Nanny Garcia stood awkwardly at the door, watching the two entwined in the room, quickly lowering her head.

Sophie Smith hastily pushed Asher Land away, her face flushing red rapidly.

"I know, you can go downstairs," Asher Land said coldly. This woman seemed to have a kind of magic power, always making him lose some control.

Sophie Smith changed into a comfortable long dress and walked downstairs under Asher Land’s intense gaze.

Just as she descended, she was startled by the scene in front of her.

The downstairs living room had over a dozen maids standing properly on both sides.

"Hello, Miss Smith," everyone greeted in unison.

Sophie Smith felt extremely uncomfortable during this meal.

This was probably the first time having dinner with Asher Land, after all, she unexpectedly felt a tinge of nervousness inside.

Asher Land placed food into her bowl, then served her a bowl of soup.

"I can do it myself, you don’t need to bother," she said softly.

This woman’s behavior always made him hard to read. Sometimes in front of him, she’s like a wildcat with sharp claws, yet sometimes she’s like a gentle and shy little rabbit, just like now.

"What’s wrong? You’re not used to me being gentle?" He smirked, looking at her with interest.

Her body shuddered, then she slowly raised her head.

Exactly, what was happening to her?

Acting pathetic, was she?

Just because this man treated her a little better, did she give up resisting him?

"You call this gentle? That’s absurd," she said lightly.

"Sophie!" Asher Land stood up, his eyes showing a hint of anger, but she didn’t know what he was angry about.

"I’m just stating the truth," she continued calmly.

"Shut up!"

For some reason, he was so easily annoyed by her few calm words. This woman was indeed skilled in opposing him.

Sophie knew she had probably provoked him, revealing his true self again.

She stopped talking and focused on eating.

That meal between the two was spent in an awkward atmosphere laced with tension.

When Sophie Smith arrived at the film set, she learned that she was going to film an intimate scene with Wyatt Sterling today. Somehow, her heart was fluttering like a startled deer.

"So here you are, just relax," Wyatt Sterling said, approaching at some point and sitting beside Sophie Smith.

"Senior Brother," Sophie Smith stood up, entirely like a newcomer in the film industry.

"There’s no need to be so formal with me." Wyatt Sterling pulled her hand, letting her sit beside him, "It’s just acting, don’t be too nervous."

He seemed to notice her distracted look for the upcoming intimate scene and quickly comforted her.

"I..." As an actress, what’s the big deal? Sophie Smith encouraged herself to stay calm internally.

"It’s truly lucky to get your first on-screen kiss," Wyatt Sterling joked.

"Hey, Sophie, President Land is here,..." Jessica Wood from the same crew came over, upon seeing Wyatt Sterling, her originally arrogant demeanor instantly weakened, "Senior Brother Sterling, you’re here too."

"Mhm." Wyatt Sterling nodded, not saying much more.

"Sophie, I need to talk to you."

"Can we talk here?" Sophie Smith didn’t want to be alone with Jessica Wood.

"President Land..."

"Wait a moment." Hearing Jessica Wood mention Asher Land, Sophie looked at Wyatt Sterling beside her and hurriedly interrupted Jessica Wood, "I also need to go over lines with you, let’s go outside."
