bow down to Asher Land.

The two drank coffee leisurely, chatting about some recent events. What Sophie didn’t expect was, Eva Miller mentioned that in the recent drama contest, Isabella Yates was partnering with Edward Harrison. She hadn’t heard Edward mention it before!

The phone suddenly rang; it was Asher Land calling.

"Hello." She deliberately lowered her voice, while Eva Miller sipped her coffee indifferently.

"Where are you now?" Asher Land’s voice was very cold, Sophie knew his mood wasn’t good.

Sophie had no choice but to report her location honestly. However, as soon as she finished speaking, Asher Land hung up abruptly without warning. She really couldn’t figure out what he was thinking.

Asher Land asked Robert Williams to go to the apartment to pick her up, but she wasn’t home, so he called to ask for her address.

Sophie put away her phone, and after about half an hour, Robert Williams arrived at Sophie’s location.

"Miss Sophie."

"You, who are you?" Sophie hesitated a little, as she didn’t have any impression of this man. She had only met Robert Williams a few times, so it was normal not to remember him.

"Miss Smith, President Land asked me to come pick you up."

Asher Land? What trick was he playing now?

"Sophie, President Land is looking for you, remember what I asked you to do!" Eva Miller said excitedly.

"I,..." Sophie wasn’t quite ready, she didn’t know whether or not to get into the car with this man, but Eva had already walked to the front desk to pay the bill.

"Sophie, hurry up and go with him, President Land isn’t someone you can just see anytime. Cherish this opportunity. Oh, make sure to remember my request," Eva emphasized.

"Okay." Sophie had no choice but to get into the car with Robert Williams.

She sat anxiously in the car, having no idea where Robert would take her.

Finally, the car stopped in the bustling city center.

"Miss Smith, President Land is waiting for you in his office." Robert Williams maintained a respectful attitude toward Sophie.

Sophie suspiciously got out of the car, and sure enough, she had arrived at the Golden Era Consortium.

She stopped in her tracks, looking up at the towering skyscraper. Asher Land, this man’s identity is just like this tower, standing at the highest position, unreachable.
