The atmosphere in the car became a bit awkward because of what Sophie had just said. A sudden and abrupt phone ringtone broke the silence inside the car.

It was a call from Edward Harrison.

Sophie was about to step out of the car, but Asher Land pulled her back.

"What kind of call do you have to take outside? Who’s calling?" Asher Land asked as he tried to grab her phone. Sophie tightly hid the phone behind her.

"Don’t be like this. It’s just a friend." Sophie was somewhat helpless. Ever since being with Asher Land, her personal space was completely taken over by him.

The phone kept ringing. In front of Asher Land, she couldn’t answer it and she couldn’t ignore it either.

Unexpectedly, Asher Land snatched the phone from behind her, answered the call, and put it on speaker.

"Hello, you..."

"Little Sophie." Edward Harrison’s warm voice came from the other end of the line. Sophie had no choice but to respond. Asher Land held the phone with an expression as though he was about to watch a good show.

"Edward, I’m on set right now. Do you need something?" She was just hinting that she was filming, wanting to hang up the call. After all, that Demon, Asher Land, was now beside her, watching closely.

"Little Sophie, have you been busy lately? Do you have time to come back to school?"

"I..." Sophie looked at Asher Land, and he nodded towards her.

"I have time."

"That’s good." Edward Harrison breathed a sigh of relief, "It’s like this. Next Saturday is the annual school drama competition. Will you come to watch?"

Sophie knew Edward was participating in this competition, and she really wanted to go back to school to watch him perform.

"President Land, I have something I’d like to discuss with you." Anna said to Asher Land in a voice that was extremely charming.

"You go out first." Asher Land told Sophie.

Like receiving a pardon, Sophie hurriedly got out of the car.

She stood in a corner, watching the motionless car, wondering what they were doing inside.

In no time, Anna came out, and Sophie noticed a red mark on her neck.

Asher Land, he was simply a beast that could get aroused with anyone, anywhere. And he had the nerve to say he wasn’t shallow, yet he’s so shallow it’s unbearable to even look at!
