A while ago, the headquarters sent word that Luke Land would be coming to Eastern City, but he hadn’t expected it to be so soon.

"Tell me, what did the old man want you to do here anyway?" For this idle second brother of his, he didn’t expect the old man sent him to Eastern City to assist him, nor did he believe he was here to learn from him.

Sophie felt like all her time and space were occupied by Asher Land, and thinking about it made her somewhat frustrated. She circled the large house but felt like something was missing.

The house felt cold and lifeless, neither of them had ever cooked, so the kitchen was spotless and the fridge was empty.

Sophie checked her watch, it was already past nine in the evening, she thought, Asher Land might not be coming, she should choose to fill her stomach instead of waiting here foolishly for him to return, she thought it wasn’t necessary for her to do that.
