"Alright." Christopher was about to hang up when Sophie heard a harsh sound from the other end, presumably Charlotte Harrison saying something.

Vaguely, she overheard Christopher scolding Charlotte in a lowered voice, seemingly telling her to wait until Sophie returned home to address the matter.

This made Sophie curious about what they wanted to discuss with her.

She jumped out of bed, feeling somewhat anxious.

"There’s something going on at home, I need to go back now."

Asher Land didn’t say anything and also got out of bed.

"Help me get my clothes from the wardrobe." He said to Sophie, who was standing by.

Sophie nodded, walking towards the wardrobe. He had many clothes, mostly suits. Realizing it’s the weekend, he shouldn’t need formal attire, she picked through and finally chose a casual outfit.

Asher Land looked at the clothes she selected for him, hesitated for a few seconds, but put them on anyway.

A simple linen shirt paired with casual trousers, although simple, looked exceptionally stylish on a model-like figure like his, transforming him from his usual mature and steady suit-wearing self to someone as youthful as sunshine.

Of course, even if he appears sunny on the outside, it doesn’t change his demon-like nature in her heart.
